Pros: When it works, the Request process which checks out gages upon submitting it and returns them upon closure. The Report features with the multiple sorts.

Cons: Looses information, does not have a specific size field allowing for sorting by size, calibration measurements have a page per measurement - adding time consumption to the calibration process, does not allow for weeks, months, years to be used when you need to have the calibration time begin count down only after issuing the gage - making your date stamps/calibration stickers will not match what is in the system - ex: length masters are on a 6 month recall - if you issue on 1/1/18 it will be due 7/1/18 and that is what you would write/stamp on the label, in GAGEtrak - you may only use DaysAfterIssue - using an avg. of 30 days per month x 6 months =180 DaysAfterIssue. 7/1 is the 182nd day - so your stamp will be 2 days off from GAGEtrak. System is extremely slow, freezes up often, requiring many "Repairs" daily. Loses the security settings, request settings, etc. Requires local IT to be heavily involved instead of having a basic "plug & play" where our department could get things accomplished without waiting for days to months for a repair or research of a problem.

Regarding the usage frequencies, please be sure to check (and remove) any skip days that do not apply to your organization's calibration policy, or set the skip to default "Back" instead of forward when a skip is applied; 7/1/2018 falls on a Sunday and this is a common skip day. Please also note: we do not use an average of 30 days over a frequency period, we will calculate due dates by the system calendar (including leap years, etc.)

At the current time we have 2 issues we need help with. not real great customer service right now.

Pros: This software is very flexible and can do lots with it. we have Several plants that use the system. It is nice to have a system does almost all we need.

Cons: Making changes on the Certificate part . we need another way to get support. Since our company was bought by a bigger company they have so much security. WE cannot click on the link that is sent to us in an email. all we can do is send an invite for them to go thru Skype. We have learned the customer support does not and don't use it. we need the support we pay for but are not getting it. it is very frustrating that we cannot get these problems fixed. even if they would send steps and pictures in an email like a powerpoint would be helpful. They just like to close our tickets and be rid of us instead of figure out another way to help us. we have thousands licenses but there is no point in getting them anymore if we are not getting the assistance we need.

Overall: WE are able to keep all of our records on it. and able to send out all the monthly list for tools that are needed to be cycled thru for calibrations to be kept current.

Gagetrak has been such a valuable resource for us. The software makes audits a breeze.

Pros: For me, I like the amount of information you can have all at one place. With a few clicks of the keys I can answer any question an auditor may ask. What used to be stressful wondering if I could find what they needed in my filing cabinet has now become a time of ease. I just sit back and strike some keys and all the info is right there.

Cons: That is a more difficult duestion. I have used a couple types of calibration software in the past and to be honest, this has been my favorite. I guess my personal issue has just been trying to learn everything this software offers. I have spent many hours jumping in head first figuring out all the things Gagetrak can do.

Overall: We use this product daily to keep track of our gages. With this software we can flag when gages are due for calibration, have access to their procedures, and keep records of all our calibration.

Pros: The technical support is very good. I like the 1/2 seminars on line. I learned a lot from them. When I send in a help ticket on line, the response is quick. I have talked to support on line and they a very helpful in telling me the problem and helping me with the solution. The technical support is very knowledgeable. They also have technical support in early seeing how I am on the east coast and in Eastern standard time.

Cons: I had difficulties email reports. I don't know if it is the way we are set up, but I read the manual and still felt that it was something I didn't really understand. Also previous calibration system we used we were able to merge a system file number to the elements that comprised that systems. If we updated the system file number the other elements were updated also.

Pros: It enables you to manage your overall measurement system and the calibration lab. It is your main source of information daily. Quality and compliance are a natural by product. Gagetrak is a great resource during audits.

Cons: We find it difficult to filter and isolate products and locations. I would like to create lists of gauges that belong to particular stations. or lists of a type or style of gauge. I would like a standard calibration practices and procedures reference as part of the software. This would answer a lot of questions for users and act as a guide. A lot of what I have mentioned may be solved with formal training that I never received.

Overall: A great computer management control system. Gagetrak increases our efficiency and effectiveness and is the #1 enabler of compliance. We would have great difficulty being compliant without it.

This software is a solid performer with a lot of positives and only a few drawbacks.

Pros: The number of features it has is so extensive, it would be hard to imagine someone using them all. It is also very customizable and mostly intuitive to learn at least the basic functions. It performs well for someone working with several hundred gages or more. Their customer service is excellent should a problem ever present itself.

