### "Great for Smaller Companies"

July 1, 2025

5.0

Overall, I think is a reasonable and accessible product for smaller theatres and organizations. We have gotten creative with our use (selling tickets for bus trips as merch through ThunderTix, etc.) and that has streamlined quite a few of our antiquated systems. There are some features that make me think this might not be a great product for huge companies, but for our purposes, it really is quite perfect.

Pros

It really is a very intuitive program. I don't find myself wasting too much time trying to figure out features or struggling with customer service. The learning curve as a new system was very reasonable.

Cons

The packages and season tickets can be a bit confusing, but it's a slight adjustment - more of a learning curve for our patrons. I don't love some of the fee structures outside of ticket purchases (percentages of donations, etc.) but the structure for tickets is good enough to be worth it.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

Cost and ease of use - also, it seemed like the best fit for our organization size.

They wouldn't allow users to do much of anything on their own - I had to wait for customer service to set up events for me.

### "Thankful the customer service at ThunderTix"

December 3, 2025

5.0

Overall we have enjoyed using . It is easy to use, offering a lot of options and is relatively intuitive.

Pros

is great to work with for our 415 seat community theater! Their online knowledge base is very helpful and their customer service responds very quickly with helpful answers and solutions.

Cons

There is a learning curve in creating coupon codes. The $1.25 fee per ticket, plus monthly rate does cut into profits, but comparable to other ticketing services.

### "ThunderTix = highly recommended"

April 3, 2026

5.0

Pros

Super intuitive, flexible, and has performed well for us the past two years. A superb built in way for us to have a big (truly) increase in donations accompanying ticket purchases.

Cons

I'm sure there is something, but I can't think of any at the moment. I don't even remember specifically what we found so unsatisfying with EventBrite, but I do know that we are now (with ) in a very rare situation - we really like our ticketing software.

### "Loudoun Lyric Opera Review of ThunderTix"

September 13, 2025

5.0

Very, very positive! I'd recommend this to any <$100K budget theater or opera company that is trying to expand its ability to offer things like season tickets and etc to patrons.

Pros

Easy to use, great support staff. It's a very versatile piece of software that lets us do the bulk of our tasks on a small budget. I'm hoping this is a ticketing software that will let us scale well into the future, as our events become bigger and bigger!

Cons

The front-end is maybe not the prettiest piece of a website, and it's a little bit difficult to integrate into our brand. But, super easy to set up! Also, would love to be able more clarity to ticket buyers on managing their own accounts with us.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

Cheaper, and no contract, unlike OTS. Ludus is nice, but is much more powerful, and looks a lot more professional. (Ludus gives a community theater vibe, which is great for schools and community theaters, but not great for expansion/growth plans.)

### "Thundertix is Awesome"

January 8, 2025

5.0

I started at our organization as the Marketing Director; we had no website and were selling paper tickets. I had a great experience with at a theater in Endicott, New York 16-18 years ago, so when I saw the need here, Thundertix was the best fit. I would highly recommend Thundertix for any size organization; so flexible and easy to use, and tech support is great. Thundertix is the best!

Pros

seems to anticipate what producers need before we know we need it. Shortcuts and streamlined operations make it so easy to sell, manage and report ticket transactions. Questions are answered quickly by Support, and requests for options are always taken into consideration - often already available.

Cons

I can't think of anything at all. is pretty great.

We're indebted to all of you for helping us make ThunderTix the best platform for events. I'd like extend a personal thank you for rejoining ThunderTix after using us so long ago! ### "ThunderTix is great for Briggs Farm Blues Festival! "

January 9, 2025

5.0

At first I was intimidated. As time went on, it got very easy. I haven't called customer service in a long time, but the few times I did they were very responsive and easy to talk to.

Pros

I run a large, multi-day music festival. is great with every aspect of ticketing. I track orders easily, upgrade or exchange tickets easily, and can really help people because ThunderTix is easy to understand on my end. I am really appreciative of this system. I get offers to switch all the time, but I never will.

Cons

There are no cons. At first I thought I would never be able to figure it all out, but over a short amount of time I'm fairly confident.

### "Seamless ticket sales"

March 27, 2025

5.0

I have been using TT for about 4 years now with two different theatre companies. I've never had ANY issues... and when there are issues, more often than not, there's a fix or a feature update that addresses the issue in the not too distant future.

