ClubExpress has been a great asset to our club, enabling members to easily enroll in events (which is it's greatest use for us.) Customer service is exceptional, providing quick and accurate responses. We highly recommend this platform for users similar to us.

Pros

Features; customer support; customization; fairly user-friendly for members.

Cons

Editing features do not always function as they should. Photo management is somewhat basic. Custom pages development is challenging for non-tech users.

Very good at tracking membership data and trends.

Pros

The info being immediately available across the platform is very helpful.

Cons

Some of the data entry is very clunky, recording cash payments, having to use PayPal for credit card purchases, etc.

Pros

Before, we used multiple systems and platforms (mostly free) but it took a lot of time for the board, all volunteers, to manage and operate the club. ClubExpress' integrated platform for membership, events, and communication has made all aspects of our club mgmt easier/less time consuming.

Cons

The user interface could be improved in many aspects. While the functionality is rich, sometimes difficult to figure out how and and not intuitive in some aspects.

Price was reasonable for functionality, so decided we didn't need to research other products.

Pros

It provides all our needs for our pickleball club.

I like everything about this software. There is nothing I don't like.

### "Run My Village works for us! "

We have been able to adapt to the software and we receive good service.

Pros

The customer service responsiveness. Always available and very helpful in solving issues. Receptive to making improvements as requested by the Villages across the country. Willing to tailor to organizational needs.

Cons

Often clunky and not intuitive. There is a large learning curve for features.

Our group searched for years for a one-stop solution for our particular needs. The customization options available through ClubExpress meets all of our needs. Once we set up the site, it is fairly easy to maintain, and add new modules as needed.

Pros

We love the website format that allows for internal communication (essential), online payments, and an external face to potential members and clients.

Cons

Setting up the website took time and effort. I am a capable user, but some of the functionality is not intuitive. I was VERY happy with the online tech support available as I navigated setting up the site. The PDF manual is difficult to navigate, although it is very thorough.

ClubExpress is an excellent value, and had all of the features we were looking for.

Pros

Easy to understand. Ease of use between menus. Website screen edits are helpful. Emailing is a big plus!

Cons

Very often software glitches did not serve our members and service providers when system was down. Need to improve on running various reports. Some reports had software problems that required me to reformat CSV/Excel data prior printing. Certain reports should be consolidated vs. running two separate reports to reconcile data.

Very satisfied.

Pros

I use Club express for several car clubs. The software helps us manage the members ,club events and finances for the club. Never found a product that was this equivalent. I like its interface, and ability to quickly get the job done.

Cons

Needs interface to online calendars/phone calendars and/or ability to sync with them. Would allow club members to be kept up to date on events, meetings, etc....

We use ClubExpress to manage most of the business of our volunteer sailing club. We use it to manage memberships and renewals, as well as event registrations and tuition collection for sailing classes. We've been using the software for several years, and overall we're satisfied with the way ClubExpress works for our organization.

Pros

Very responsive customer service. Great features for membership, forums, event planning and registration

Cons

Equipment reservation and check out features not adequate for our needs.

I quit making suggestions after support said we are not doing everything I suggested. Event signup previously was a nightmare; you "improved it", but it was just a different nightmare. End of month accounting requires printing multiple reports and spread sheets; it would be simple to have one report that shows Membership Dues, Event Signups, processing Fees, and monthly membership charge. No, we are not going to QuickBooks, which is a big headache. How about an option that sends funds and expenses once a month instead of 3 times/month? You are totally inflexible.

Pros

It handles most of our membership renewal and dues.

Cons

User interface is extremely unfriendly. Participants signed up for Events can't change or cancel their registration. Terminology is very important; a Member, primary, secondary or whatever is not a guest. You use these interchangeably in the Event signup.

We run the administrative functions (membership, scheduling, payment, documentation, etc.) of a very active 100 member kayaking club. Our website is the core or our activity. The standard package successfully eanbles all of our club's administration. On occasion we have paid for Club Express to create custom reports or functionality for us.

