Everything is there in the dropdowns to pick where you need go and view. Pros UKG is a pretty easy to navigate utility, especially when it comes to tracking pay and benefits. Having everything in one app is super convenient. Cons I don't think there's much to not like about this unless it's not setup correctly, but that should be addressed on implementation. From an employee standpoint they would probably say they dont like it Pros We used this for payroll, employee profiles, benefits, etc and its a pretty decent system. I quite like it. Cons The mobile app was a bit hard to rule out to employees. Always getting locked out and they were in the office constantly to get their password reset. Customer service could use some work. Pros The system is user-friendly for both the employees and administrators. A lot of extras that we don't use yet, but look forward to starting them this year. Cons The reporting is not always the easiest to get what you want and if you want any help, they call it a customized report and want to charge you. The ease of use between entry and mid-level managers from restaurants to our corporate office is also really intuitive. Cons UKG Pro does not seem to have a support team that is scalable to meet the needs of administers like myself who often ran into issues with features of UKG Pro, such as UKG Pro Learning, which is their digital LMS platform. While I appreciate that they have a support specialist team to communicate updates or give you a timeframe on how long it will take to research an item, it takes awhile. While no platform is perfect, my experience has been positive, and I appreciate how it helps us operate more efficiently. From payroll to time tracking, everything feels streamlined and easy to navigate. The interface is user-friendly, which is a huge plus—especially when you have team members who aren't as tech-savvy. Pros One of the best things about it is how easy it is to access all my info in one place. The platform does a great job of centralizing HR data, so everything I need is just a few clicks away. The mobile app is fantastic! I can quickly check my timecards, view my pay stubs, and keep track of my PTO right from my phone. This not only saves time but also makes me feel more engaged with my work and aware of what's happening with my benefits. Cons The mobile app tends to go down about once a month. It’s a bummer because when I rely on it for tasks and updates, suddenly losing access makes things a bit chaotic. The reporting is complex but once you get the hang of it, there are so many custom reports that you can create, there are many data points that you can extrapolate data from and gain valuable insights on your workforce. Pros Easily configurable to meet business needs. Mobile app is very user friendly and intuitive for our employees. For the money there is huge ROI, especially when compared to competitors, there is great value for the money. Cons Would like to see a few more items from the desktop homepage be available on the mobile app. There are some documents that I would like more of our employees to have access to on their mobile device. I've experienced practically all of the mid-level and upper-tier providers. UKG has brought the innovative spirit and superior customer service of Ultimate into the merged organization. As a result, they are our "forever" partner. Pros The responsiveness of the team writ large. UKG has solved a problem that many of the behemoths of their industry have not figured out: customer service. There will always be challenges with the implementation of ongoing maintenance of sophisticated HRIS systems. The differentiator is a provider that listens first, asks questions for clarity, responds effectively, and follows up. UKG does all of this. Cons Last year during their post merger moves, there were significant issues as Ultimate and Kronos worked through consolidation. Under their new leadership, they gained traction and rapidly solved their problems. Shop Manager Retail Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Efficient and Empowering Experience with UKG Pro (As Both Staff and Manager)" July 2, 2025 4.0 The app was essential for integrating the HR department with the operations team at the company where I worked. It greatly facilitated requests for days off, holidays, and work schedule management. When I started using UKG Pro, I was a staff member, and shortly after, I was promoted to manager. This allowed me to use the app in two different roles with different permissions, and both experiences were positive. Pros I really appreciated having greater control over my schedule information, including worked hours, scheduled hours, and days off. Updates were quick, and the payslip became much more accurate. As a manager, receiving requests through the app and creating schedules for longer periods was much faster and smarter with UKG. Cons Even after enabling facial recognition for access, the app would log out very frequently and easily, sometimes just by switching between apps or simply locking the phone for a few seconds. It is a great app easy for me to track my teams clock ins and clock outs I would definitely recommend.
