keeps track of all 1300 plus gages with no lag.

Pros

Easy to use once you play a bit. Jumped in and was running it with five minutes of training. Just a awesome program.

Cons

Wish you could specific search a gage. Wish you could link a different printer for the calibration system to print the labels.

No major glitches, ease of use entering user names and locations - System is very user friendly and we like this software.

Cons

Not tied to our e-mail system, but past due notice reminders would be helpful. Not sure if we have that capability.

I benefitted from reducing the need for unnecessary paperwork cutting down on time wasted when printing out reports from GageTrak.

Pros

The thing I like most about the GAGEtrak software is the ability to customize reports and tailor it to my needs.

Cons

The thing I like least is that sometimes the software can run slow when accessing parts of the program and completing entries.

Administration and total control of my instruments, gauges and master in general, a plus as the calendar of calibrations, the notices of upcoming events

It is very easy to administer, it contains a very friendly platform for any user, it is really useful for administration of Measurement Instruments, when the software is available, the support provided is very good.

Cons

In the part of MSA is not very complete or easy to use as other products such as Minitab, in this section I think there is an area of opportunity to improve the product.

gagetrak has made my job incredibly efficient. could not imagine doing my job without it.

Pros

it's easy to quantify all my gauges because gagetrak lays them out very well. simple to search for needed gauges using various parameters.

Cons

I seem to have a lot of software problems. program crashes, when there are updates to my computer I usually experience problems with gagetrak. this might be on my end and no fault of the program, but never the less, it's a problem.

Great customer service, able to resolve my issue with one call. The support staff is super knowledgeable and they are will to go the extra mile keep up the good work

Cons

The hold time can be very lengthy at certain time but it's not unbearable . There is not really much I can say about the cons as the support is great.

Pros

This is the only calibration software that I have used so I'm not sure if it is better or worse that other calibration software

Cons

Cannot put things in available for service and have the length of calibration time subtract from the calibration cycle to help elevate having to calibrate gages that have only been used once during the calibration cycle

Pros

The platform is easy to get used to. Like the "Service Request" and "Issue Gages" options. Especially like the ability to see in a form view or a datasheet view.

Cons

Do not like the reports functions and setting them up. When installing on a new computer, had to try over 5 computers before it would allow a user to run certain reports.

I have been using it for more than 5 years and despite the stored data it is not saturated. It also throws a warning when there are capture errors.

Cons

The time that we have it we could not program it so that it sends printed the labels of the software when scanning directly. nor can I know how many computers each user calibrates daily.

Benefits include: custom reports; ability to send out recall notices; tracking capabilities; SPC functionalities; crib management capabilities

Pros

I like the ability to modify my reports and to enter data in one location. User fields can be modified.

Cons

The least liked about the software is that the entries can get lost and is quite cumbersome to retrieve.

Record keeping for calibration maintenance

Pros

Cost effective solution that gives the business what it needs. You are easily able to track assets that need to be monitored for calibration.

Cons

Support is great but seems it is needed way too much during initial setup and working the bugs out. When the manufacturer includes a program with the product and says run this when you experience problem A. That is an issue. You need to resolve the problem and not give a utility that only fixes it on a temp basis.

Pros

Does the job you need, keeping dates and schedule for units is effortless. Dashboard gives you a glance of your days required workload for calibrations.

Cons

Printing from reports often hangs the program. You have to save the output, then print that pdf separately. 3 different computers all had various problems printing.

The powerful features, the thorough abilities of the database search tools for finding exact information, by being able to use wildcards

Cons

The in-ability of multiple versions seeing the same database, the constant need to "repair" the database after backing it up. the inflexability for searching all fields in certain ways.

Easy of use by far. Very easy to access reports and print them out if necessary. Being able to use the Tool Kitting is awesome.

Cons

There is so much of it you forget to use some of it. Sometimes you forget on how to maneuver in the software there is so much. Sometimes too technical.

Organized and up to date list of our 3,000 + gauges.

Pros

I love everything about Gage Trak. I learn new tricks and techniques every day! It's very easy to manage. My favorite is the calibration calender, helps as a reminder as to when my gauges are due.

Cons

So far I have not found any issues using Gage Trak. There are so many things to learn, I need more time to learn it all!

Passing calibration audits and locating and assigning gages.

Pros

I like that I can name and assign permanent and temporary locations to my gages. This aides in location gages effienciently.

Cons

I have not been trained formally to use and even though I am the primary user. Some of the tasks I do not know how to do and need technical assistance to correct. Time and personal help is needed for me to use this product to its full capability

Be able to manage a large number of gages, and not have them overdue. Also the ability to print out Calibration labels easily if they become unreadable.

Pros

The calibration reminder that come up on your screen of tool & Gages that are coming due. I also like to know who the Gage was issued to and what department. and being able to send out email reminders to the user.

Cons

The set-up at first, but once it done your golden. It took a while to add all the gages and set up the schedules. More visual instruction with pictures would be helpful.
