April 19, 2022 5.0 From start to finish, it was a great process. We are very happy with the final product. Pros There are so many things that made the transition to TalentComp the best solution for our Salary Admin process, one of the top reasons is the ability to have managers route their recommendations through the hierarchy and have an audit trail. In our legacy process, we had an excel spreadsheet for each department, we have 32 departments and had to route and track changes for 32 spreadsheets! It was madness! The software's reporting capabilities was not complex and they were able to provide a template report to look exactly like our Excel version of the process. Integration was great and very easy. Our tech was responsive and knowledgeable and if he did not have the answer he would find out and respond timely. The whole process took about 8 weeks. I will say that once we rolled out the new process to our managers, I felt like I had so much extra time during a very busy chaotic time of year. We are very happy with the finished product and our managers enjoyed using the system as well! Cons Honestly, there was nothing that we did not like about the software! Review Source MP Mathew P. I am a person who likes to make a product work and look uniquely. Brainier give me the flexibility to accomplish that. I expected constant growing pains and problems and lackluster customer service. ClearCompany proved me wrong and has consistently delivered quality product support and customer service for the two tears that I have been using the product. Pros It is super user friendly! Although it is a quality product with great functions, you don't have to be a techie to catch on to how everything works. You are never alone as far as product support. This company is constantly inquiring about how to make the product better. That is how they stay on top with this product. Other HRM software management companies over promise and under deliver... Not Clear Company. They are constantly right there to answer questions quickly and resolve concerns at amazing speed. Cons The few things that I could point out are honestly more of a preference than a problem. It would be nice to have a few other ways to search for applicants, i.e. by phone number or email address, but again, that is only a preference. Everything this software says it will do, it does . December 22, 2017 5.0 At this moment, I don't have many cons...sometimes the cons are that I want something that isn't out there...as long as they are looking into what I want, that's all I can hope for. I have made choices that turned out to be not so great after a while...using the Brainier LMS is NOT one of those. I am still happy with it, still excited about it, and look forward to it's growth that brings our Company to a better place. Pros You can't speak of the LMS without talking about it's ease of use. It's the number one thing for users! It has to be easy enough for people to use so you don't spend all of your time walking people through managing their learning all of the time. The second thing...reporting! I get 95% of what I need out of the static reports and it provides me with numbers hat we couldn't get before. Yes, other LMS platforms may offer the same thing but these seem so easy...ties into the ease of use. Third, the implementation team, the help desk, and the sales team...these people are real people and do their absolute best to help in any way that you ask. They are never insulting when the problem is actually me. I trust them wholeheartedly to help me understand and work through what I need to. Having the freedom to personalize the experience is great. All my wants or concerns are considered and I have a platform for them to be reviewed... I enjoy the product and the people and look forward to a continued partnership and the evolution of the system which improves all of the time! And that Groupings tab is awesome...saved us a rewrite of our group structure! That's a big deal! Cons Cons...there are some improvements that could be made. I personally have a hard time with the custom reports, could be just me but I think there could be some improvement there. There are some little things like being able to delete things?! I fully understand why they don't have that feature but how about a "hide" or something, just to make it cleaner...we do make mistakes. I wish the lists would keep the filters on, like if I am looking at 100 users or objects per page, I keep having to select that...just keep the 100 or maybe just keep whatever my last choice was, idk. Truly for me the customer service is what wins me over. The product is great don't get me wrong but without the help of an actual person these a wonderful product can fall flat on it's face. I have never had a frustration with a dropped call or an email that was not returned promptly. I would recommend ClearCompany without reservations. Pros The integration of ClearCompany into our process was truly extraordinary. From the first meeting until today I have a close relationship with the person that helped to set it up. He is prompt in his reply and very thorough providing a detailed explanation as well as screenshots and directions. I really appreciate him! Once trained, the software itself is intuitive and easy to understand. Cons There are some tweaks that I think could be improved upon. I typically ask my Customer Success Manager if something is available and if not, he tries to recommend another option. Example, we are looking to add a training tracking option and he referred us to another company that integrates with ClearCompany. Regardless, the pros outweigh the cons at this