Pros

Wide variety of capabilities, customizable to our club's needs

Cons

Not entirely user-friendly, has a fair-size learning curve. Can be difficult for infrequent users.

Pros

The flexibility allowing customization specific to our non-profit Club's needs. I also am very happy with the wide range of reporting available.

I have not had any issues with the software. It is very user friendly and well documented. The support staff is exceptional and very responsive.l

The team helped us convert our old PHP site easily and set up some fancy scrolling graphics on our site. The old webmaster would have had a difficult time accomplishing this. The membership reports are fantastic. Communications tasks are a breeze. Membership tracking is quick and simple. Users can manage themselves without issue. The support team is agile and responds quickly. Quarterly updates bring improved functionality.

Pros

This package allowed us to streamline the operation of our small club for a reasonabe cost and eliminated the need for spreadsheets and an HTML guru. I have empowered even the least technical people to manage our club's web presence.

Cons

It would be nice to have a builtin 'financial tracking package' for small groups. I can see that there is Quickboooks integration for larger clubs who can afford that software. Our club cannot.

We have had a good experience with ClubExpress and have found the online webinars to be a particular benefit for our webmaster and other members who have some administrative capabilities too.

Pros

I am a member of a photo club which uses this software for our website. We like the clean look it provides for our pictures, the ability we have to change and modify the layout to suit our needs and the support we receive from club express when a tech issue arises (which doesn't happen too often!).

Cons

We do wish we had the capability of interaction between members on the website- that is when a member posts a picture we'd like the ability to leave a comment on that picture. Technically this is a minor issue as we have a social media site which can handle that, but it would be nice to have that on our own webpage.

We have generally loved the platform and had tried a different platform, but ClubExpress has been a significant improvement for our membership management. We love the support as well, the answers we need are almost always a 5-minute call away.

Pros

We love the ease of set-up of website and various activities. We also like the solid web-base for members. It is easy to navigate and easy to instruct others on how to use. It also has allowed us to get rid of a lot to other software and apps including dropbox, mailchimp, and various webpage apps.

Cons

The ability to do targeted print documents in the program including mail merges easily.

I love that I can do everything from this one website! Not only do I have a great website, but I can plan and operate events, as well as every day member functions as well (dues, etc.)

Pros

Great value for the price! I have not seen any other software offering the same features for a better price.

Cons

Only because this is a required field - I have asked for a slight function to change the registration type on an event for several years now with no success.

It's okay as an administrator but not for our members and volunteers.

Pros

The function to match volunteers with members of our organization.

Cons

It is not user friendly. We are always having troubles with members and volunteers logging in or not being able to figure things out. It takes 3 buttons to register for an event! We don't like their reports or the non-member data base.

Pros

I like that we can do a variety of things on it - create events, have people register and pay, have a calendar, send emails, have forums, etc.

Cons

I find that it is not user friendly. I have to click many times to get to the places I want to go or to do something. Sometimes there is something logical I want to do and the software does not let me do it. Can be frustrating to use until you really get to know it.

CE has been instrumental in helping us grow and manage our club with its plethora of tools from website, to document library, e-commerce and reporting. Truly a turnkey product.

Pros

Extensive capability including bundled e-commerce and strong reporting

Cons

I wish it had better design tools and customization of the front end was easier (more like SquareSpace with a true WYSIWYG editor)

Overall it is positive. I feel they stand behind their desire to provide a software responsive to the needs of Villages.

Pros

I like that they have a Village users group. Also the support staff is very responsive and knowledgable. We never really have to wait long for help or an answer.

Cons

The website is a little cumbersome to design and keep current. We have very few volunteers willing to get involved on that end because of that.

Cons

No way to search for something specific in the online user manual. However, an email to support gets a quick response.

It is an established software with a larger team working on updates, enhancements and support. CE has expanded their offerings specific to the Village movement with a "Run My Village" component, including manuals supporting specific for village service providers and requests.
