### "Powerful but complicated"

Pros

Many, many powerful features. Everything you could possibly want in software. Support is absolutely excellent -- timely, friendly, accurate. Very responsiveness to customer requests for changes.

Cons

I'm not a software engineer, but I think the downside of a responsive company that constantly modifies the software is that the software is very complicated and sometimes seems kind of kludgy (the same function is in two different places, OR the fix is in a completely different area). I also find it hard to keep up with the changes! I'm pretty sure my complaints have probably been solved in the latest release.

I find it difficult to run statistical information about our membership. The Reports feature is inneficient. Also trying to find help without calling tech support or reading through an entire manual. I wish there was a more efficient way to search the topic I need help with.

Pros

I found the software easy to navigate. I thought is was intuitive to learn and discover what I needed it to do to make our club successful. I also found the software easy to explain which is very helpful.

Cons

The most challenging part of the software is that there are a lot of menus and sometimes it can be difficult to find your task under which menu it might be located inside of.

Our experience has been good. We are so thankful for the efforts of the CE team to tailor some of the features to the needs of villages like ours.

Pros

We use this software on a daily basis to coordinate the needs of our members with the availability of our volunteers. It has been the most influential piece of technology that we have used to fulfill the mission of our organization.

Cons

Initially we were challenged to understand all the finer points of how to use the software. The manual and videos were helpful as well as telephone support. As we are now several years into implementation, the challenges are fewer as we gain experience.

Good support and responsive to the needs of the club.

Pros

It provides a relatively easy to develop and maintain a website with lots of features. The site gets better every day and the support team is great when a problem arises .

Cons

Some of the reports are in a format that is not useful for working with the data as we would use. The email system has improved but it takes a lot of strokes to get a simple email out. To add content to a page you still seem to need a DOS command, i.e. Control V or Control C. The adding templates to a message or web page is easy with a mouse but not very easy for a touch screen.

With ClubExpress, we can run a large organization in just a few hours a month.

Pros

Total integration of web site, membership services, email capabilities, forums, blogs, committees, photo albums, and events. Organizations can designate people to be administrators of one or more of these functions, or even subsets of them (like an individual blog, or photo album.) The recent addition of the "collectables" module lets organizations track items as well as people (ie: car clubs can keep track of cars.) Customer service is terrific. That's not something you can say about many service companies these days! They have better prices than competing services, and updates to the service don't cost extra.

Cons

You cannot choose the URL to use on most pages. You have to use something like yourclubname.ClubExpress.com

Pros

Club Express is very responsive to our questions and needs. They are continually improving their product based on customer feedback. They have helped us customize some specific tasks that were not available when we first started using the product, and now many of those tasks are available to all the customers. They always respond quickly when I have questions.

Cons

It has almost too many options. LOL - it is getting hard to navigate, but on the other hand I like the ability to use the additional options.

We do like the software and have had minimal issues. On the board of another bike club that has custom programming and they are constantly having issues with the program and who is going to fix it. Its nice to not worry about the platform.

Pros

Allow us to readily have information on hand for members, everyone can see who signed up for a ride / event, Track annual payments and reminders for dues, easily put in an event and send out alerts

Cons

Would be nice if we could attach a document to an event or add a photo to the event. Very little formatting when an event is created and the writing is a little small. Can't put emphasis on anything with color or font size. Its is kind of basic when you use the main template.

We have improved our data accuracy and our communications with our membership. We have been able to eliminate most manual and paper tasks. The support from ClubExpress has exceeded our expectations.

Pros

The software has been easy to set-up and maintain. We no longer need to pay a programmer to update our website. We can update our site as often as needed. It enabled us to eliminate duplicative systems and databases. We have been able to vastly improve communications with our membership.

Cons

The Event Calendar look is less than desired and would be a priority for improvement. This is unrelated to its functionality, which is fine.

A fantastic product. Lots of support with videos, webinars, online help, email and phone support. The phone support is local and response is quick.

Pros

Looks great. Has great features which meets most of our club requirements.

Cons

the need to use text editors such as notepad to create documents is an issue. I understand the need for compatibility with mobile phones, tablets, etc. but after using other word processing tools it seems cumbersome.

Reason for choosing ClubExpress

A member a very simple site using the Wildapricot product. I could not find much in the was of information about the product without contacting their sales department and that did not interest me. Reviews also added that a lot of their offering seemed to be a bit old school and their support was slipping. Clubexpress on the other hand offered lots of information readily available and I was able to take my time under a 90 day trial to make decision. I was very impressed with their entire offering which only seems to get better.

