Pros It ties together most aspects of gage control. The ways it ties everything together makes audits go very well. Cons It does not have a floating network license so every pc needs a dedicated license to operate so I needed to have a laptop to attend audit meetings. You can also create and output reports to reflect upcoming scheduling. Pros Easily can find and organize all calibration records. Makes data entry for calibration a breeze Cons Crashes quite a bit if you move too quickly or do something the software does not like. Cons The only thing I can think of is that you cant print out a group of sticker out at once for the same gage. May 18, 2018 4.0 Total tool recall, which had been an issue for our company in the past. Pros All the different items that this can be used for. I also like the dashboard and automatically list tools that are out of calibration. Our company will be able to use this for many items, not just tools for calibration but other items such as eye exams, material testing and other items. Once we figured out how to use this properly it has made our tool recall and calibration easier. I personally like the fact that this software does not miss any of the tools. I also enjoy the different levels on the security groups, with the administrators, users, calibrations and guest, this way only certain people could do certain things. This will avoid a lot of issues with only certain people aloud to do certain things in gage trak. Cons The ability to set up test point groups properly is very difficult and manual isn't very helpful. This would be a great time saver, if it were not so hard to get it done properly. The training class skipped from one area to another. my suggestion would be to go from start to finish on entering a tool and setting up the calibration and all the pages that will need filled out to have the tool completed correctly. Pros Looking back, the software has paid itself several times. The best feature is the pie chart at a glance. Like the multiple tabs available for quick reference to different gauges at the same time . Cons Auto email for Cal Due list will not work. Cons The printer waste paper when printing stickers. It always runs off the same amount of paper that you could use for another Calibration Sticker every time you print off a new one. Cons Can feel slow as in waiting for fields to populate after entering data. This is with the access database on a network. Unable to hide fields/inputs that aren't used. Pros The ease of use that allows me to customize the entries to the way I want them. It allows more freedom to set up it suit me. Cons It crashes after any window update until I get it to go back to Access2010. It also gets slower the more data that is entered until I have to manually go in and compact the database. Also we have found several reports are very useful Cons Nothing really, but we don't use it to it's full capability, there is a lot of additional function that we just don't use. May 10, 2018 2.0 Pros It can reside on our internal controlled server. The icons relate directly to the function they perform. With the right access and enough time, certain fields can be renamed and used for purposes different than originally set up. There are some good reports and Calibration Certificates that can be printed out. Cons Very time and labor intensive without a lot of short cuts built in. It seems almost Access Database type of configuration with lots of go here to get to here and then go to another place to get information. There is inundating amount of front loading required and lots of manual input to transfer information which we just don't have the personnel to commit to doing.