point and they are always open to exploring options which I appreciate. Pros The HR on-boarding process is straightforward and reliable. Tracking candidates is easy and requisitions are easy to deploy. Customer service is expensive but very responsive and very helpful. They have been a superb business partner. Their LMS product works for our needs and also provides a number of features that fall outside of our scope. Their interest in listening to their clients is apparent. Our input seems to matter. We will continue to work with Brainier to achieve our training needs. Pros This LMS has many features that make it easy for users and administrators to use the system to produce the best results. The Student portal of the LMS is fantastic. It is very intuitive and consistent with other web platforms. Cons As with many LMS(s), the administration portal could be designed to be a little simpler to use. It seems like there are sometimes too many steps to accomplish a simple task. Some of the features feel complicated where they could designed in a more streamlined and logical manner. I have used many ATS' and I do feel this one is very easy to follow, not complicated for candidate profiles or job posts. Pros The candidate tracking. The Requisition page. Adding job posts is easy to follow and allows tracking of time to fill. The Workflow helps organize applicants easily. Cons Applicants that apply on Indeed, the resumes to flow over to Clear Company. This causes almost double work on transferring resumes over to CC manually. Under the Recruiter page, to search for candidates, it needs to have phone, email search option - ON THIS Page, not to have to go to another page. Review Source NH Natasha H. I like that we can assign hiring managers to their positions and empower them to review their resumes and make calls, this way they know what their program needs and being a non profit we have particular grants that have certain needs and the hiring managers know more about this. Our account rep is always available to assess our needs and provide us with any information/help as needed. Pros ClearCompany is very customizable, the fillable PDF feature in the Onboarding module is very intuitive, and the customer support is amazing. I can always rely on my account executive to be available and answer any questions I may have. During implementation or upgrades, our account representative is always providing us with updates and keeping us involved in every step of the process. Cons There are not too many cons that I can say about ClearCompany. The only suggestion I would make is that the Onboarding solution would be more customizable in how the steps are laid out in the candidate experience/view. Other than that, ClearCompany is very user friendly and customizable. When needed we pulled in the president to get things resolved in time for our implementation. Running our salary planning for the first time this year went surprisingly smoothly, thanks to the partnership in implementation. Pros We looked at several systems to meet our global compensation planning needs and we felt TalentComp was the best fit. Not only does it accommodate salary planning in 12 countries, it is intuitive and allows managers to export their information to do their modeling offline and import it back into TalentComp, something they could not do with our prior system. Also, they can pull the comp statements at any time. Cons We had a lot of back and forth during set up with many things that should have been addressed up front. We also had to rework the comp statement several times with the implementation team to get it into the format we wanted because we could not modify it ourselves. By using TalentComp, we were able to push decisions around salary and bonus out to managers who could then make recommendations directly. Although a brief Q&A tutorial was given to introduce TalentComp, the system itself was intuitive and easy to use. Pros We implemented both a performance management system (Noteworthy) and a compensation management system (TalentComp) so we could move from paper documents to an online system. The tools were very customizable so that the logic and flow from our old systems were incorporated into the new ones, giving us a high adoption rate and positive user feedback. Cons As our organization grows, we will want to do more compensation modeling. At this time, I believe modeling and scenario planning is still being optimized within TalentComp. The implementation team have been so very helpful in getting us up and running very quickly. We have weekly calls to make sure things are moving along the way they should, and I feel like I always have support if I need any help. The whole applicant tracking module is very customizable, so all of our needs were able to be met without a problem. Overall, so far I feel like it's worth the extra money we're paying (compared to our old system) to have such time savings and ease of use. Pros We purchased all three modules, but so far have only fully implemented one of them (applicant tracking). We are currently beginning implementation of the onboarding module, and the performance management module will be last. So far, we really like the applicant tracking module. Hiring managers have told me they find it easy to use, very intuitive and easy to figure out. I especially like the interview invitation piece, because it integrates with my Outlook calendar and the entire process is automated. No longer do I have to spend hours on the phone trying to schedule candidates for interviews... this system practically does it for me. I also really like the Scorecard feature, where I can