### "I started using GAGETRAK last year."

Pros

I like the quick option in trying to locate a gage and not having to type the complete gage number.

Cons

The instructions were not user friendly in trying to figure out the different options (MSA, etc.) I tried naming a gage with a # sign, I placed ( ) around the # sign, then I tried using the quick option to locate the gage, it couldn't be found, then in turn I had to rename the gage without the # sign.

Hi Renee. Symbols are characters generally reserved for programming and should not be used for data, most importantly in the Gage ID field, but also throughout the rest of GAGEtrak. Pros

Speed of the software and the ease of use. I use this to keep track of our Calibrations and Tooling / Fixture PM's

Cons

Had a problem with Reports loading. I had to install Report Viewer to get around this problem. This is a pretty minor issue.

Ease of use made audits simple and hassle free.

Pros

In depth gage history is readily available. Ease of issuing gages in and out of any location. Easy to learn and easy to train people on.

Cons

More of a customizable/filtered reporting, ie show me all gages due next 30 days that are in the quality lab.

Pros

For me the Dashboard is the most appealing part of the program. Managing a department for an Oil Tools Manufacturer is a full time commitment. When it comes to calibrations all I need to do is view the Dashboard feature and I can schedule all my upcoming calibrations in minutes!

Cons

Only advice I have for Lite is to be able to view previous gage calibrations from the gages tab.

Keeping up with all the gauges I work with in quality and on all the production lines, etc.

Pros

All the different features, some of which I'm sure I haven't learned yet but hopefully will in the near future.

Cons

A continuous fast forward of the gague numbers when in the search mode. When I started this new version, not enough info in the guide.

Pros

I like the way that alerts me of calibration due dates, and the way that I can add certs from PDF files. The reports that I pull from gagetrak for customer audits is very pleasing.

Cons

For some reason my software has slowed down, I think that I need to get more versed in using the archive feature to help with this issue.

Reminders for calibration due trigger email.

Pros

Ability to create reports. Ability to run MSA studies. Structure of database is great. Calibration scheduling is easy to set-up.

Cons

Still a little buggy when entering a new instrument into the system. Confusion on how the Test Points work.

Ability to manage hundreds of gages and maintain compliance to automotive quality standards.

Pros

The software has all the functionality required, and services required to meet the strict automotive standards.

Cons

Interface could be a bit more intuitive/user friendly. As a manager who only rarely accesses the system, I sometimes struggle to find my way around... Also networking capabilities need to improve. In order to comply and back up information, this needs to work flawlessly from our network.

Pros

This program has a ton of features that are extremely helpful as a Gage Calibrator. It makes my job easier!

Cons

At first this program has a VERY steep learning curve. However, after taking one of the training courses that cyber metric offered, I feel like a pro using it now.

Pros

Software easy to use and efficient. The software holds a large number of records so historical information is easy to find. Movement between windows and options is effeicient.

Cons

The software has issues when Microsoft sends updates and support is always needed to resolve the issues. The website does not have a lot of information on trouble shooting or resolving issues so self help is not an efficient option. There does not appear to a clear cut way of maintaining or moving the software.

Pros

It can be access from any PC with the software installed. Functions the same as regular . The cost of the service is good.

Cons

Customer service has been insufficient and we are struggling to make the adjustments. I started multiple tickets through the Gagetrack portal with no response. I involved my own IT department to try to work with the IT support. They are not making the fixes we require. Mainly the printing of calibration lables is costing the company a lot of money because we can't get the settings to be accepted that we need.

the user friendly system and how simple it is to add gauges, standards, and procedures. How you can quickly create a data base in access that is functional.

Cons

I do not like how the standards are organized and I wish the dashboard was more customizable. I would like to be able to generate reports more quickly as well.

Ease of use and intuitive nature of the computer system. I like the tables that it can create and I like that it is able to export them.

Cons

I would like to be able to do more with it with fewer menu clicks. I would like the system to be able to interact with SAP easiser.

Gained back much time previously used in tracking tasks.

Pros

It is adaptable to almost any task that requires tracking - not just gages. Linking to data sources and documents is invaluable during audits. No more running and retrieving certs or looking for answers for those on the fly audit questions.

Cons

Initial set-up but even that is quite easy and intuitive. Customer support and forums are quick sources for help and "out of the box" ideas.

Pros

Everything is easy to use and find once you get used to it. If I have needed help which I have at times a simple phone call is all it takes.

Cons

Really no Cons that are special other than some are a little hard to find until you get used to the program. I do wish I could delete tooling that is old and no longer used.

Tracking of around 200 measurement gages. Easy traceability and organization.

Pros

The convenience of having all my gages listed in a single data base. The Dash board makes keeping track of calibration dates and intervals easy and clean.

Cons

Establishing forms for supplier requests is cumbersome for me. Most likely due to my lack of general computer savvy.

Ability to enter large amounts of data and send automatic email notifications when gauges are due. This ensures our team members are getting the notifications and gauges are not out of control.

Cons

Cannot upload Gage R&R data from Minitab or Excel. This requires us to double-enter this type of information.

Pros

Gagetrack has many options to help us better track our calibrations and report out on the status of all of our equipment.

Cons

Initially the software was VERY slow. It would take up to 15 minutes just to enter a date into the system. Customer support was not very helpful until we paid for the warranty package.

The software seems very versatile. I think that there is some functionality of which we are not fully aware, yet

Cons

The training that we received was not adequate to cover the full capabilities. The training was by the company that sold us the equipment and software.

Pros

is normally a very efficient platform to track all calibrated items within a quality system.

Cons

I have been using for over 20 years. This has been the only time we have had any difficulties upgrading to a new version. Very disappointing.

Basically, I was doing better with the old software version.

Pros

The report feature is nice but need to have more options for generating reports. Also the software bogs down our system and makes it a long wait for each function to work.

Cons

Customer support.... I fill out the form and wait sometimes a full day until I hear from anybody. When I hear from them on email, it is usually after business hours and the support claim is closed.
