### "I love using the Mindbody app from both an instructor and a client perspective. "

Pros

I feel like it is mostly pros that I feel about the software. I love as an instructor you can see who is signed up for your class. I like that you can add people to your class and even charge client's card from their file for merchandise. I like that you can late cancel clients so they are charged for the fee. I think as a client it is amazing that you are able to see your class history. I like to visually see how many classed I've done in a month. I like that you can see your own schedule for the upcoming weeks and book out to keep motivated. I like that there is an app for your phone to sign up and cancel on the go.

Cons

The only con about this software is that there are times when it come's down for a day at a time and there is no way to sign up for class that day. If you just show up it may be overbooked or as a client it is hard to take attendance.

### "Works great for a fitness company - not so great for a web designer"

Pros

As a web designer, it's great to have an integrated software that allows people to directly sign up for consultations, schedule times, reach out, and have it all go directly into the system. This eliminates the needs for Zaps, manual data entry, or custom coding.

Cons

The forms sure are ugly! Plus, it's difficult to customize. Plus, if you happen to make a mistake setting things up, and the notification emails are sent to the wrong place (oops), there is no way to find those submissions. Sorry about that, fitness company I work for.

Have been able to avoid having reception with our appointment based business because of this software

Pros

\- The amount of business that we receive because Of exposure on thembo app - the ease of use for cliets and practitioners; simple to understand

Cons

\- the worst was when all the appt reminders changed this past year and we didnt realize that everyone would be opted out of the text message reminders they were receiving. We had tons of no shows and it took forever to figure out why as tech support ddnt fully understand the issue. It was super frustratig that we lost tons of business from that update and then endured another price bump shortly after in monthky fees. Big changes like that should be better tested in advance to understand the full impact on businesses that rely on specific features and proper in depth instructions for how to prepare for this should be explained in advance

### "Good Platform, but not Worth the Price for My Company"

I did use this along with MindBody, and it does offer additional options to help capture reviews, get customer feedback, and drip campaigns which are very helpful. The marketing campaigns are very similar to other software platforms. If I implemented drip campaigns, it might be worth the additional cost but for now I will stick with what I have then may revisit Frederick in the future.

Pros

It is a great quality product, and is easy to use

Cons

For me (with a contact base of about 2200 people), and being a small it isn't worth the price compared to Constant Contact combined with Quick Tap Survey. These are two separate platforms I use together for a less expensive option.

Overall this has been a positive experience. I use MINDBODY software everyday (when I open up my gym app) and it is pretty reliable.

Pros

As an end user, the app is pretty manageable and easy to use. I personally use an app that is hosted by MINDBODY for my gym. I am able to clearly see the schedule for all the classes offered and am able to sign up in a click of a button. The format is easy to navigate and the software has clearly been able to support my gyms users.

Cons

Sometimes the software will shutout or malfunction. I wish the software was a bit more dynamic so that you could have more business owner to end user interaction.

Pros

It’s a great way to allow students to register for classes ahead of time. The online registration also makes checking and tracking easy.

Cons

The design can make it a bit tricky at first. You have to know the exact spot to find something, otherwise it’ll take a while to accomplish your tasks.

Steady downhill experience.

Pros

Clients were familiar with this platform.

Cons

I had used MindBody for 6+ years. During the last two years I was with them, every few months there would be a change in either the pricing or the permissions. From the beginning to the final months payment, I went up in price over 300% and had less permissions than when I started. I called them many times to complain and was repeatedly told "we're sorry" but that was it. They are for bigger companies and don't care about the little guys. Beyond sad and disappointed with them!

There used to be more bugs but these seem to be less frequent as time goes on. The current version is more reliable. The App makes booking into classes quick and easy.

Pros

Intuitive to use and accessible on multiple devices.

Cons

Sometimes it hangs and I have to re-start the App.

Great experience so far. I look forward to continuing to use this app.

Pros

I was briefly introduced to this software during my orientation for work. My managers aren't very tech-savvy but they were able to easily figure out how to get things done on the site. They taught the basics to me but I was able to uncover the rest easily. I'm able to communicate with my managers through the site with the notes. If I were using this site as an individual trainer, I could sync my client's information to other sites which is a nice feature.

Cons

I have yet to figure out how to edit the notes or leave a note in response to a note, on something in my schedule. There isn't ease of communication in that aspect. The features are set up differently on the app versus on the internet. Logically, it's difficult to access scheduling and client information the same way as I would from the computer. You have to go about retrieving and giving information in very different ways.

