Like the ability to use as app on iphone. Cons Some links are not intuitive. Sometimes adding new tenant can be a bit tricky - app is great to have but more detailed steps can get difficult. First of all, I like the fact that you can be working from anywhere in the world since it is an online site. I had some difficulties at the beginning when I set it up because I had to learn on my own but with their support I finally was able to master the system. It took me about 3 months of trial and errors. Landlords and Tenants like it, they are able to see their statements at any time , copies of bills , make requests online. After seriously looking at about 3 programs, we decided Buildium was the best choice. Buildium is a key part of our business. Without it we couldn't possibly deal with the level of business we do and stay organized. The system saves us a lot of time, allowing us to service our current clients and actively marketing for new business instead of wasting time on administrative/organizational tasks all the time. Pros Easy to use! Owners and tenant portals are easier to understand and use. Our residents love that they can pay their rent online; our vendors appreciate the professional-looking work orders with all of the information. My maintenance team loves that they can pull up their task items on their smart phones while they are doing maintenance work. It has almost eliminated the need for paper. Cons There's nothing that I don't like. I just have one suggestion I would like to see to make it even easier, but Buildium is always improving their site. And, through their partner services, I can order credit checks and other services, making Buildium my go to site every morning. Pros The system is all-inclusive. " February 16, 2017 3.0 We have just a few properties that we manage, and this software has helped us get our properties in order and to keep track of where things are at. I feel the financial part is not as straightforward and requires some navigating when it comes to expenses and property management fees. For what we use it for and where our business is at, the increased cost of the program may not make sense for us to keep long term. Pros The ability to do the tenant screening that provides the credit checks and criminal/eviction reports. The reports are a great feature and extremely helpful in the application process. Then when we need help there customer service is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Cons The mobile app needs some fine tuning yet. The function to go to the full site has been removed. Definitely easier as you get used to the features, but I feel like the layout could be a little easier to follow. Some of the functions such as printing checks takes a few more steps than usually needed with an accounting program. Pros It is easy to setup your properties, and fill out the important information needed. I like the reminders that get emailed and notifications. Cons There is not enough storage space to upload more than one document page at a time when attaching it to bills. When printing checks there are several extra steps to take like creating reports instead of just selecting the bills you want to pay and printing them. Review Source CN Craig N. Pros Buildium has not only met my needs but has anticipated needs I didn't as yet think about. And, each time I sign-on through my portal I find more "news" of an added feature or suggestion or new material. Bravo Buildium! Cons It is difficult to find a con and I am being honest. For my needs, I built an external website which I'm finding it a challenge to bring my site and Buildiums public (allSolutions LLC) site together. I need a greater deal of flexibility. It has been a long time since I took accounting the making sure the debit and credits match is the hardest part.
