We greatly value Waystar’s expertise and support and truly appreciate the reliability and responsiveness they have demonstrated throughout our partnership. We were affected by the cyber-attack on Change Healthcare, which served as our clearinghouse for dental claims and vendor for patient statements. Waystar quickly helped us resume operations, restoring our patient statements first and subsequently getting our dental claims live again. We look forward to continued collaboration and further success together.

Pros

We have found Waystar to be a highly efficient and trusted partner, offering advanced products and solutions (using AI and automation) that consistently exceed our electronic insurance claims and patient statement needs, resulting in faster payments and fewer errors for our electronic billing and patient statement operations. Our Waystar account management team is always highly responsive and collaborative, making our experience both efficient and enjoyable.

Cons

The customer support can be better for both claims and enrollment as, sometimes it takes weeks before we get a response.

Waystar is user-friendly, integrates with EHR/EMR systems without issue, provides detailed reporting, uses AI and automation to reduce claim denials and rejections with a support team from top to bottom ready to assist in every possible. Any medical provider or billing company will not be disappointed..

Pros

Waystar is highly secure with the two-factor authentication, has responsible, mature customer support on all levels providing regular updates, very user friendly for all technology levels even if someone is used to the "old school" way of billing. Waystar always responds quickly and efficiently with anything we bring to the table; collaborating both internally and with us without hesitation. Waystar is a wonderful partner to us; I simply can't fathom using any other clearinghouse nor doing any kind of medical billing without them by our side. Waystar provides extreme value for our dollars and offers a wide variety of products and applications to meet any type of medical billing need.

Cons

Honestly, I'm hard pressed for any "cons". If any, the smaller "mom and pop" biller may find the pricing higher than others and perhaps the variety of applications and tools to be "overwhelming" to them. That being said, they should give view a "demo" and not be afraid as I believe they'll find they'll save manual efforts and costs in the long run...

10/10! We have had a great experience since day one of implementation. We value our relationship with Waystar and hope to continue it for a long time.

Pros

Customer support and collaboration are amazing. They listen to their customers and understand our needs when building new features or enhancements. It really is a customer in mind culture on all levels.

Cons

Least, but definitely not a dislike is the patient pay platform support. The feature is still great but the service and support team doesn't seem to be as knowledgeably and have the flexibility that the claims side has.

I have been with Waystar for more than 8 months and I have seen nothing but misleading information and passing support requests from one person to another and as the result I have not been able to get my ERA for more than 3000 claims. I made a terrible mistake switching my Trizetto clearinghouse to Waystar. Be careful joining them. No body cares about your questions or problems.

Pros

none, I have nothing good to say about the company, the only thing they are good at is to try selling you new services.

Cons

customer service, by far is one of the worst customer services I have dealt before. They are very rude, unprofessional and impatient with your problems.

Overall experience has been good. They are the first Clearinghouse I have ever used but all in all, between their reports, automations, reports, and affordability, I can't imagine switching.

Pros

It does an excellent job with automations to determine front line rejections and access to eligibility and remits is very user friendly

Cons

Support cases are often hard to solve with several steps involved and sometimes cases being closed before full resolution

Pros

Waystar is the best clearinghouse! I have been using them for 15 years and couldn't be happier. They have great customer support. They identify in the claim when there is a rejection what the issue is. You can pull copies of submitted claims. Pull EOBs. I like that you can have users assigned to individual clinics and not all clinics in the waystar account - great for a billing company!

Cons

The biggest issue I have is that they archive claims and remits after 2 years. With the world of audits and takebacks it would be nice to be able to get older items.

Overall, we have been less than completely impressed with Waystar. Although it's easier than our previous software, it gets very cumbersome when looking for a particular claim and its actual outcome. You can pull up a claim number, and it shows it went to the payer, but it never got there per the payer, resulting in timely filing denials. So now, we just can't rely on what's on the Waystar portal.

Pros

Waystar is much easier to use than our previous clearinghouse. We receive timely notifications via email when enrollments are due, which makes keeping up with all of the insurance companies easier.

Cons

Waystar falls short in terms of customer service support. It just seems like the customer service representatives just want to close the case, not actually fix the problem. It's infuriating when they just decide to close a case without even checking to see if the problem has been resolved.

Pros

Very user friendly for submitting electronic medical claims. Easy to make claim edits and claim resubmissions

Cons

My only complaint is that we couldn’t submit claim attachments like notes or eobs but I’m not sure if any software can do this

I love Waystar. We have the option to use another software, but I still prefer to use Waystar.

Pros

I love the ease of use and how quickly I receive results. It shows us when names are wrong, or when an insurance number has been entered incorrectly.

Cons

There are times when the system doesn't work but that rarely happens.