Cons: GAGEtrak 7 has a dashboard feature which some may find useful, but is mainly just window dressing. The relatively high price may be prohibitive for smaller scale users. There is at least some learning curve for inexperienced users. I have also experienced my fair share of crashes due to an "unexpected error."

Overall: We can easily and efficiently manage 2000+ gages with this software, which is extremely important due to the limited human resources we have to address this.

Pros: Very powerful, seems to have unlimited space, quick to move through software. Overall easy to read, very clear and easy to set up for updates to calibration... (time cycles are easy to manipulate to our needs)

Cons: Constantly stopping to ask questions on things I'm doing, or errors. Existing items not easily modified, and unable to delete certain items when spelled incorrectly. Columns unable to be modified to my own specifications. Reports are overly troublesome to utilize (seems that programmers tried to put everything locked in we would need and took away our ability to really customize) the calibration tabs are set up in a strange way and don't automatically update all tabs creating opportunities to have discrepancies in system (don't like the options within options)

Overall: It was able to do more than our previous software by far, but left out some key components that were included in the earlier original versions

Pros: Fairly well organized and functional. From what I can tell, it can be used from just basic tool tracking to full calibration records of individual tools. I wish I could talk my company into some full training on these more 'advanced' features.

Cons: Started using the software at version 6.7, then upgraded to ver7. Some of the changes int he new revision I do not agree with, and really make no sense to me. Also, although it may be related to our DB, the new version still seems to be a bit unstable when switching back from database mode to form view mode. Also, when the quick sort, there should be 1-2 more fields available (at least in my use)

Overall: Able to track tools on a calibration schedule and maintain the records.

Pros: It is easy to use and find the pertinent information that you need and works well for being audited and reviewing records.

Cons: Too many bugs found in the software. After leaving open for a period of time, the software becomes unbearably slow. Some disabled menu items still work (graphs, charts) which can causes DLL errors if tried to access. I don't like how runtime Access has taken over my computer. I still use Access for other applications and I have to work around this. I have built Excel spreadsheets to access the database to quickly retrieve data because using the software to view and filter reports takes way too long. Software is slow.

Overall: It useful for audit situations and is compliant.

I will have a support team member contact you regarding your dll errors, this is not typical behavior. Also, we are in our 5th release edition of version 7, so we will need to verify your install to determine if you can benefit from our latest update.

Pros: It is a thoroughly, thought out database, that covers about anything that might come up with calibrated inventory. There are lots of customizable fields. Once training is complete it's easy to use and pretty robust. GageTrak covers the essential pieces needed for managing calibrated items.

Cons: Users can login but that doesn't control their interface, meaning each user has to reset their fields after someone else uses the computer. Very frustrating.
Reporting is tremedously slow. Very difficult to get customized reports to behave correctly. Software in general is slow and prone to locking up if you get in to much of a hurry. These may be solved once they go to .net format.

Overall: We got our calibration tracking off paper and into a database, improving accuracy and providing a usable history. Improved our reporting and availability of calibrated items.

Pros: The software accurately records the gage management metrics and provides easy reporting and functionality for our 300+ gage inventory.

Cons: In a corporate setting, it must run on a remote server, and responses are delayed by a few seconds. This situation did not exist when it was on a server at the same physical site. This is not the software's fault, but that of the environment. I have had some difficulty loading values into a spreadsheet to re-import. Not all fields can be updated in this method, apparently.

Overall: It is a tool that allows us to track the calibration status and location of the inspection gages not only within QC but also within the plant. The structured reports are adequate for our needs.

Pros: I like the fact that I can set it up with 21 CFR part 11 compliance or not. I also appreciate the validation package we used to get the system up and running without much trouble.
the support I get from Cybermetrics has been excellent.

Cons: there are times that the program stops working when I am changing between different areas such as using searches then going back to the main screen everything will stop and I have to reboot the program. I don't seem to loose information but it is annoying.

Overall: The ability to sort through a variety of different ways helps me to find items that were labeled incorrectly in the past. This allows me to clean up my database and not loose past records.

Pros: easy to pull reports for calibrations due. Easy to enter new calibration records. You can attach reports from emails directly from the software if you have a compatible email system. gagaetrak seems to be a respected name with auditors

Cons: You have to go thru 3 different screens to print a calibration certificate. Editing or creating new reports is cumbersome. Wish you could designate a different printer than your default for the software. Attaching reports from Gagetrak to emails would not work until we changed email systems. Im nor using the mpost current version but it seems rather outdated

Overall: I use this daily to keep our calibration system current

Pros: have nothing so say what i like the most. it all works what is need for my ISO regulations. will start using using the msa module later in the year.

