May 17, 2018 4.0 Having it show what is past due and and what is on the do to list when the software if first open is very helpful. Pros Not sure. I haven't been able to fully use the software to it's full potential. I haven't been fully trained, Just picked up a little here and there from previous user. Cons Too many way to filter and not easy to set up data entry the way I would like. I believe this is mostly due to my lack of training. May 10, 2018 4.0 The software was advertised in Quality Progress. So it helped during software selection. We were able to consolidate the old and latest calibration records in one location via this software. Pros It was a easy to learn software which allowed us to put all our gauges in one location and track their calibration progress. Cons The options to see the entire record is hard. Thus we never had the confidence to more completely away from our original excel spreadsheet. There are many ways that you con configure the software. Cons The fact that you have no LDAP hooks to link the software to AD, in addition to the fact that in the event you want to use a SQL backend to the application, it still uses Access on the front end which is not secure for an enterprise environment. Finally, there are not many templates to use as a basis to get up and operational with the application. To use something where it takes 6 months to get the application to a point where it is functional for a large secure organization is unacceptable. Review Source TL Tara L. " May 10, 2018 5.0 It helps me do my job quickly and efficiently. Pros We use very little of it's vast capabilities. It does what it needs to do for us and it is very user friendly. I attempted to muddle through but needed to make a few HELP calls and then did a couple of the tutorials and am now using the software adequately for our requirements. I do like that I can e-mail reports. Cons There is truly nothing I dislike about this software. It is easy to use and does everything we need to track and report our calibration requirements. Cons When we updated to GageTrak 7, I didn't like the interface and it is frustrating to find yourself on another window when you run reports. This makes it easier to either change specific data or mass data. Cons It's not as easy to reconfigure the reports and change fields. February 26, 2018 4.0 Being able to maintain and track due dates. Pros The Ease of use, and the layout is very easy to work with. Going from one screen to the next is very easy. Cons Trying to make reports and labels is difficult if you do not want to use the ones provided or if you want to add something to an existing report. Pros The query reports that give me the ability to quickly determine gage status, such as calibration status, inactivity, etc. Cons The inability to scroll through the gage listing from the compressed view. Unique records for each tool and ability to store staff/subcontractor records. Cons Manual and HELP are not easy to search and are difficult to use. Custom reports feature is cumbersome. Need to do more training to fully understand the capabilities for running reports. Cons System runs a bit slow and I have had difficult time accessing the software using our company's VPN. The reminders to perform necessary tasks on the scheduler is also a nice feature. Cons There have been difficulties associated with migrating the software after PC imaging and upgrades but have been fortunate to workaround. Pros The gages that are up for calibration are on the dashboard as soon as you open Gagetrak. You can open more than one tab at a time. The ability to store procedures and apply to multiple different gages is also great. Cons Every facility I have used this software in, it is a bit slow. Cons With our limited use of the software for tracking our equipment internally and having an outside company do our calibrations, a lot of the software's capabilities are not used.