This software looks after the bulk of our communications with and for the club. It has allowed us to present and online presence for registrations, membership renewal and applications that was not available to us before. The support team for ClubExpress is outstanding. Every time I've called, or club members have called it has been a very positive experience. People are very knowledgeable about their product, courteous, and patient.

Pros

The number of features and the scope for a club like ours that has meetings, classes, and major events and seminars is what we need.

Cons

The time it takes to become comfortable in managing the content and use of the features. The time it takes for those who are not comfortable on computers to buy into its use. I need to do a lot of walking people through how to do things, even though the user manual is very clear!

My role has been fairly easy. But I do need to download various databases and run macros for merging information for customization reporting. I do realize that the current release does have an ad-hoc reporting application but we have not followed up. We have only been on the ClubExpress platform for several months so opportunities for enhancements will be down the road to eliminate some of the reporting workarounds.

Pros

Initial setup was fairly easy and we received extremely good support from ClubExpress. They dedicated a resource to assist us. General use of the website fairly easy to navigate. Updating of information easy to perform

Cons

Some custom applications surrounding communicating to general membership has some limitations Reporting has limitations Daily calendar for our use has limitations and require manual assistance from an administrator to set up

Overall, I'm very happy with ClubExpress. It's easy for me to pull the reports I need, see which memberships are about to expire, and print deposit details for my bank records.

Pros

ClubExpress is easy to use. When I started my job, the organization was already using ClubExpress to manage our memberships, class registrations, and payments. It was easy for me to jump right in and learn how to use it. The program offers menus where you can find any kind of information you need.

Cons

When I sign up a new member, the software requires me to enter a gender. I wish this were optional, because sometimes the membership is for two people or a family.

Club Express provides us a great platform to support our POA by giving us the ability to have forums, document/photos libraries, bulk email distribution. The ability for our owners to update their own profiles greatly helped the POA management in maintaining contact with everyone.

Pros

It is a feature rich platform that provides lots of functionality to help run and communicate with a Property Owners Association.

Cons

Sometimes the 'full feature set' of options is more complex than what is needed. The manual and videos are fairly good but could possibly be better, with more examples of application functionality.

For the most part, it works great. Help system and support are good.

Pros

The cost and customer support are great. Works well on a phone.

Cons

I don't like that we can't attach files to emails. Too many steps to add a file to an email. If you don't make it public, you have to log in. The email format is terrible. The "View in Browser" is on top of the page and overtakes the email. Formatting emails with pictures and text is very limited.

\* We were able to clean up our membership database dropping almost 400 non-paying members. The turn around time from sending out an SOS for help until the Support team solves our problem is truly amazing. I can't over emphasis how happy we are with the support.

Pros

\* Fantastic customer support! Most helpful team I've ever used. \* Ease of use. Each of our Event Coordinators manage their own web pages. It was easy to train using the Club Express videos and a little one on one instruction.

Cons

\* It has been difficult to find what directory is required to update or make changes. \* Manuals both Administrator and User are difficult to follow, not enough user level details.

We have been pretty pleased overall with the exception of a few difficulties and missing functionality as indicated above in "Cons". The customer support is quite good and we usually get responses to problems or questions in a matter of a few hours. The on-line training seminars are also very useful.

Pros

Our use is for a large bicycle club. The features that have been most useful for us are the automated membership capabilities and the calendar, which we use to list all club events and all organized cycling events in our state and beyond.

Cons

Some of the features are not intuitive to use and it seems some important functions are missing or very hard to find. However, the customer service team is very helpful and has made some improvements based on our suggestions.

Overall the site is great but the frustration we've had with the reporting side of things have made use of the website difficult. ClubExpress needs to provide more flexibility with their reporting options.

Pros

Easy to use, interface for web design is great. Easy to edit site.

Cons

The reporting functionality is difficult to use and needs major improvement. Custom reports are a necessity and should be incorporated. It is almost impossible for us to do our organization's financials every month due to the rigidity of the report functions.

### "The Best Out There It Seems"

I like all the features. I wish it was more intuitive. You really have a large learning curve if you really want to take advantage of all the features. But, again, it’s the best out there.

Pros

I like the many options ClubExpress has for running our association. Apparently, the internet thinks so too, and for the cost, I believe it’s correct. It has all the features needed for keeping up with our 100-125 member association, and the cost is reasonable.

Cons

I do find it very hard to get answers to my questions, although an email to support will quickly answer it. The manual, though, is hard to find answers; even what I would consider a fairly often-asked question. The large manual is more like a textbook. If you go through it page by page such as coursework you’ll learn a lot; if you search to find a specific answer you may not ever find it. And, I run a shopping cart website and usually know what I’m looking for.
