Easier to follow the calibrations for all the equipment in the foundry.

Pros

We like the dashboard, it give us a quick review about what we need to do. The MSA reports are a great tool.

Cons

A little bit difficult to learn how to used it. Difficult to erase existing GAGES because they are linked in the program.

You are correct about the deletion of gage records. GAGEtrak utilizes double confirmations to prevent accidental deletion of records. When you delete a gage record (parent record), all associated child records (such as procedure links, calibration test points, issue tracking records and calibration records) are also deleted to prevent any orphaned child records. Pros

I personally enjoy the ease of access for each individual device from registering to printing out report history. The system does a great job keeping you updated on calibrations and since we have 6 different departments to monitor, Gage Trak makes life easier.

Cons

The inability to have only 1 user at a time operate the software. It's understandable thought in that you don't want to over complicate the process, which could lead to mistakes.

its fairly easy to use , it allows you to print reports on up coming calibrated items so we're on top of the dates

Cons

need more training on the rest of its features. to be able to use it to its full capacity. the person who purchased this is no longer with the company and i've tried doing online web trainings but still waiting for trainings on our version.

Pros

The dashboard brings up all equipment that is due for the month and past due, very easy to pick and go right into calibration for that unit. Also like the procedures for instrument calibration.

Cons

Not very easy to set up users, some areas are not very intuitive. Need better templates for the labels.

the feature of add MSA studies and relate with gages and calibrations. this feature make the searching of records more fast.

don't have a easy way to track the upcomming MSA studies and add the results can be better y we can assign a frequency like a calibration.

There are not enough options for Status of gages. There is an awful lot of the fields that we do not use so having it more configurable would be great.

It works well. The users are able to catalog gages without any issues as long as the database has no corruptions.

Cons

We often have trouble due to our database being an Access database. The database gets easily corrupted and it often gets slow.

Helps keep all calibrations up to date.

Pros

You can open many libraries at one time. The search feature is nice. You can use many different size labels. Over all its a good tracking system.

Cons

You cannot enter your parts through the gage link. And you get errors if you try to print your reports or stickers too quickly.

constant issues with the database when running with Office 365, every time office does an update our software crashes and we have to call support half the time to get it up and running again

Very detailed for gage calibration reporting . Can understand the terminology and auditors we have used seem to know this software well which makes the auditing process run smooth.

Pros

Software is user friendly, standard reports are usable as is, and modifying a report is a simple task.

Cons

Sometimes the screens freeze up and you need to shut down and restart the program. Could not get service tech for find root cause of problem. Start up is very slow until you are inside the program then it runs quickly.

Pros

I really like the automatic notifications of equipment due. It allows us to view monthly what is coming up do and shows up each time we open the software so we do no forget.

Cons

Can be slow at times. Seems as if there is a lag or it takes too long to open records. I also see it takes longer when it has to calculate the GR&R results after you enter the measurements.

I now have an organized gage calibration system that accurately tracks the calibration of all gages and equipment. The system stores calibration certificates and is able to print out calibration labels.

Pros

It is easy to use, update, and has the reminders for gages needing calibration. The soft ware is accepted by accredited bodies during ISO audits. It is capable of up loading certification certificates from outside calibration services. Easy to understand and navigate.

Cons

None. I cannot find any bad points of this software. The software cannot be linked to our system as it is a propritary system that allow outside programs to be attached to the secure server.

I can train multiple people and have them up and running soon. It seems to be a sought after calibration software in the industry.

Cons

6.8 if I make a mistake on the date in the calibration tab. I have to go to the "next calib" section in the schedule tab and correct it there as well.

Lots of informantion can be stored on the database. Alerting me when there is an issue/ gauge has reached its calibration limit

Cons

when gauges are expired you can still issue them to customers. Setting up the software needs to be handled by someone that has experience with it before.

GageTrak has a simple interface. It is similar to FaciliWorks. Setup is fairly easy. Many different, customizable reports.

Cons

Do not want to use MS Access as the backend any more. Want a secure (https) web frontend and a relational database backend (SQL?) that can interact online with both cloud vendor held server and an in house cloud server. We want to be able to securely access the system from anywhere at anytime.

Easy access to records.

Pros

It is easy to find and retrieve information. Reports are easy to run. The dashboard feature is nice.

Cons

We upgraded from 6.7 to 7.0 in January of last year. The new version is slower when changing pages, and the program is a little glitch at times and just freezes up.

Gagetrak software helps to calibrate and measure using some gauges. It assures quality of the product and audit will be easier. It reduces lot of mistakes and reduce the time to check the data because of the well organized data with vast storage. As well as, it help to search quickly too.

Pros

This software helps to measure and calibrate products. That will make sure the product quality and also the audit will be easier. Because, vast capability to store records and data, also it will be well organized. Once a data entered will not change until the user change it. Automatic numbering will help to save the time.

Cons

This software is very organized and few demerits too. There should be a reference or shortcuts to save some particular gauges or measure to access it fast. There is no option to extend calibration values without entering new measurements or values. Delete some from drop line is difficult. There is no option to list different categories of gauges or measurements.

Keeps all our tools information in 1 spot

Pros

I like the dashboard, our older version did not have that. I like having the picture right there of what tools need to be calibrated this month.

Cons

I don't like the number of steps it takes to print out a report. I would like to see on the dashboard a couple of changes. For example, a tool up for calibration, it would be great to be able to click on that gage shown in the list, and it would open from there. Also, the pie chart on the dashboard showing status of tools, I would like to be able to click on a piece of the pie, and it would take me to the list of tools stored in QC, or In Active etc

This software is to the point and easily edited. Multiples users can be added into the system. software gives options to select for instruments being active, inactive, etc., this function is able to be edited for different entries.

Cons

I have not found a way to have the software send a scheduled calibration list automatically by email or automatically notify us by email if an instrument is within a certain timeframe to be calibrated