Pros

SUPER responsive to technical questions and tech support. The system just works. We used to have so many issues when launching a show. Now... we can launch a show and sell it out in an hour and have NO issues with overbooking or ticketing conflicts. Smooth as silk. And with the pricing structure as a finite amount per ticket sold, it's easily scaleable.

Cons

Uhm... it's not free. And now I have to add more characters to come in at the minimum.

### "Wonderful product and customer service."

January 7, 2025

5.0

We've been with them for over 10 years now and the user experience and customer service continue to be exemplary, with requested features added regularly. We recommend to everyone!

Pros

It's easy to set up and modify events, and they have GREAT customer service! They respond quickly to questions and are always improving the system.

Cons

It's not possible to rename coupon codes - we have to create new ones, which makes keeping track of them all unwieldy.

### "ThunderTix is awesome! "

October 21, 2024

has been very easy to use and I really enjoy the reports you can pull out of there too. It keeps a lot of data for you and you can look at your customer base and see how many people have been coming to your shows, etc. We have been using it for about two years now and I really enjoy the way the database works. It helps make my life a lot easier.

Pros

has A LOT of flexibility about what you do or do not want to post on their site. It's very customizable depending on what your needs are. You can send pre-concert or post-concert emails as well as surveys.

Cons

Took me a little bit to learn how to use the menus.

### "Great Success with ThunderTix for my play Witchland!"

October 4, 2024

5.0

Overall, working with was super easy, and I'm definitely planning on using it for future events. My Off-Broadway play, Witchland, ran for a few weeks, and I was able to manage the entire ticketing sales and process, and allocation, seamlessly.

Pros

made the daunting task of managing tickets for my stage production super easy. They helped me set up the site, and once up and running it was very easy to manage and navigate.

Cons

No real cons with the system - there is a small learning curve initially, then it's smooth sailing.

### "Incredible support, easy interface for admin & end user, love it!"

November 22, 2023

5.0

Incredible. I had explored a few different sites and this one was the easiest to set up, with consistent, kind and useful instructions from the support team with any questions or needs I had. I would strongly recommend to anyone new to ticketing platforms, or to those who want a support team that follows through and cares about your outcomes. I will be continuing to use for my client.

Pros

The ease of the platform to set up events, have multiple types of tickets, create a donation campaign, collect various reports. Most of all, I found their customer service to be one of the best I have ever encountered. They are kind, knowledgeable, patient, clearly communicate and helped me every step of the way in a stressful time to get the ticketing functions up and running for a client of mine. I adore their skill and incredible support!

Cons

While the report options are comprehensive, it is a bit confusing to know what reports will produce what data, and so while I am new to the site, I still have to hunt to figure out which ones I need and how to best display the needed information for tickets, and donations. But i'm learning!

### "There is a lot to be said for a company that just "gets it". "

November 16, 2022

5.0

I have enjoyed partnering with over the last ten years. Of all the vendors I have used in my 29 years in this business, there are probably less than 5 that just "gets it", and Thundertix is one of those few. The product works better than advertised, the support has always been top-shelf, and everyone has always followed through on what has been said. That carries a lot of weight with me, and I would give my complete endorsement of the Thundertix brand to anyone that is looking for an event management and ticketing solution. The software is an IT Department dream come true -- something that works so well that you practically forget it is even there. If we ever decide to resume any form of entertainment series again, the Thundertix team will be my first call.

Pros

From the day we began searching for an event management solution, quickly set themselves apart from the competition with simple business ideals that are lost in today's business environment. Timely communication, quick answers, and a quiet confidence of knowledge and expertise stood out to me. The product is clearly engineered from the beginning with the non-technical end-user in mind, as my users effortlessly began using the software to manage events and ticketing without a barrage of calls to IT Tech Support.

Cons

I am hard pressed to find something that I liked least about the package. If there were ever any issues that came up, they were resolved so quickly that it didn't warrant enough merit to be remembered.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

Simple interface and ease-of-use were what appealed to us initially, but the team at quickly won us over with their commitment to actually understanding what our needs and desires were and tailoring a solution for us. There was never a feeling of shopping from a menu of preconfigured packages, there was a sincere desire to solve a problem for us that is only fostered from a team that knows their industry inside and out and has a passion for being a solution for others. Pricing was fair and the personal relationship we had with their support staff was highly efficient and effective.