Cons: The draw backs experienced are : it takes a long time at start up to get the modules working. Entering values in the cal module, it takes some long seconds before field is active. When program is loaded and you have to log off the PC, when logging back on and start using the s/w, some functionality is gone. ( No buttons/exit on Gage Entry Filter is one of them ) restart is necessary.

Overall: I do not get any benefits from program. "It does what is says on the tin". During audits it is easy to show the functionality to auditors.

Pros: Fairly simple to use, and support from Cybermetrics is responsive. Just learned how to upload supporting documents, which will be very useful. Also learned how to change configurations for local customization.

Cons: We're starting to mine historical data, and the existing software doesn't enable detailed reports to show specific variation/range by gauge type. (its basically set up for PASS / FAIL type reports) Having default reports that enable variation analysis could help to identify opportunities for specific gauge/equipment improvements.

Overall: Ability to centralize all gauge compliance data, dashboards to actively manage compliance, and some reporting features.

Good piece of software with lots of functionality. However, I wish it's more customizable

Pros: The ability to run report based on custom criteria. In any given day, an auditor may come and audit us for gages, where we need to quickly identify gage based on possibly serial number, model number, owner, calibration date, recalibration due date, cost to calibrate, R&R, etc.

Cons: Data entry on comment section. Line break must be made with multiple keystrokes. I also least like the way calibration history is entered. Too many fields, and awkward way to freeze information.

Overall: 1). More visibility on calibration interval period
2). Ability to modify at any given time calibration status of any given gage
3). Good technical support after purchasing the agreement.

Pros: With over 2700 active gages, Gagetrak has helped me manage or organize my workload each and every month for the past 11 years. I would be lost without this software! I love how user friendly it is. When I first started my job here at Edelbrock, I was able to learn this software and pass a critical outside audit in my first two weeks of employment.

Cons: What do I like least about this software?Well, actually to be very honest, there is not anything that I do not like about it. It has never failed me in the past 11 years of using it.

Overall: My calibration process has been audited every year for the past 11 years, and Gagetrak has never let me down!

Cons: I purchased many GT licenses over the past 25+ years and currently own several GT6.8 licenses and like the previous versions, disorganized main layout. MS Access based platform. Not able to keep up with our fast growing data entry. Very slow updating data. Cybermetrics technical support had to repair the database many times putting our system on hold. We decided not to purchase the new GT licenses and are in the process reviewing other systems to replace GT.

Very professionally set up software. Makes calibration date keeping easy.

Pros: The prompt look ahead that shows what is coming due in the months to come. Most used function in our company.

Cons: The reporting ability. I wish there was a way to export all data on all gauges to a simple spreadsheet that can be made into a pivot table. This would be good as other departments without the software frequently ask questions about location/availability of a tool and an exportable excel sheet that can be put into a shared folder for all functions to see would be a benefit. This would also give us capabilities to produce KPI's.

Overall: Keeps are tools within calibration and helps us achieve IRIS/ISO certification after process audits.

Pros: Lots of capability if you know how to use it. Many potentially useful built-in reports, but not very easy to generate.

Cons: Nothing is simple and straightforward. Too many steps to get the basics done. I used GAGEtrak at two different companies and it was like two completely different software interfaces. Why do some functions change without any notice (e.g., typing in the notes after clicking on Pass now causes the previous useful information to disappear - why?)? Windows should overlap, not completely cover, so you can tell where you are relative to where you were.

Overall: It is widely used so it was good to have on a resume.

Pros: Easy to work with, our less computer savvy employees are able to start using within a couple hours of training and can manage the system with ease. After going to training and learning so much more than I had picked up on my own, we were able to implement and use so many of the cool features to make our calibration process that much easier.

Cons: Initially we had the FDA version even though we are a automotive facility, and it was really, really slow, but once we got changed over to the regular version we haven't had any issues.

Cannot think of anything that we don't like about GAGEtrak.

Pros: cloning- just clone a gage and add new ID name, change a few other sections and off your go. Setting up standards is a really easy feature also. Just add your lab standard and it will be printed on you cert. Over all I would recommend this program to any metrology lab.

Cons: I have not really found anything I don't like. once you get used to the software and how it operates, its like anything, you adjust. I have not had an major issues or failures.