route Scorecards with each application to the entire hiring team and have them review and score each candidate on their own. I can then review all of their notes and it helps me narrow down my search very quickly. So far I'm really enjoying the time savings that Clear Company has given me. Cons So far, there's really nothing I don't like about it. Again, we've only fully implemented one module, and have only been using it for a couple of weeks. But so far I really like everything about it. If I had to identify one con, it would be that there is an additional cost to add more than three customized forms in the onboarding module. February 27, 2018 5.0 I have used other applicant tracking software solutions before but they were often cumbersome to use or never had quite the right functionality that I wanted. I love ClearCompany so much because it truly has everything I need in an easy to use system. AND just when I think it couldn't be better they come up with new enhancements! I have, and will continue to recommend ClearCompany ATS to anyone who has recruiting responsibilities, especially if they are a government contractor! Pros Very intuitive and user friendly to use. Various ways to access information and sort information to see what you need. The Clear Company team is extremely responsive to providing help but also listening to suggestions for future improvements. Their support is top notch - from online training videos, to online chat and a customer success manager who not only cares but follows up (and not like other companies who will reach out when they want to sell me a new feature). I also attended their 2017 Talent Conference in Boston, which was really a great learning opportunity as well as to connect with my Cons I would not say there are any cons, but we live in a time where instant gratification has become the norm and expectation. There have been times when I have waited 30 - 60 min for a response to my online chat request. There are new reports I would like to have, but I know their reporting function just went under an overhaul and I am working on moving to the new platform soon, so I am excited to see what the new reporting capabilities are. The only other improvement I could suggest right now is to make this highly capable software to be better suited for a global company. We have business in India and ClearCompany has helped us to utilize their system for our recruiter in India, but there is still opportunity to improve the system for a company doing business overseas. I used Clear Company at the first, tried to implement at the second and I brought it with me and implemented at the third. Pros The functionality of the software and the ease to tailor to our needs is amazing. If you want the software to do something, and it's not, it usually user error. If you want a feature, chances are it's in there!! The chat feature and online tools are spot on and the account managers are attentive and supportive. Cons I don't ways want to go to reports. I would like export options on individual screens. It's not a deal breaker at all. I am just spoiled by all the other features so now I want one click satisfation on this too. Reason for choosing ClearCo I didn't even look for an alternative. I have always been satisified with Clear so why change. We did not have an ATS so Clear Company was the place to start. We have existing API connections with BambooHR and UKG and have simple automated sftp setups for any other HRIS. We also have a great deal of customization available, but promotions are a standard feature in TalentComp so we can assist with setting that up for you right away. As far as scalability, our average customer size is 2,500 employees, and our largest current customer has over 18,000 employees. Director Human Resources Pharmaceuticals Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Year end Compensation process has been smooth with Talent Comp" March 17, 2021 5.0 Pros We had a short time line to set up the system (made purchase decision in early October and ran merit/bonus/equity process in early December). Team was great to work with and VERY responsive to all our calls, questions and needs. There were bumps, yes, but that was to be expected. We did a deep dive into the issues right after we closed the process and were able to address all the issues in the next year's cycle. I would recommend for any company based on my experience. Cons The one thing that users have not liked is that the scrolling ability is slow. Executives don't like it for roll up purposes so we as an HR team have had to export to spreadsheets and track the changes made by executives and update the system. Still so much better than when we were functioning in spreadsheets only with 60+ managers and having to consolidate, etc. Reason for choosing ClearCo We looked at several other options (don't recall what they were now) and TalentComp was more flexible in it's system and the team was much more approachable and could show us how it would look for us with 3 components to manage (merit, bonus and stock options). We do not have performance ratings so we do not use that feature and we turn it off and on each year for our comp planning cycle in early December. Very happy we made this change. TalentComp has completely automated our annual Merit Increase process and is used by all Managers and Supervisors. Pros We use paPlus to administer all Review Forms and TalentComp to apply all Merit Increases each year. After initial startup and with annual enhancements, this product now serves us very well in both of those areas. Cons Integration with existing business processes was not difficult.
