The only software I need to run my business professionally, which takes care of my clients.

Pros

The easy of use and the customer support. I use online chat all the time, and it's great knowing that instead of fumbling around and trying to figure out what to do, I have someone who can walk and talk me through every concern, so that my clients get professional service each time.

Cons

As a start up small family business, we struggle with the cost of this. And the accelerated software is a huge cost which we cannot afford, but I wish there was some sort of packaging that makes it a bit cheaper.

I am a customer of three different businesses that use Mindbody and it is so frustrating to have to log out of each instance each time I want to book an appointment/class at a different location.

Cons

There should be a way for me to stay logged in on each companies separate website. This would make for such a better customer experience.

For the most part, the features are good. Some pages could be combined in order to avoid lagging screen switches. Support has usually been helpful except with glitches some users have on the branded app.

Pros

Popular amongst fitness centers and boutique studios Easy to use for most people and good training videos

Cons

Slow transitions between screens users being able to create multiple accounts The option for chat help is gone

Pros

All of my scheduling needs are in one place. It has an app that my customers can use easily from their phones.

Cons

I would like if the software cost less for businesses that are extremely small like mine.

Pros

Flexibility to switch between multiple business locations to book appointments. Online booking for guests. Payroll and time card capabilities.

Cons

Getting thru to tech support is a nightmare and most of the time, once you describe the issue, the tech puts you on hold while they reach out to their "GURU'S" (as they call them) to help you solve the problem, which takes up a lot of time. They need more staff and better training so as not to waste their customers time!! We went to this company because they promoted their "over 1000 employees" and 24/7 tech support.

It is difficult to see cumulative number of classes attended, but that may hav ebeen just how it was set up for my facility on the backend.

I will recommend MindBody software to travelers because it takes out the effort of finding location to do the things you enjoy at home. I can easily see how close the facility is to my hotel and other features that make it easier to be away from home but not from your daily routines.

Pros

The feature I like the most about Mind Body, is that I can travel mostly anywhere and it can help me find a yoga studio to practice at. Exception is the Caribbean islands, I would need to do the grunt work that normally this software alleviates me from having to do. It gives me the class schedule, the cost and location of the studio, I can even pre-pay, so all I have to do is show up.

Cons

I least like the fact that it is not everywhere, I am not sure how the connection is made with business owners but it would be wonderful if there was a broader capturing of businesses. Also if there was better way of ensuring that the business does fall under the selected category, for example, I have looked for yoga studio and then when I look into some of the businesses that appear in the results, they do not have yoga classes but they are a gym.

Pros

I like how you can easily access class times, payment, and descriptions of workouts all at once. It creates an easy platform that many different fitness places use. I like how I can access most of my studios in one place.

Cons

Sometimes the app can be glitchy. However the online web program is less glitchy.

Pros

MBO is a very powerful tool that gathers data and integrates well with other products. The analytics it provides are exceptional. Clients love MBO and often find the studio because of the MBO app.. The product is best used on a desktop or laptop as the iPad functionality is very lacking.

Cons

The studio user experience is challenging if on a laptop and even more so if on an iPad. The complexity of the setup can add to issues such as an inability to process a purchase because the list of items is long and the screen does not scroll; when processing purchases on the iPad I cannot assign a discount to the price or comp a class.; this morning I attempted to enter a cc manually on an iPad and mistyped the exp. date. I went to correct the information but the app continued to auto-fill the incorrect date. It is just one thing but this type of thing happens consistently.

Pros

I like that MINDBODY is very simple to navigate and use. It creates a list of your favorite studios so you can sign up for classes in different gyms through one app.

Cons

Only once there was a glitch where MINDBODY was trying to charge me $10 per class for a gym that I have an unlimited membership.

My experience has been good so far. My onboarding specialist, Courtney, has been great and so helpful. There are lots of great tools that I use everyday, but the unfortunately with starting up a business, the cost is not sustainable.

Pros

The connectivity to the clients, their ability to see the schedule and availability and do their own scheduling, helped me move to paperless scheduling

Cons

For all of the features offered, there are some very basic ones that aren't figured out yet. Ex: Different scheduling start times on different days, what shows up for customers purchasing class packs vs. personal training

I didn't choose Mindbody over this product originally, I was hoping to do a demo with them as well but was interested in the more cost-effective months due to the discount. I am still open to other softwares once I compare price vs value.

it is user friendly. Pretty simple to use and straight forward. Was easy to transition to. Reporting is easy to use.

