### "Convenient and secure one place shop for clubs and small organizations"

Pros

The automated membership administration is fabulous. We can send out emails and newsletters to our members with an always up-to-date member database. It had been always a hassle to make sure that mailchimp had a up-to-date member list. We use the website for event registrations and payments, and easily set up different prices for members and non-members. We had had several security issues (hacking) on our previous Wordpress site. So far zero problems with clubexpress.

Cons

It is sometimes hard to get exactly the layouts that we want for emails and website, and the editor has some issues. I usually have to get into the html itself to fix formatting issues. Many of our members don't take full advantage of the website features, and seem to have problems navigating the site to e.g. update their profile.

Reason for choosing ClubExpress

Clubexpress seemed more transparent, and the costs are very predictable based on the active members.

Pros

Great value. Excellent support. Good documentation.

Cons

Software(Particularly event creation) not intuitive for members. Too complicated. Should be able to remove fields which are irrelevant to club as setup parameter. Quick event missing critical fields, while providing unnecessary ones. Mobile web site much too basic. Need more coding areas than those available(other than header, middle, etc.) Unable to upload video. Texting feature should be accessible to all members easily. Not impressed with mobile app.

This software has made club management infinitely easier. I would recommend it to anyone with similar needs to ours.

Pros

Almost all of the functionality that our club needs is built into this software. It lets members register each year for our club and collect their club dues, lets us maintain a powerful event calendar (with automatic reminders), group and individual photo albums. And the pricing is great for a club our size (about 100 members). Customer support is stellar: Quick answers available by email or phone, if answer can't be found in extensive user manual.

Cons

The user interface changes often. While the changes offer improved functionality, the new interface is not always intuitive. But once it's understood, it makes sense.

Pros

Their customer support is terrific. They are prompt to resolve issues except on weekends

Cons

Some things are clumsy. I wish editing the home page was live on the screen. It is all dialogue boxes.

Since using ClubExpress, our website has become much more interactive and inviting to new users. Our membership has increased noticeably, partly due to the fact that our online presence is so much more up to date.

Pros

It's easy to use, easy to set up, very flexible, specifically designed to meet the needs of clubs and organizations of any kind, great support, and they listen to their customers to implement new features and functionality.

Cons

Not much. There's a few odd behaviors in the page design sections and, while they've created lots of built-in functionality, some of these pre-built modules could allow a little more customization by the customer.

Not having to build and maintain all the functions provided in the Club Express software is a huge benefit to our entirely volunteer organization. The quality of the Club Express customer / technical support is a positive experience.

Pros

We are a membership organization with chapters that organizes many events so the consolidated member data base, communication tools, calendar with its many functions and easy of use have been great assets for us. The ability to disburse funds automatically to the chapters is beneficial. Consolidating all of our web services under one vendor has made our life much easier.

Cons

The initial startup can be somewhat daunting.

The service is excellent. We always get answers to our questions within a day, and most of the time within hours.

Pros

It relieves us of managing memberships, security, and website coding.

Cons

The ad-hoc forms can be a little challenging.

There is no support. We were challenged by security, program upgrades, and coding. It costs us more annually in SSL, security, backup and other utility software to support Wordpress securely, than it is to use Club Express.

This is my first time to help set up an entire Operating System and my part is specifically Membership management. It is very helpful for keeping track of our members. I work a bit with the web pages and I think our website looks awesome!

Pros

Membership search and record keeping (payments, etc).

Cons

The System Email that sends Renewal Letters. Too many Reports to choose from! And when you create a report (chosen from a long list of options) I never remember which one I chose! It would be nice if the report name came along with the report/spreadsheet.

The LWV-Boulder County was already using CE and liked it very much. They were helpful in allowing us to have a look before we bought.

We don't tend to call them till we're grindingly frustrated, and the answer may well be "oh, we don't provide that," but overall they give us excellent value and provide crucial functions for our organization. On a bad day I'd give them a "B+". Most days they have a solid "A".

Pros

The ease of use, coupled with good tutorials and great support, makes this a fantastic way for someone inventive to create their own site. What's more, the things an organization needs to do (keep track of people, money, events, register folks for activities, etc.) that would cost loads to build from the ground up are already available. It is a whopping good value.

Cons

Unsearchability! Our directory has a search function, thank heavens, but we are forever wishing we could search other stuff stored on our site or even the site itself. The editing functions can be a bit clunky or tetchy, but really do provide excellent options.

This software is managing our loyalty rewards program efficiently, previously, this all needed to be done manually. That alone makes it worth the money and effort to get started. The detailed information allowed on events - and the automatic management of payments and returns has smoothed this process as well.

Pros

I like the ease of us - although I am still learning to be efficient in using all the capabilities offered in this product. The scope of the package is awesome, providing us with options we have not previously had access to. It has freed up my time and made several of my processes easier.

Cons

Events are a bit complicated to set up. We expect our trip leaders to post their own events - and a 19 page manual is overwhelming. We are creating our own trip coordinator guide - similar to the online version but not to many pages.

