Pros: Provides quick visual of out of calibration. New users can get started with little training. Will be exploring unused features in the near future.

Cons: Not as many options to talior the software as similar products but the simplistict aproach is sometimes best!

Pros: Can figure out how to do things just by scrolling through software. It is integratable with SQC Pack. It is flexible--database can be centralize and used by several plants.

Cons: Really nothing!

Overall: Our company researched several brands of software and selcted this one based on ease of use and customer support. PQ Systems is very responsive and easy to work with.

Comments: I believe the utilization of GagePack can be further developed. From our experience, there are very few people who know how to properly use GagePack thus when there is a serious problem even few people know what to do. I personally see GagePack as a software that can be used as a great logging tool for all items in a company, not just things for calibration.

Pros: Still learning it. The little features are what help us through a lot of the mess we usually deal with.

Cons: Again, still learning. The problem we are seeing is that the software seems to be from the perspective of a large company that may have a small cal shop and mostly send thing out for calibration. In our case we are from the opposite perspective, so it is taking a little more effort to properly interpret the software to fit our needs.

Overall: While trying to integrate our old system to gagepack and have it fit our specific needs, we ran into a couple of problems we couldn't handle ourselves. Luckily there was a very useful customer service direct chat I could use. They were able to go the extra mile and help us out with any issue we had. They were very patient and helpful throughout the transition.

Recommendations to other buyers: Some knowledge in Microsoft Office would make understanding this software a little easier. Also some basic coding if you wish to alter some things around.

Pros: The ease of use. I can sort by any feature that is populated. The customer support is always spot on. Everyone is extremly polite and helpful.

Cons: The cost of the software is a little high when trying to put the system on multiple computers.

Overall: I absolutely love this software for our calibration system. It is very user friendly and the customer support is top notch. This system makes an audit a breeze.

Recommendations to other buyers: Gage R&R needs to be more versatile. I would like to be able to access more parts to be measure by more operators. The system is a little limited on more than 20 measurements.

Pros: Ease of use entering gages, tracking, performing calibrations and measurement systems
analysis.

Overall: I researched many gage management packages before deciding on GAGEpack and that decision was based on user interface, features, learning curve, and the outstanding customer service that PQ Systems provides. I use GAGEpack to control all measuring and monitoring instruments across our 3 facilities. Gages that are calibrated in house are performed through GAGEpack and will successfully pass internal and external audits regarding ISO17025 compliance. In addition, I also use GAGEpack to control infrastructure equipment making it easy to schedule maintenance events and repairs when needed. The robust MSA features are easy to use and provide the necessary information to make informed decisions on `what is to come¿ in our measurement system and processes. I would recommend GAGEpack to any company who needs to gain control over their measurement system and have the confidence to be in compliance when it comes to ISO and AS auditors.¿

Recommendations to other buyers: Recommended to any company wanting to gain control of their monitor and measuring equipment tracking.

Pros: Ease of setup, ease of use and the great tech support.

Cons: We would like to be able to give our users more editing and security capabilities among our global users. Example, we would like for our global users to be able to edit the General tab but not have the ability to affect calibration data. Another CON is the character limitations in some fields especially the NIST data field and your "storage" location.

Overall: We are a large company with many global satellite facilities. The support from Gagepack tech support has been extremely beneficial in merging capabilities and data from each location to make our communication and gaging more effective. The Gagepack system has helped merge our gaging needs into a more cohesive system.

Recommendations to other buyers: The availability of company specific features would be a nice addition.

Pros: I really like the system - very easy to use.

Cons: I would like a gagemail run on demand - and the ability to control when it does run. this way I could enter the days update and run it later in the day.

Overall: I really like the system - very easy to use. Technical support has and continues to be very helpful and thorough.

Recommendations to other buyers: suggest that and option for the gagemail system is to have a "out of cal" gage run every day - so you will receive a daily mail notice so you are sure the system is working - when an error happens within the mail system - there is no alert.

Pros: This software makes Audits a breeze! The filter functions are one of my favorite parts of the software. I can sort and separate all of our gages in a multitude of ways. The "Quick Search" function (Version 12) is a wonderful addition. This really helps during audits.
Customer service is exceptional! Any time that I have ever had a question about how to do something in GAGEpack I just call customer service. The support people are great. They are very knowledgeable and patient with me. I have never called support and not had them resolve my issues or answer my questions.

Overall: I work for an Aerospace company that specialize in aircraft engine components. I use GAGEpack to track over 5000 gages in our system.

Pros: The ease of use and wonderful customer service are just a few of the perks to this program. We love the customization of the fields, and reports. It's easy to log in, quick to load. The visual management (color of past due) and filters make it quick and easy to see what is coming due or past due. The email notifications and variety of groups to get those email notifications are a definitely plus. Our Salesman was able to give us a demo of the software to test prior to purchasing.

Overall: We have over 5000 measuring tools at our facility. Before GAGEpack, we had a paper system that was a complete mess - no easy way to verify what was coming due or past due. We¿ve been using GAGEpack since early 2013. In addition to calibration of tooling, we have a separate database for maintenance of large equipment on our facility (Lathes, Generators, Forklift, A/C units etc.) a database for safety training, and a database for keeping up with regulatory items. We started with 4 or 5 licenses to the program, but are currently holding 10.

Comments: We renew our GAGEpack each year. I am not sure what happened this year but we did not receive our update code before our current program expired.

I call and spoke with John Alkafajhi and he was very polite and professional on the phone. He emailed me what I needed and I was very happy with the service.

Comments: I submitted an issue about upgrading gagepack and moving it to a new PC.

My issue was resolved within the hour and was able to get the user back online.

John was very helpful and seemed quite knowledgeable about the product.

The only con I have is if you don't pay the renewal fee that the software stops working. I understand if the support stops but I don't thing the software should stop working.

Comments: In my opinion, I think this is the best program on the market because of the ease & user friendly. You can do so many different things with ease. The support is great also. The only con (a big one too) is when a new version is downloaded it wipes out all the custom made reports. I know one can go to the old version and copy & paste the file into the new version, but sometimes it doesn't work like now.

Comments: After using Gage pack for the last two years I have come across a few small things that would be nice to add or change for our specific needs. Much to my delight, Gage Pack has responded and has included these changes in their revisions. Cons: A little inconvenient that GAGEpack 9 can't read GAGEpack 3 databases.

Overall: This is the second calibration tracking system put in use at Mill Park. After putting this in place in 2002 we have not even considered an alternative.

Pros: Support personnel are always available and helpful. It is so unusual, but so nice, to get a human answer every time you call for support. The support personnel at GagePack are very knowledgeable and almost always have an immediate solution to my issues. I would recommend them to anyone.

Cons: Inventory Tab screen could be a little more flexible for adding column heading and sorting.

Overall: I would recommend GagePack and their support personnel to anyone. We have over 7000 gages, so management and control is daunting, to say the least. GagePack makes it much easier.

Pros: GagePack is a wonderful program to use for tracking of my lab equipment. I have had many compliments from auditors on the ease of finding information. I will continue to purchase the support agreement because it has been well worth the money over the years.

Cons: Reports are somewhat difficult to edit to suit your particular needs if you're not familiar with the structure format.

Overall: I would recommend this software to anyone in need of a gage tracking system.