Overall: I am able to keep track of all my gages that require calibration, along with due dates. the "pie chart" dash board is a great resource fro a quick glance of what is due are coming due

Pros: GAGEtrak offers a comprehensive solution for our calibration recall needs. It has proven to be invaluable for tracking and scheduling the calibration of our instruments.

Cons: The need to purchase a support agreement for support past the initial period. The software is quite stable and, once set up, problem free. The cost for the support agreements is excessive. Support and minor updates should be included with the purchase of the software. Users should only have to pay for major updates to the software.

Overall: It is a professional application which is excellent for tracking and scheduling the calibration recall of our instruments.

Pros: How customizable it is (Naming of fields in different tabs, ability to customize reports and labels, etc)

Cons: Dropdown list management was a great addition with version 7, however there are some fields that do not have a dropdown option.

Overall: I have been using Gagetrak daily for ten years and have had several version across those years. Over ten years ago I inherited multiple databases for multiple work groups. Each database was unorganized and cumbersome. Over time Gagetrak has allowed me to create one database for those multiple work groups. Gagetrak has made it far easier to create a better organized database which has made it easier for me to manage that work on a daily basis.

Pros: I like how I can keep all my calibrations in order and me on top of when things are due. It is super easy to add a new item. I can link files to certain items, which then makes it easy to find when we would need to access them. I like how I can print my calibration sticker out, eliminates human error.
Thank you!

Cons: There are so many different options that I know it is not all being utilized. I hope to learn more and use more of these options as we learn them. There is not much that I would say I like least, but maybe just need to learn more about it.

Overall: It truly keeps me on Trak!

Pros: This software has many features that are good for collecting and maintaining a proper database. can print reports based off many features some of which include date, type of gauge, department, etc. offering label printing, searching for gauge by department, individual, type, etc. Good features for maintaining a calibration site.

Cons: it continually locks up during initial opening of the software and runs very slow. During operation the software will lock up and you will have to restart again. Very aggravating to deal with when time is of importance.

Pros: Endless features for doing tool calibrations, maintenance, MSA studies, graphs, and record retention. It's like Minitab, only for tools.

Cons: GAGEtrak constantly locks up when returning to the Gages /information tab. When you open a tab in schedule, test points, etc., and you go to click back in the "Information" tab, a message comes up "Microsoft stop working", and you have to restart the program which is slow to respond to restart the software. The software is installed into it's own drive where the authorized user has to login.

Overall: Appreciate all the features it has to offer.

Pros: It keeps track of our calibration.

Cons: I know what I want when I'm looking for a tool. But not easy to find what I'm looking for. I just poke and hope. it's taken 3 of us to figure out a few simple steps. When looking for the last ID used to input a new gage. The system doesn't usually keep it in numerical order. It's bit me before, I have to just click to the right and go thru all the gauges. I want a simple system. So a low score from me, until I figure this thing out.

Overall: Not easy to use. I get lost.

The Help and User's guide offer some great tips for record navigation, and using record filters, etc. We also have some great training options for you and your team, as our technical support team. Pros: The ability to keep and retrieve on going records plus search for items. Our job requires differnt frequencies of calibration to be done and then monthly pull up the jobs. It keeps us organized and shows us what needs to be done and when.

Cons: Sometimes it can run slow or crash. Other times we struggle with 2 people being on the same program which also bogs us down (might be more internal). As shared above it's easy to write over something and click enter by mistake and lose our data.

Overall: Keeps us on track and is gives a ongoing record of our peoples performances

I use it daily and it works great.

Pros: There are lots of features and so much that I can do with the software. I have been using it was 3 years and still do not use everything that is available to me.

Cons: I wish there was an easier way to make changes, Like a copy and paste feature. (More like Excel) When I need to add the same information to multiple items/ lines it take way to long to type the same information.

Overall: It is a great place to keep lots of records. I use it for shop calibration. It gets used daily and helps when I need to locate something in our shop or when I need to look and see if we ever had a certain gage.

Pros: easy program to keep track of gages. lists that can be generated are very helpful for sending out to line leaders so I don't have to send out one large list to everyone

Cons: I'm going off of 6.8 since that is was I am using but I wish it was easier to move between records and I wish there was a way to add multiple standards to a calibration item. kind of clunky interface and not being able to search without either having exactly what you are looking for or bringing up a large list of things.

Overall: organization is a huge thing this program has going for it

Pros: Lots of good features. Like having both list and form views to work within. Reporting seems good if a bit slow.