I have been a subscriber of Mindbody since our yoga studio opened in 2014. Over the course of our first year of business, I can say with complete certainty that the capabilities for coordinating scheduling, staffing, sales, and payroll have been worth their weight in gold in terms of time savings and accountability. The Mindbody system itself is intuitive, easy to use, and I have been seriously impressed with the knowledge and responsiveness of MB support staff. Customer service provides thoughtful solutions, complete instructions, and have always been cheeful and helpful in my experience. There have been a few hiccups in "seamless integration" between Healcode and Fitness Mobile Apps, but the fact that I can make necessary changes in Mindbody that can then be broadcast on the web schedule, via app push notification, and across social media nearly simultaneously is AMAZING. As a small studio (generally ~100 customers per week), the month-to-month cost of doing business using Mindbody and its integrated partners is a fairly large percentage of our monthly income - however, the time the software saves me as the owner, and the independence it gives our clients in scheduling, booking, visit history, and payment can't really be measured in dollars. It pays for itself. All things considered, I would rate the product as 4.75 stars for ease of use, responsiveness, integration capabilities, and customer service. I have had some trouble with the self-service features, and at some point things were diversified with so many different names that I barely know what product I have in comparison to the others (Express, Accelerate, PRO, University, etc). The features have evolved over our year of use, and while changes can be unexpected, I appreciate the effort to keep up with client demands.

### "A Very Flexible Program for Yoga Studios"

When I taught at multiple studios, I was thrilled to learn they all used the same program. I could access all my classes from my phone to see who was attending class, how they had paid, what I had earned, etc. When I moved and started my own studio, only teaching a few people in a few classes, I couldn't justify the monthly rate of buying MindBody for myself. It's a great platform for busy studios but too much for just one teacher.

Pros

Checking students into and taking payments for classes Setting up classes in the program and making them available to the public Seeing important reports on revenue, student attendance, profit, etc. Available on mobile devices as well as desktops.

Cons

It's a bit pricey for a single teacher to keep track of just a few classes. It'd be great if there was a smaller product with fewer features available at a lower cost.

I was a contracted teacher for a yoga studio that required me to manage my classes with the software. It wasn't terrible, but no one looked forward to using it either.

Pros

I appreciate being able to have an overview of my students before class begins and be easily able to take attendance.

Cons

The workflows needed to do anything beyond basic attendance are often convoluted or more steps than strictly necessary.

I JUST WANTED A SPECIAL WORKSHOP AT MY YOGA STUDIO. I WAS WAIT LISTED AND HAD TO PAY FOR THE CLASS UPFRONT. I DID NOT GET IN BUT NO REFUNDS YOU NEED TO USE THE CREDIT FOR ANOTHER CLASS. I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER TO NOT CHARGE UP FRONT OR REFUND THE MONIES IF NOT IN THE CLASS THIS MIGHT PUT SOME OFF

### "Not worth the money for hair salons"

I was a pro customer for almost 3 years, and after the fees continued to jump up with no added value (for what I use it for) I started looking closer at what I was actually paying for and see why it was costing so much. In an effort not to go through the hassle of migrating my data to another platform I decided to downgrade my subscription. After calling and being assured the few reports I used would still be available, I downgraded my subscription level to Grow from Pro and the very next day when the changes took effect, I realized the ONE report I use daily is gone! I have two merchant accounts with them and the monthly subscription and they want me to pay an EXTRA $50 just to run a daily close-out report?! That's crazy! That was THEE last straw, I will gladly go through a painful migration process to rid myself of this complex system. For the past 3 years, I've had to call customer support to make small changes because like another posted mentioned, this system is more-so for gyms and not very user friendly. In fairness, MindBody, has a lot of features, but when I don't use over 60% of the features because I'm not a gym, $95/month is ridiculous. My few suggestions to MindBody: 1. Stay in your lane and don't court hair salons when you system is for gyms 2. Train your sales staff to know which subscriptions come with what so they don't misinform customers

We switched to Mindbody from triib. This software is way more user friendly and has been a big hit with our members. We love the branded app too.

Cons

There are a few things that make setting up classes and memberships a bit tricky. I wish it could be a bit easier to create pricing relationships.

I can't imagine not using this software at the yoga studio because it's so all encompassing. In keeping up with the times, I know that they added live streaming options, though I haven't used it myself. I feel like the software keep up adapting to the times, which means it'll always meet the needs of the users.

Pros

MindBody Online allows the yoga studio I work at to do all the things it needs to do to run the business. In short, manage student membership accounts, manage retail items, and manage the class offerings/teaching schedule. It is easy to use once you've spent some time with it.

Cons

There are often multiple ways to do the same action, which can be confusing if you're new to the software. There are also A LOT of buttons/options on any given page, which can be overwhelming.

It makes scheduling so much simpler. No need to show up at the gym an hour early to get on the wait list! Wish more things in life were this easy!

Cons

Unless you have the direct link for the studio, it can be difficult to find where you are trying to go.

### "Yoga studios using Mindbody"

I use Mindbody to book classes and services with different small businesses and to process payment to them. I've been using it in New York for quite a few years.

Pros

I like that it lets me book appointments with small businesses in a familiar interface. Some fitness studios have their own "proprietary" booking software and it rarely works as intended so I appreciate when places use the Mindbody interface since it's familiar to me from using it occasionaly for many years.

Cons

Mindbody is probably great on the business side to manage bookings, but it's a little confusing as a user when I have to seemingly create a new login for Mindbody access for every different business. If I book a yoga class, I have to log in, if I want to book a manicure with a different place I have to come up with a different login. There should be a master login for booking with any of the different businesses you interact with. I should also be able to see the appointments I have with my building amenities, my yoga classes, and my massage (for example) all in one logged in place but I don't think that exists.