I've been using MINDBODY software now about 10 months. It is a nice program with interactive apps, that when purchasing, the sales people will remind you how great they are for your business. "MINDBODY Connect, It's a free app for your students to download and they can connect to your studio!" 1. Beware of complaining about Mindbody Connect. When I reported challenges, I was told ..."well, it's a free app"...Really, then why was it pumped up so much in the Sales Pitch? 2. Tech support is hit or miss with MB employees who are awesome or awful. I had a time where I had to call weekly to report the system not operating properly and on the receiving end were the snarkiest most miserable tech support people Other times, I've had great people, which makes an uncomfortable conversation much more palatable. NOTE: It seems that quite frequently every other APP in the world releases updates, i don't see MB updates often. I run all the MB on Apple (Macbook, iPad, etc) I'm not certain if this itself is an issue. 3. Consumer mode vs BUSINESS OWNER mode. I might suggest taking a peek at yourself via the Mindbody Connect app. It let's you see yourself in the eyes of a consumer. (Don't log in with your business ID) Interesting that when you find things that make you go (( hmmm??))... Now go to your Business desktop. You can't seem to find these items via reports on your dashboard, like ALL ratings and reviews. Hmmm? Can the software design guys pare the results so it only shows perfection? Perhaps they should advise all Business Consumers to put on their rose colored glasses before using the desktop full version? ((Hmmmm?)) 4. It's a LOT of $$$ If you are new business, it's an additional large expense so you may want to consider a simpler less fancy alternative. But, If you've got the where with all to get up to speed (which in reality I don't think I'll ever be completely up to speed with this) and you think the end reaching opportunities of what this does (and can do with the super fancy and higher $$$$$ upgrades) is for you...then go for it. My last suggestion and most important suggestion... Memorize your client ID and the Customer Support phone number.

### "Worst decision I made to go with MindBody for my new business"

Awful... I am opening my new studio next week and we went live with the business listing on MindBody over 2 weeks ago BUT there is a software bug so I can't be listed and have limited functionality for my new clients until this is fixed... The customer support is terrible. If yo email for support it takes days even weeks for a reply. If you call support, I waited 90mins to get no answers. Noone can or is giving me a update on the time to fix the bug, in the meantime I open my business in a week and have already missed out on considerable amount of new clients because of this glitch. It maybe a one in a million chance this happens... but its the lack of support & service I have received to rectify the situation which I wouldnt recommend MindBody.

Pros

Initially the sales agent was fantastic & helpful. The product is well know in the industry & I liked on a starter pack you could get the function of their app for your customers without the price.

Cons

The software itself is great, when it works

Pros

As a user of Mindbody for several different gyms in my area, I was surprised there was finally an online solution for viewing class schedules and for signing up for classes. It also is nice to monitor gym memberships and my account as a user.

Cons

I've run into bugs with the software and dealt with it crashing several times. I'm not sure if it is the Mindbody server side that was down or the gym site, but I experienced this multiple times.

### "Extensive Features, But Very Expensive"

Middling.

Pros

As the title implies, the list of features is extensive. I have a private practice, as well as an artistic company, and I could use this as a ticket sales platform as well as a platform for booking private sessions and group classes and workshops. It had everything I needed, and more.

Cons

It is a frankenstein monster of added features that don't feel easily coherent. A lot of features are likely to go unused because they're difficult to access, unless you do their training program, which....feels to me a little unfair. It is also significantly more expensive than other platforms on the market that may not be as extensive, but are much easier to use.

Pros

Easy to display multiple classes with multiple instructors. Clients like scrolling through new class opportunities.

Cons

Mobile website not user friendly. Options can be overwhelming for new users. Can't message studios directly.

### "Too expensive for what it does"

I was using mindbody to replace acuity for scheduling my yoga/fitness classes and coaching client. It turns out that it has a lot of glitches for the users and on the administrator side it's overly complicated. It also doesn't have some of the features that I was used to (or perhaps I couldn't find them). For the cost of using this software I expected lots of bells and whistles, but they all cost more. I am a very small business trying to grow and have gone back to my previous software, Acuity.

Pros

The app is the one thing that is great about this product. I think it's why there are so many users.

Cons

The cost is far too high for a small business such as mine. When you factor in the exchange rate as well, almost my whole profit was going to rent and scheduling software.

### "Best way to plan my fitness lifestyle"

I was able to download the application to my phone so I could look at it on the go. I could look at workout schedules to decide when I will work out throughout the week, book a training time, and it holds me accountable with reminders of my scheduled times. This was an amazing way to help me plan and organize the health and fitness part of my life.

It has a phone app, easy to use, and made planning my life so easy.

Cons

There was not anything I did not like about the software.

The back-end management of classes is cumbersome. We use it for fitness and when the class time or instructor changes, or the class ends, the process to make these changes "right" so that the system processes them correctly is a pain.

we've used it for 5 plus years but unfortunately as they grew their vision changed and kept increasing prices rapidly. Not very solution oriented for customers who have been loyal. Last conversation we had with them felt more of a FU message and nothing could be done. They took features away that we have been using for years and forced us up to the next membership level to get them back.

Pros

Great reports, Tracks a lot of KPI's for a business, Easy to bill and set up auto pay, support has been helpful most times except when it comes to billing and feature issues.

Cons

To many bells and whistles that are not needed but you pay for, don't work with you well even as a loyal customer, jumped their prices 2x within a short period of time, force you into higher levels of membership by restricting reports you are used to. Overall unhappy with how they treat customers with their last membership level changes and had zero solutions to help you out.

Pros

I appreciate how easy it is to book and cancel fitness classes, keep track of how many you have left (in a set number of class package) and see how many classes you've been to.

Cons

I think it may be nice to set reminders for fitness classes. Say if I haven't booked in a week or two, a reminder pop-up to get me back to the gym might be nice :)

The features that this software offers help make running a business much easier, and most importantly grow your business. There are no other softwares like it.

Cons

With a magic wand, I would make adjustments to being able to schedule couple's appointments, create a payroll report that included PNL format. More accuracy on cost per service.