Cons: Maybe its the way I understand the intended usage of some features. The interface seems to have some bugs (especially if I'm trying to work quickly). The windows sometimes steals focus or won't come to front of other windows when I click on the interface. Would like to issue gages to "location" instead of staff or vendors

Overall: Enable us to ISO/TS certification by keeping track of gages and tools required to maintain manufacturing to customer specs

Pros: The reporting functions and the dashboard are probably my favorite things about the software. I also like that you can print labels directly from the program.

Cons: I dislike how it is setup in Access, it frequently freezes and often times will not even load. I also dislike how time consuming and difficult it is to input the standards used for calibration and the configuration it uses to keep from entering repeats, I'm often very frustrated when trying to enter the proper data into the measurement tab of the calibration record.

I have Approx. 1200 gages due every year. it is great for managing what I have.

Pros: easy to use when calibrations are needed. I also use this for inventory. keeping track of equipment that is not being calibrated every year. but I would like to know if it is still in the plant.

Cons: I feel there should be already programed in set points you want a 0-1" micrometer then there should be drop box with the test points already in there. I know I am not the only one with micrometers or calipers or indicators. it should already be there .

Pros: Easy to use and teach new users. Auditors never question the calibration system. Most are seen or used it before and have confidence in the program. If they have not a quick run though is all it takes before they are impressed.

Cons: The drop down list being self building. With multiple users, they often put in multiple names for the same thing. I the admin could lock the drop down lists making they the only on able to add to them.
This would save me a lot of time correcting typos and just bad information.

Pros: Very Organized software and I would refer this type of software to any corporation for the use of keeping their tools and gages organized. The help desk/ customer service is right at your finger tips also.....

Cons: I am not able to use all of its functions, however what i purchased the software for has expanded my organizational knowledge according to its capabilities. The tab for calibration has too be started completely over if you make a mistake and put the wrong date in, so i really don't like that function but overall its okay....

Overall: The software has many capabilities and is something that you have to grow into definitely..

Pros: The ease of running a report to find calibration due dates by month & Area. Also the ability to save search criteria, for future reports. And the capability to print a professional looking Calibration Certificate, to send to customers.

Cons: Cannot add external calibration certificates to a file. Also that a record can be altered, and/or amended by anyone that has access to the database, it would be nice if only the person, and/or Supervisor, that entered the original data, would be able to amend the record.

Pros: The dashboard display, ease of use. Also the software is very visual and easily read by all. Auditors appreciate we use Gage Trak and do not have concerns with our calibration management when they learn we have Gage Trak. Ability to contain so much information is a plus. Also, we have several in house trained on this software and have found it is easy to understand basic calibration entry.

Cons: Keeping up with all of the upgrades. Training fills up very quickly making it difficult to find seats.

Pros: I like the Dashboard, the ease of finding what I need, to perform what I need to do such as reports etc., I liked GAGEtrak 6.8, once it was set up for my needs I never had to change anything. With GAGEtrak7 I have to set it up every time I turn it on.

Cons: GAHEtrak7 keeps bogging down, I work in a fast paste environment, I manage 3,700 plus active gauges by myself and just under 3,000 inactive gauges so I can't waste time clicking and waiting for the program to respond.

Overall: It slows me down so I'd have to say none.

Cons: The complexity of each individual window. Installation of software required an IT Admin to set up a local server. Installation of Cal Pro required IT Admin and Gagetrak Tech.

Pros: This is a complete package, fully in compliance with automotive quality system requirements. Although some initial training is usually required for those employees unfamiliar with basic gage control processes, an experienced gage control professional would find the operation and routines to be intuitive.

Cons: The licensing scheme is workable but I would rather see a process that allows a certain number of concurrent users and also allows the software to be seamlessly installed on numerous computers not requiring uninstall and re-install to move the software to other computers.

Overall: Using GageTrak as our only gage control software has improved our professionalism and allowed full conformance to IATF 16949:2016 requirements while aiding our technicians to keep reliable gages in the hands of our operators and inspectors. The use of reliable gages helps keep the reliability of our products at the world-class standard required in today's business climate.

Pros: Software works well for all our current needs. It is easy to work through the windows, print off required reports, and the dashboard feature we now have on 7.0 is a new feature to us that works well.

Cons: The 7.0 seems a little slower, it tends to do allot of saving, at each step. I have some issues with deleting some records at times, which can be frustrating.

Overall: We struggled with MSA 4th Edition Attribute Gauge R & R's and the Gagetrak software helped us input a report that was well received by our Auditors.