### "For the New Employee"

September 19, 2019

5.0

The program, for the money, delivers a fantastic product. It is dependable and most of what we want to do with it is available. Also, it is always improving with regular updates that make it even more robust and user-friendly.

Pros

As a new employee, I appreciated that, since the previous employee had already loaded it with events, I was up and running from day 1. I could navigate to what I needed and I could sell tickets without too much training. I haven't preloaded and posted a whole season of events yet, but I have added additional performances to existing shows and I've added the occasional event. Once you've done it, it is a fairly simple process. Also, in the short amount of time that I have been using I have seen multiple updates and improvements made to the software that were either beneficial for me or they were changes that I could see would be helpful to someone in a slightly different business or industry. The software seems to always be improving.

Cons

I don't like the coupon and discount limitations. For example, we can't offer a percent off the entire transaction, without manually discounting the purchase. Also, I am frustrated that I can't just call someone who knows the software well. The FAQ's are extensive, but if you aren't familiar with the vocabulary used within the system, you spend a lot of time trying to figure out what words to use for a successful search.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

I know cost was a big deciding factor. We are a big enough company that selling tickets manually is difficult to keep track of, but we are small enough that we can't spend money on features we won't use. would do what we needed for less.

### "ThunderTix is simply the best"

February 3, 2024

has done everything we needed a ticketing platform to- and then some. When we discover something that we would like to see integrated, ThunderTix is easy to work with and almost always is able to find a solution or addition to their program. Customer service is always a pleasant experience, fast, helpful.

Pros

Cons

### "Crash, Boom, Bang! ThunderTix Makes Noise!"

February 24, 2022

5.0

For the value, we have found this to be superior for our use. We are very happy so far. On March 14th, our first event goes live. We have tested, tested, and tested. If the system holds up, we will have exactly what we expected...........a great solution for our ticketing.

Pros

TTix was one of many ticketing packages that we researched. It was mid-range priced, had a very nice cross platform web based interface. We especially found that the product was easy to use, and when needed, video tutorials were provided. They also have a robust help forum, and a support ticket system that is quick and helpful. They also offer a paid top tier support package that we did not choose. We also liked their pricing structure that allows you to move to a maintenance status for "off times". Lastly, we found that the integration with our current STRIPE account was seamless.

Cons

The added costs made us hesitate a bit. For example, reserved seating is a must for our venue. In this package, you must have them create the seating chart for you (at cost). There is a bit of a delay in this process, and other competitors allow you to create your own charts. They also charge for adding Thermal ticket printing. We found that odd but ultimately decided not to offer Thermal ticketing. There is also added costs for using their email marketing.

Our design team is phenomenal, and they talk through the presentations with our clients to ensure we've covered every detail before ticket sales begin. Most of our clients appreciate that hand-holding, but we certainly can look at a self-serve model. ### "Excellent Theatre Software"

March 23, 2023

5.0

Overall it has been an excellent experience. We were forced to change horses in mid-stream during the pandemic shut down. After a lot of hunting, this was by far the best ticketing software I was able to locate.

Pros

The controls I had over how tickets looked, how receipts looked, how many ways I had of contacting audience members, pre-sale announcements, post-sale reminders.

Cons

When I learned it in 2020, it took some time and some prior knowledge of ticketing. However, this software did what my older and then suddenly defunct ticketing sofeware could not do.

### "Simple, Straightforward Ticketing with Excellent Support"

December 2, 2021

5.0

The experience has been very positive over all. I find that other ticketing software I have used make it possible to do everything and impossible to do anything. They get so bogged down in customizability that it makes it very difficult to make the most basic thing a ticketing software needs: the ability to sell tickets. Our organization is a small, 100% volunteer community theatre. Without staff, using a software that has a million bells and whistles but takes months to master just wasn't an option for us. was immediately very easy to use. Once I did about an hour's worth of set up and purchasing, sent in our seating map, and uploaded our contact list, everything was really straight forward and intuitive. Not to mention, for moments where something might not be as clear, there's a unique amount of amazing documentation and videos provided by the staff that make it a lot easier for our volunteers. Their support is awesome and they take recommendations and bug reports really seriously. It sort of has a "local business" feel to it.