I most like the cost of using this software. It is very reasonable for our organization.

Cons

It can sometimes be clunky and is not true WYSIWYG. It sometimes requires technical skills that the average person does not possess.

Pros

Club Express has allowed our Village to automate our membership records, our member renewals and donations, and the service requests that our volunteers provide for our members. It saves me time as the coordinator of these services and allows me more time to interact with our members and volunteers.

Cons

The functions are not always intuitive or easy to figure out. But the customer service has been very good for the most part and the reps assigned to our organization are very knowledgeable.

ClubExpress has been very helpful and professional all through the selection and implementation process. They give you a few months to evaluate the software which was very useful for the decision process. Their fees are very reasonable.

Pros

We are a small non-profit walking club that had a very marginal website. Club Express has brought us into the 21st century by allowing us to use it's tools to create a highly functional website. It saves us a lot of administrative time and is scalable so the cost is not prohibitive for a small organization. It makes our organization look professional which has helped us obtain new members.

Cons

Reports could be a little more robust. For instance, there are lots of membership reports, but most don't give a member count at the end, which would be helpful.

I've been using ClubExpress as one of the admins for a photo club of up to 65 members for over 10 years. Over the years, other admins have come and gone, and they all appreciate how easy to use Club Express is. There are many, many more features than we need (such as features for managing paid registrations), yet they don't get in the way of what we do need. It's a nice package, provided with reasonable value.

Pros

Lots of features, frequent updates, and reliable.

Cons

It is sometimes hard to remember where a feature is buried. The interface is a teensy bit dated. It would be great if it could be more like the Gutenberg UI of Wordpress. The photo gallery feature is a bit glitchy... If I upload a gallery, I have to manually edit it(in Code view) to make the image display random. Then, if I replace that gallery with the replace feature, it does not maintain the random setting and I have to manually edit the code again!

All who use the platform seem to like, some people are unaware of the amount of things it is possible to do, but for our purpose it is perfect.

Pros

Members can self administer, we can run various reports and keep an instant check on any details.

Cons

Sometimes it has a lot of options and finding things can take a while if we haven't used that particular section in a while. Sometimes the international aspect is tricky, we are based in Australia and some things are the American format.

Cons

Templates are not sufficient for most Greek Organizations, the interactive, quality of the templates, all basically have the same color scheme dominated by (BLUE), very few pastel colors, and layouts of the templates.

Our whitewater rafting club is very happy with ClubExpress. We use it to attract new members, process process new members and renewals, send out info to the members and potential members, and store documents. Several years ago, my ski patrol was looking for a new website platform and I recommended ClubExpress to them and then helped set it up. The ski patrol is also quite happy using ClubExpress.

Pros

Whenever I need help with the website, I can either call or send an email. If I call, a real person answers the phone and walks me through my problem. If I send an email, I'll get an answer the next day. For someone who's not super tech-savy and only the club's webmaster because no one else wanted to do this, I really appreciate the friendly, helpful support.

Cons

The emailing function is a little awkward.

### "Better than Most"

Generally good. We don't see a better option yet.

Pros

It has many features and options - designed for a wide variety of customers. Price is reasonable. Large data capacity.

Cons

Generic design. Clunky in some respects. For example, the automatic generated emails have several lines of cluttered language at the beginning. Software requires some study to take advantage of its options - not particularly user friendly. The data base is split between standard data ( generic to all customers), and user specific data; this makes its difficult to integrate and search and display without professional help. Despite several attempts with customer service - we have been unable to resolve this in the way we desire. The current voting option does not permit (ClubExpress policy) user access to a list of those that voted or didn't vote.

Overall, the website provides us with exposure to the public that is needed at a reasonable price. Club Express is very good with support when needed.

Pros

What I liked most about the software was how easy it was to set up the site for our club. I also like how the support staff is very willing to help provide solutions to problems which were mostly due to my lack of skills.

Cons

What I like least about the software is the set up for Events. The options do not always fit the criteria for our events. Also, it is somewhat confusing for club members to use when registering more than one event participant.

It was a great decision to move to ClubExpress. Despite some of the shortcomings of the software, it has helped our professional organization to be more efficient and effective.

Pros

I use this software to manage a professional association of about 600 members. The best features are the various sorts of automation for our annual member drive and renewal. CE will send email notices with customized messages and/or snail mail to expired or potential members. They are then able to log in, select a membership level, and pay their dues without any effort on my part. It automated what used to be a two-week process.

Cons

Once you log in and get behind the facade of the website, the interaction itself is fairly clunky. The graphic interface looks like it's from AOL in the 1990s, and the functionality is not always intuitive.

ClubExpress found our completely volunteer organization years ago. We wanted a software program that put all of our information in one location. We ran 241 events in 2018. We have an active conversation forum built for years of growth. We have many diverse subgroups for different interests. When an issue comes up, customer service is immediate and quickly resolved the issue.