Pros: Once you get used to it its really easy to use. Probably the nicest feature is the ability to clone gages which makes new gage entry so much easier.

Cons: The Gage Kitting feature is a nightmare. Once you put a gage in a kit and issue it is impossible to delete the kit and remove the gage. I have resorted to manually changing the gage location after numerous attempts to delete the kit record and inadvertently deleted the gage record.

Overall: Other than ease of compliance I cant think of any.

Pros: Very easy once you learn how to use. the easy access to each gage makes it a breeze to fet around and make changes or enter info on specific gages.

Cons: Not too much. The cons I have are really limited. If there is a con to me I can just avoid it. The only thing I do not like in the 7.0 version is you cannot copy and paste like in 6.8. Sometimes I have reoccurring items and with 6.8 it was easy just to copy and paste. That is a little aggravating.

Pros: Very comprehensive and reliable. I like the "Clone gage" function and the Daily reports. I often copy and paste the "Data Sheet View" to do a weekly inventory of all gages.

Cons: Cannot copy/paste more than one item at a time? I'm changing "Standards" to be more uniform among gages but having to go through one by one. I don't really understand all of the functions (I was not the original installer). Not enough customer support.

Overall: Reliability but only one "User defined" field

Pros: Pretty solid software to run my calibration. Customer support is the best I have ever had to deal with.

Cons: Twice I have had a huge hiccup in function after performing an update.
When using test point groups, sometimes the list is jumbled ( instead of outside jaws 1", 2", 4", 6", it will do inside jaws 1", 2", depth rod .25" and kind of jump around) it doesn't happen often, but is annoying.

Overall: We are an ISO certified organization. It is a perfect calibration system for ISO

Pros: Tracking down due calibrations is great. It does not take a lot of memory to run so it does not freezes.

Cons: It's not user-friendly, and does not include all the reports needed for my business. It does not consider that there are difference nominal values within the same facility so we have to manually change every ref. std. for each gage. Time consuming and it costed us a minor finding during our IATF transition audit.

Pros: we track our gages monthly and annually, gagetrak makes much more convenient to track, I can print a report off weekly or monthly as well.

Cons: we track thread gages with gagetrak, these we have a frequency of annual visual check for thread wear with a replacement of every ten years, it is not real user friendly for that purpose.

Overall: it makes track our calibrations much easier, automatically prints out calibration stickers to cut out the errors.

Pros: it keeps me up to date with what is due for calibration. the dashboard is very useful the quick view feature is handy to find tools either by number or by description or by serial number. once tools are listed you can make additions to the tools very easily. the label software is very useful easy to change size depending on tool size. the ability to print out various forms is a great help

Cons: took a while to learn all the steps the user manual is not really helpful adding tools is not the smoothest procedure the need to contact the help desk is a bit of a task as our number seems to go to voice mail after a couple of contacts and no returned calls. the software like to crash a bit and needs to be closed and reopened sometimes twice a session.

Pros: The data is easily managed for auditing purposes. The schedule is good and has a nice overview on the daseboard.

Cons: Lost all custom reports when converting from 6.8. System locks up a lot when entering data, creating duplicate calibration reports. You have to wait 10 seconds before opening the gage tab or it says it not available. 6.8 was a lot faster and never crashed.

Overall: It stores all data from our over 7000 devices.

Really liked version 6.8, organization upgraded to version 7 and it is pretty buggy.

Pros: Comprehensive reporting capabilities, nice looking interface, more capability with additional gage and tolerance test points than older version.

Cons: Crashes very often compared to previous version, reports from older version are not portable to version 7 and data will not convert back to older version if you want to downgrade.

Overall: We have used this software since 2001 and it fulfills the ISO and corporate auditors requirements.

Does an excellent job overall. Auditors seem impressed by its features.

Pros: Easy report generation and the one button to assign a standard to all test points of a calibration. The dashboard is a very useful in version 7.

Cons: Not having one button to remove a standard from all test points of a calibration - a very painful process when you have multiple (up to 90 in my case) test points - 5 mouse clicks for each test point - ouch!

Overall: Keeps the 16,000 + gages I have to track organized.

Pros: It is a well respected way of keeping calibration records. Many outside quality auditors are impressed with the features of the software.

Cons: The latest upgrade causes the same actions to take more time. I have to create many more screens within the calibration records, and then again when entering the calibration readings. The latest upgrade was a lesson in learning.