Pros

is cost-effective compared to other options on the market. It's easy to use with intuitive and thoughtful configuration. The design is empathetic and prioritizes access in a way that is refreshing for ticket software. The support is outstanding and their documentation is comprehensive. Our customers think the process is seamless and clear, and we have had no reports of a negative customer experience to date.

Cons

Support is awesome, but figuring out how to contact them can get convoluted because it's clear they want to lead you to their truly excellent documentation first. That's fine for "how do I" style questions, but makes reporting bugs pretty difficult. When we were setting up , it kind of felt like we were paying for every little thing: venue configuration, having reserved tickets, purchasing our POS equipment, etc.-- we didn't feel misled by the indicated pricing on the website, though, simply because those are primarily one time expenses.

I love the fact that you find our system easy for volunteers to use, Renae! Our design team spends a huge time on little things to make it easy. And how about those support reps? They are anything but unsung heroes to our clients, and I know they'll appreciate your words. So, thank you! I'm truly sorry you felt dinged by small fees. We really strive to be the perfect price point for smaller organizations, so we obviously have some work to do to explain any extras. Some costs such as hardware of course, are required to be passed on to the customer. By venue configuration, perhaps you mean the seating chart setup. We are looking at DIY processes to allow you to create them on your own, but we're not there yet. We'll keep improving areas for self-help to help small organizations feel confident in their choices. Thank you for your valuable feedback and, of course, your stellar rating.

### "Make your life easy and make it easy for your customers."

January 28, 2022

5.0

I love having the ability for customers who want to sign up on line with a credit card can do so. They can leave a message easily and I know when they get an email.

Pros

I like after you take a few minutes getting reacquainted (we only use it once a year from Dec- May) it is very easy to navigate. I would not consider myself techi, but you don't have to be.

Cons

I would like to have more access to a live agent. When we started using in 2014, I was able to place a call and get someone right away. I do not have to wait long to get a reply now, but I am old school and like to talk to someone. I don't like a "ticket" being used for anything that is charged. ie. we have a golf tourn and i am using a "ticket" for golfers. I have tried to figure out how to not have this.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

After looking at the flow of other products, I liked the flow of . I looked at different venues to see who they used. I called and looked into those products but eventually settled on Thundertix and have been happy for 8 years. One thing I really appreciated was being notified by Thundertix that I could actually pay less since we only had one event a year and other wise did not use Thundertix every month.

Gail, I'm so happy to hear that find our platform easy to use! We keep two users in mind in everything we do: volunteers who may have little experience with software -- especially if it's only occasional usage, and those mature patrons that didn't grow up with technology. Of course, we offer lots of bells and whistles for the daily user or tech-savvy wizard to delve into such as APIs. We'll never hesitate to pick up the phone for those items that are difficult to convey by phone, or when there significant concerns. For the majority of questions, we provide real human support, and we provide it fast. If you ever feel like you're about to hit your head on the wall, reach out, and let's see if we can connect by phone. I've shared your great feedback with our design and engineering teams, so they recognize the value of what they do! Thank you for delighting us!

### "Early user of Thundertix"

January 5, 2024

5.0

We have had a long relationship with . We started using Thundertix before they had set up the fundraising/membership functions. We have always been able to figure out how to make something work, and Thundertix has always been there to add the functionality that we need.

Pros

We have used for years. I like that Thundertix has improved the number and quality of the services it provides. They have been there for us every time we have had a problem.

Cons

During COVID we streamed some of our shows. We could not use to sell the streaming tickets. That created a problem for our season ticket holders. Our season ticket holders wanted to use their Flexpass codes to purchase streaming tickets to the shows, and they could not.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

most closely matched the season ticketing set up that our patrons were used to. Using the Flexpass, our patrons could select their shows, performances, and seats like when we had manual tickets. So, we could convert to on-line ticketing with the least amount of stress for our patrons.

