Cons I do get regular bugs and errors, for example when submitting a calibration, but can usually skip over them. It also will refuse to print RR study information occasionally. Love the new dashboard feature. Pros Multiple tabs can be open at once, easy to use, and has so many functions available. This program is easy to use. Cons It freezes up or slows down. Pros To organize all the gauges for calibration purpose this software is really helpful as well with better planning, we can do calibration for all the gauges on right frequency level. Cons Is not fully automized software, is sometime hard to organize in certain way. as per my opinion is still not user friendly to understand some features. Software notifies when gauges need calibration everytime the software is opened. Cons Does take some looking around to find features. Print set-up wasn't easy. It does not take a lot of memory to run so it does not freezes. Cons It's not user-friendly, and does not include all the reports needed for my business. It does not consider that there are difference nominal values within the same facility so we have to manually change every ref. std. for each gage. May 14, 2018 5.0 I am sure there were a lot of benefits. I have not worked with any other software of this type. Pros Easy to navigate through. Everything you need is right in front of you in the Navigation bar. I absolutely love that I can change what days calibration are able to fall on. I work 4-10s. I have it set up that Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are not available for calibration. Everything is due Monday to Thursday. Cons This software is amazing. I have not found a Con in the year and a half I have been using Gage Trak 7. Pros easy to use. makes tracking gages and calibration schedules simple and organized. seems to be highly customizable if you have the time to figure it out. Cons not enough characters allowed in the description box which is probably editable but i haven't looked into it that much. if i would have been asked this question awhile back i'm sure i would find more to complain about but at the moment i'm not recalling anything that frustrated me using the software, although i definitely remember having some frustrations at one time or another. Regarding the sort order of your calibration records: by default, calibration records are sorted by Calibration Date ¿ descending. To sort your records by the field of your preference, you can place your cursor in that field, and then on the toolbar under Sort, click Ascending or Descending. That new sort preference will still be active the next time you open GAGEtrak, until it is changed by you or another GAGEtrak user in your company. March 14, 2019 4.0 Pros GAGEtrak is a wonderful piece of software that is a necessity in the workplace. It allows cloud based management of a variety of gauging equipment. Everything is easy to digest and work around because of the meticulous attention to user experience that GAGEtrak has. Adding new equipment isn't painful anymore because of GAGEtrak. I highly recommend it! Cons Using GAGEtrak, I have encountered some minor bugs. Luckily, the bugs were easy to fix with a quick refresh. Pros This program is very useful in helping keep track of all gages that need calibrated or repaired. Save manual headache. Cons This software is pretty costly compared to Gagelist. Pros The data is easily managed for auditing purposes. The schedule is good and has a nice overview on the daseboard. Cons Lost all custom reports when converting from 6.8. System locks up a lot when entering data, creating duplicate calibration reports. You have to wait 10 seconds before opening the gage tab or it says it not available. 6.8 was a lot faster and never crashed. Review Source RW Russ W. QA Manager Used the software for: 2+ years ### "it does keep track of the tools and the dates and all the methods to check tools" May 14, 2018 3.0 Pros it keeps me up to date with what is due for calibration. the dashboard is very useful the quick view feature is handy to find tools either by number or by description or by serial number. once tools are listed you can make additions to the tools very easily. the label software is very useful easy to change size depending on tool size. the ability to print out various forms is a great help Cons took a while to learn all the steps the user manual is not really helpful adding tools is not the smoothest procedure the need to contact the help desk is a bit of a task as our number seems to go to voice mail after a couple of contacts and no returned calls. the software like to crash a bit and needs to be closed and reopened sometimes twice a session. Pros Comprehensive reporting capabilities, nice looking interface, more capability with additional gage and tolerance test points than older version. Cons Crashes very often compared to previous version, reports from older version are not portable to version 7 and data will not convert back to older version if you want to downgrade.