Pros: In an audit, as soon as we say we utilize Gagetrack, the auditors are happy because it is known as a great tool for tracking calibration. Has made audits of calibration much easier.

Cons: Adding assets was confusing at first but once learned becomes easy. It would be nice for more choices in reports that can be printed.

Pros: The ease of navigation through the different sections. Everything was is at the tip of your fingers. Also, I can set the dashboard to remind me of the different replacement intervals.

Cons: The reaction time is a bit slow at times. You have to wait for the system to "catch-up" before you can move on to your next gage entry.

Cons: Reporting capabilities. I find creating reports to be difficult. Exporting calibration data and gauge listings is not as simple as I would expect. Ability to clone a standard group, rename it, and modify it would be very helpful.

Pros: Dashboard. Query functionality works well however, not user friendly as the delete function is where most programs have the execute function.

Pros: I like the software to monitor our gage calibrations, and like the cloning feature so that adding new gages only takes a couple minutes. I also like the different reports, and the export feature.

Cons: The inability to edit the dropdown lists are a constant nuisance. The upgrade cost is excessive. I also would like to see more automation.

Regarding your calibration cycles: We recommend that you change the frequency at the time of calibration so that there will be a corresponding cal record to go with the frequency change and a place in history to document the change. That being said, you can update frequencies and due dates between calibrations by simply changing the due date and clicking the next cal button in Gages (GAGEtrak will recalculate the due date). If you change a frequency and date this way, we recommend that you document it because the next due date at the time of the last calibration is stored in the cal record and therefore is a part of history and not updated when the change is made to the frequency and a situation where the next due date in gages does match that of calibrations is not desirable. Please contact us if you need further assistance.

When using the Usage frequency, the program won¿t create a next due date for calibration, but it will create an estimated due date based on the gage usage, even if you enter a calibration record for the gage. When you issue the gage, GAGEtrak predicts a due date based on the remaining number of usage days. You must use Issue Tracking (Issue/Return) for this to work and as long as you don¿t run out of Uses Left, there will be no Next Due Date until you issue the gage again. Pros: Easy to navigate through. Everything you need is right in front of you in the Navigation bar. I absolutely love that I can change what days calibration are able to fall on. I work 4-10s. I have it set up that Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are not available for calibration. Everything is due Monday to Thursday.

Cons: This software is amazing. I have not found a Con in the year and a half I have been using Gage Trak 7.

Overall: I am sure there were a lot of benefits. I have not worked with any other software of this type.

Pros: EASE OF USE. WE TRACK A LOT OF GAGES AS EACH CUSTOMER HAS SPECIFIC GAGE REQUIREMENTS SO BEING ABLE TO NAVIGATE QUICKLY IS A HUGE PLUS.

Cons: THAT IT REQUIRES A 2003 RUNTIME ACCESS DATABASE FOR THE 6.8 VERSION. THIS WILL CREATE FUTURE ISSUES (AND ALMOST DID) WHEN UPGRADING OUR COMPANIES SOFTWARE ON USER MACHINES.

Overall: GAGE TRACKING - REQUIRED BY FDA AND OUR CUSTOMERS

Pros: The thing I like most about the GAGEtrak software is the ability to customize reports and tailor it to my needs.

Cons: The thing I like least is that sometimes the software can run slow when accessing parts of the program and completing entries.

Overall: I benefitted from reducing the need for unnecessary paperwork cutting down on time wasted when printing out reports from GageTrak.

Pros: The platform is easy to get used to. Like the "Service Request" and "Issue Gages" options. Especially like the ability to see in a form view or a datasheet view.

Cons: Do not like the reports functions and setting them up. When installing on a new computer, had to try over 5 computers before it would allow a user to run certain reports.

I've been using it for more than 5 years & It is a very good program

Pros: I have been using it for more than 5 years and despite the stored data it is not saturated. It also throws a warning when there are capture errors.

Cons: The time that we have it we could not program it so that it sends printed the labels of the software when scanning directly.
nor can I know how many computers each user calibrates daily.

Pros: Cost effective solution that gives the business what it needs. You are easily able to track assets that need to be monitored for calibration.

Cons: Support is great but seems it is needed way too much during initial setup and working the bugs out. When the manufacturer includes a program with the product and says run this when you experience problem A. That is an issue. You need to resolve the problem and not give a utility that only fixes it on a temp basis.

Overall: Record keeping for calibration maintenance

Pros: It provides the necessary information to complete required calibration of the company tools and prints out a nice decal.