### "Customer Service A+"

May 15, 2020

5.0

We have been using for nearly three years, and have been big fans of the software from the beginning, but their response to changing needs during the COVID-19 crisis have made us ThunderTix fans for life. The Thundertix team has quickly and efficiently continued to add new features that are critical during this time. The newly added options to bulk refund tickets to gift certificates and add automated social distancing seating charts are GAME CHANGERS for our industry right now. They have saved our staff hours of time and energy by implementing easy to use, effective features. Plus, they are in my opinion the absolute best bang for your buck that you can get in a ticketing software. They have lower per ticket rates than most of their competitors with superior service.

Pros

The software is incredibly user friendly. The low per ticket cost was the greatest deciding factor for us, but we have been wowed by their customer service and breadth of features. We are a non-profit theatre company that operates 10 small venues (sub 300 seats). Things we love: assigned seating, easy transfer and refund options, PDF tickets, unlimited user accounts (we have lots of ticketing volunteers), integrated email, offer to round up to nearest $5 for donation, bulk discount code creation, season tickets, pre and post event surveys.

Cons

We would like to see more versatility within season tickets, such as creating season or package tickets across multiple venues. We would like to see additional versatility with coupon codes, such as creating a code that can be used only once per person.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

Price. provided the features we needed at a very low cost per ticket.

We needed a more robust system that could offer assigned seating and print-at-home tickets.

I read that Covid gave companies a chance to shine by innovating to help meet clients through a very uncertain future. Proclaiming you are ThunderTix fans for life suggests we took that idea to heart -- and succeeded! Thank you for recognizing the contributions our engineering team made. Of course, pivoting took some wind out of our sails with respect to our product road map. But I'm thrilled to share that today, we support mixed general and reserved seating over multiple seat maps for season package tickets. Hopefully, as doors begin to open, you're enjoying those changes. Your ideas help sway our direction, so please share your coupon ideas on our feature request board. I'll cross my fingers that they become part of our platform. Thank you for your beautiful comments!

### "ThunderTix Review"

April 26, 2022

5.0

has eliminated many of the issues that we were having with residents purchasing tickets. The process from announcing upcoming events to selling/purchasing tickets is easy for our staff and residents. The reports that we need to print are readily available and easy to understand.

Pros

is easy to use. Each month I am responsible for inputting our event tickets on line to over 19,000+ residents. This system allows me to get the information out to the residents ahead of each scheduled event and select a date and time for them to go on sale.

Cons

My only suggestion would to have a contact number for an emergency issue. The forum is great but if you need help immediately it would be nice to be able to contact a live person.

Denise, it sounds like you have quite a task managing events for enough residents to fill a small town! That's quite a task you have, and I'm glad to know we have a part in making you more efficient! You are correct that we don't have a contact number, but that doesn't prevent us from picking up the phone during critical times. We're available 24/7/365, and if you are yelling "Fire!", we promise it's never to an empty room. So, while I hope you never need us in an emergency, know that we're here for you should the need arise! Thank you for your great review!

### "A great reoccurring ticketing option"

January 10, 2023

4.0

I have really appreciated your quick customer service.A lot of the problems could have been solved much quicker if had revealed that your integration system with websites doesn't really work. It took much too long for Thundertix to communicate this and we lost many sales. I suggest you do not offer this option as it was a selling feature for me and I was very disappointed with is not working for several months and Thundertix not providing solutions and instead saying it must be the customers fault; until 6 months later after several emails Thundertix finally communicated that the integration doesn't work well and we should switch to being directed to Thundertix site for ticket sales. Your quick responses are great. I really like all the other services you provide. Easy to use.

Pros

Ticketing, coupon codes, analytics, are what I use most in this software and have been an essential part of what has helped out business to grow and be successful so far. Customer service tickets is an essential software service.

Cons

It was really important to me for the software to integrate into our website. This was a selling feature for me. It caused an enormous amount of troubles and problems for much too long. We switched to the customer being directed to the site for ticketing, which is smooth and works well now and solved months of problems and lost sales.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

Reoccurring ticket service available, integration with website so customer stays on website instead of being redirected to ticketing website, good customer service is a major reason, coupon codes.

Thank you for the kind words and the critique, as both are important to us. Chrome upended things when they stopped providing persistent "sessions" which track processes between your browser and ours. Sadly, we were forced to pull our support for iframes. However, we are working on two new options to ensure your customers have a great experience. Please keep your eye out for our newsletter updates, and thank you for sharing your thoughts.
