Heather Mund was a great help with our decision to choose gagetrak . With Heather's web demo we were able to see the functionality of gagetrak and if it was right for our company. The report viewer is a time saver and the email feature is another great tool. The little delay in moving from one screen to another is a little annoying sometimes.

Pros

Many available features can control and report in many different ways/ departments. Ability to monitor all aspects of equipment PM, calibration and verification

Cons

Help menu are not very functional at this point the help menu/feature does not open and search option provided no feedback

### "Best bang for the buck"

Solid audit reporting and ease of use.

Pros

Easy to implement and put into use. Training of staff is very simple. Adding the gage record to the program is easy to do.

Cons

The biggest issue is the manual entry of the existing gages in the system. Other than that it is hands down the best bang for the buck.

The overall experience was very good. Workflow specially is quite optimised and screen has enough data for your auditors.

Pros

The software I used only for testing purposes and could not buy. The software offers really good dashboard where you can see all the data which will help you to respond to auditor questions. The workflow system offers gives a smooth flow and better visibility.

Cons

I don’t have much to contribute to this section.

Pros

The user friendliness. The features and abilities to quickly export needed information. The weight it takes off our shoulders, especially during an audit, that all our gauge information is centrally located and accurate!

Cons

There is honestly nothing I've encountered that I do not like about this software. I'm not the person at our company who directly uses this software daily, but I do use it monthly at least. I've been happy with the features it provides me and how easy it is to navigate, especially since I don't use it daily.

Easy to get started with control of Gages.

Pros

Software is user friendly. Many "canned" features for reporting. Nice view options and ability to export data to Excel Spreadsheet.

Cons

Cannot see history and details of Gages Issued, Date, Job Number, etc. Also, cannot pull a report to capture all gages issued.

There are several reports in GAGEtrak that pertain to issued gages, such as Gage Issue History, Cal Due Listing by Issued To, Gage Staff Issued To List, etc. If you need these reports to contain more information than they do already, you can customize the reports by adding fields. Please take a look at the help system that is accessible from within the software. It contains sections called Report Descriptions and Modify an Existing Report, both of which should provide the information you need. Manage the gages for our lab.

Pros

Very thorough to manage a multitude of gage issues and data. Holds calibration data, due dates, serial numbers, etc.

Cons

It's too slow. Takes forever to open, update, print, do anything. There are too many menus and I can't customize easily.

Pros

The software appears to be very reliable with keeping track of the gages. Once set up it is easy to keep track of gages.

Cons

It isn't easy getting implemented. The software isn't necessarily hard to use but it isn't exactly intuitive to use.

unifies the database for gages

Pros

Fairly easy learning curve for adding gages and equipment into the system. Webinars are very helpful for learning tips and tricks

Cons

It would be nice for the administrator to be able to selectively highlight input boxes as yellow (or any colour), to indicate what fields are mandatory to fill out for other users adding gauges or calibration data.

Though highlighting fields is not an option right now, you are able to customize fields in other ways to make it obvious that they're mandatory, such as making the field names bold or in all caps, for instance. where do I start? Records of all tools, easy to enter in the information. Location of tools. Auditors will have no issues knowing what was done and how to look up what they need.

Pros

The ease of entering information. cloning gages and entering calibration procedures are very important .

Cons

nothing about the software but I wish some type of training was included with the software. I found it awkward in navigating through the process but again. not your fault

A good experience overall, it makes life a little easier. Always a good thing.

Pros

Overall it works well, there aren't a lot of other products like it. The calibration test point tool is well worth it.

Cons

It's pricey for what it does, but it does make things easy. If you have a lot of tools to calibrate, it helps keep track.

Expecting to save time by auto emailing departments

Pros

Plenty of useful features such as MSA Suite, Calibration Procedures, Label maker/editor, auto email notifications just to name a few.

Cons

The sample database crashes too often and loading takes too long. Implementing the software is taking longer than expected because we cannot seem to learn and train in a timely manner due to excessive issues that automatically shutdown GT.