Cons: The software seems bloated with unnecessary things (for our company). But the most frustrating things is speed, which I know it speeds up when you reset the software. It my opinion, even at its optimum speed, there are too many steps to simply print a certificate for a tool as well as waiting for the last step to complete.

Overall: Able to track the calibration dates of the company tools.

GageTrak is a very user Friendly software and a great value.

Pros: The ease of use to track gauges and run R&R studies. The Dashboard feature is also great for a quick look at what is due or coming due for calibrations.

Cons: The only think I have an issue with is that sometimes the software is very slow and there is a lag when trying to open it.

Overall: It is very easy to use the and it help track past due calibrations.

Pros: Used throughout industry. Everyone has heard of GageTrak. Software updates are useful. Software notifies when gauges need calibration everytime the software is opened.

Cons: Does take some looking around to find features. Print set-up wasn't easy. Had to print off numerous times to find the correct settings on the label maker

Gage tracking is good, MSA suite needs a lot of work

Pros: I find it very easy to use the gage tracking software, I have started to include all of our molding presses due to temperature verification and it is helping better than I expected.

Cons: The MSA suite needs a lot of work. When performing a Gage R&R I would have expected gagetrak to do the calculations for Ppk and 6 Sigma for me instead I have to take the extra time to figure these out. It would be easier if the program calculated these for you.

Overall: Ease of tracking gages and an integrated MSA suite

Pros: The ease of navigation is probably the best part of the software. I recently trained another employee on the use of the software and she easily caught on right away because everything makes sense.

Cons: There is sometimes communication issues between the software and the data base. Other than that we have no complaints.

Pros: I like the ability to modify my reports and to enter data in one location. User fields can be modified.

Cons: The least liked about the software is that the entries can get lost and is quite cumbersome to retrieve.

Overall: Benefits include: custom reports; ability to send out recall notices; tracking capabilities; SPC functionalities; crib management capabilities

We rarely have issues when we do everything is answered within a quick email

Pros: How quickly it links with the database.. Easy to setup within our organization. Very user friendly!!

Cons: Sometimes the database crashes. When it crashes we have to get a backup from our server and restore it. It happened often at first, but not so much now.
When installing the software I have to move the install file from our network folder and put it on the pc that I'm installing it to, otherwise it takes an hour to install. We don't have that issue with any of our other software.

Pros: I think the information is organized well and easy to read. I like the reminders. it seems to have a lot of features-but we are not using it the way we should

Cons: I don't think there is a good "self-starter" guide and I can't seem to find any online tutorials. - could just be me though

Overall: helps us maintain calibration and be ISO certified.

Pros: Gagetrak is well organized. If the information is entered correctly it does a good job of displaying information and data.

Cons: Gagetrak in some instances can be a bit labor intensive calibrating, checking tools in and out. . Reporting can be a bit challenging as well. More defined reports needed.

Overall: Everything you need in one package.

Great software customer service is great. tech support when needed is always responsive

Pros: Software has been very easy to use and very robust. Updates are seamless and the tech support to get us upgraded from a few versions back was great

Cons: a few glitches between the import of our old data base. several updates to try and get it to work right very slow at first.

Pros: Great customer service, able to resolve my issue with one call. The support staff is super knowledgeable and they are will to go the extra mile keep up the good work

Cons: The hold time can be very lengthy at certain time but it's not unbearable . There is not really much I can say about the cons as the support is great.

Pros: How easy it is to attach files to records. How easily records can be entered. That reports can be customized. The number of reports available.

Cons: Wish it was easier to run a custom report (takes several steps) and wish it could just be a dropdown selection.

Overall: Ease of entering records and made it easy when our sister division closed.

Runs ok, if you are not to quick with the mouse.

Pros: You can open many libraries at one time. The search feature is nice. You can use many different size labels. Over all its a good tracking system.

Cons: You cannot enter your parts through the gage link. And you get errors if you try to print your reports or stickers too quickly.

Overall: Helps keep all calibrations up to date.

I am very happy with the way that GaeTRAK has simplified our calibration tracking.

Pros: The ease of interface for entry of information. The ability to sort and search for gages. The dashboard is extremely useful.

Cons: There are not enough options for Status of gages. There is an awful lot of the fields that we do not use so having it more configurable would be great.

Pros: easy to use and navigate through the different sections to enter data. being able to clone different tools makes the job easier and open calibration reports is a good tool for me to use

Cons: only con for me is when I click on calibrate the numbers lock kicks off and don't always catch it messes me up a bit.
