August 19, 2019 5.0 Ultipro has made tracking my own pay much easier as well as reaching out to potential new hires. This system is so easy to use once it is initially set up. Thank you Ultipro for getting it right! Pros Ultipro is a game changer when it comes to tracking and changing your own pay as well as hiring new employees. This software allows each employee to submit their own requests for direct deposit, change of address, change in dependents as well as shows each employee all of their previous pay checks electronically. As a manager it also links to our hiring portal so everything is in one place. This tool is definitely a time saver when it comes to administrative tasks. Cons The only complaints I have gotten from staff is during the initial log in. The trick is to log in using the safari browser for the first time to get it all set up. Well worth the money. Pros HR Downloads offers a broad range of services and information on the following topics: 1. Strategy 2. Workforce planning 3. Employee Engagement 4. Total Rewards 5. Labour Laws 6. Learning and Development 7. Workplace Safety The other bonus with the platform is HR Downloads offers live HR Advice. The Advisors are extremely knowledgeable and return calls quickly. For small to mid size organizations the time savings and advice truly save time and dollars. Cons The survey system isn't as robust as survey monkey. I particularly like the occurrences. Cons It is really expensive to implement, and to maintain. Virtually every report is a custom report that requires work and a cost. Pros I mostly just use this software for logging my payroll which is very simple to do. I like that I can just plug in my timesheet and that there are paycodes for different lines of work to make things more itemized. W-4, W-2, 401(k), current and previous pay periods all available at a glance. UltiPro also has a mobile app. The software is cloud based which is a big plus. Cons The only issue I have is that at least 2 or 3 times a week the app or website just does not work. Pros Looks nice, positions itself as the best HRIS out there, but not worth the money. Has all the modules you would ever need though. Cons The most cumbersome system I have ever used. Pros There were some cool self-help HR features such as being able to see what your pay would be with a pay calculator advance with taxes and all. Pros I like being able to keep track of things such as PTO and gross pay and 403b contributions among other things. Keeping track of everything has been useful. I am able to view hours worked, paystub, and request PTO/Vacation time if needed. It is so nice to have at the tip of my fingers whenever I need it. Cons The only dislike I have had is I seem to have to reset my password a lot. It seems if you go a certain amount of time without logging into it that it wants you to reset password. Easy to reset passwords from the portal. Cons The reset password options are brutal for out users. They are required to remember challenge questions regardless of reset method. I like all the features of being able to easily view my pay statement and W2. Cons When requesting PTO for partial hours of a full 8hr day, it's a little confusing, but once I learned how to do it it was easy. Figuring this out took a little time.
