### "HCM for the long haul"

They showed a real commitment to listening to us and helping us solve our problems. We are in perfect alignment with our new customer success team and look forward to years of partnership in supporting our workforce.

Pros

This solution has robust capabilities for our 2000 employee company. We have multiple union paygroups with different accruals and benefits packages and UKG Pro is able to handle them all. We have used it for 3 years and renewed.

Cons

We implemented during the time of the Kronos and Ultimate solution merger, so at times there were growing pains, both with the solution and with support.

Very good. The implementation process ran very smooth and very productive. We are very happy with our service, the only down size is the customer service team assigned to us, keeps changing often, and is a little difficult to escalate certain cases.

Pros

The accessibility is way better than other platform, more user friendly for hte employees. It works really well with our recruitment sites.

Cons

BI reporting is not very user friendly, and the customer service team is good, but in some cases the reponse takes too long

Considering the high price of this product, we expected much better support. Speaking to a call center in India with employees that do not know solutions to specific issues is not a good solution.

Pros

Payroll Processing was seamless and uncomplicated. The onboarding process is also straight forward and seamless.

Cons

Communicating with ukg was a nightmare. The call center can't help you, it takes forever to find help or you won't ever receive any kind of support. Our business was left alone with too many issues. I'm sure the software itself isn't bad, but no one was willing to assist us in making it work for our business. The software was difficult to use and not user friendly. Users couldn't locate benefit enrollment and had issues adjusting tax setup and other info. The missing support for tax setup and filing was a nightmare. The reporting feature was extremely difficult to navigate and reports had missing or incorrect info at times.

My overall experience with UKG Pro has been very positive. Its strong functionality, steady stream of innovation, and meaningful enhancements consistently improve our ability to support the business and deliver a better experience for employees.

Pros

UKG is not so complex that it requires third‑party vendors to help administer. When organizations are open to adjusting their processes, UKG Pro can streamline and enhance them, making it easier for HR to support the business effectively.

Cons

What I like least about UKG Pro is the way its modules connect. The integrations and APIs don’t always flow smoothly or quickly, which creates gaps in the end‑to‑end experience. Additionally, the look and feel varies from one module to another, and UKG needs to establish more consistency and uniformity across the entire platform.

It is one of the better systems on the market, highly customizable, easy to use, and UKG offers a good support system. We have been with the platform for two years, and have been happy with it. Just wish I had more time in the day to truly customize the platform more.

Pros

The platform is overall easy to use for both end users for both the app and web versions. I prefer UKG Pro over UKG Ready for general layout, navigation, and overall structure. UKG Pro also offers more customization when compared to top vendors (ADP, all of the Pays, etc.). The support team is also responsive in a timely manner.

Cons

The mobile app needs to be updated to include more features, for example, document acknowledgment. There are many end users who primarily use their mobile phones and will not use a computer; it is critical for the mobile app to provide all of the same options as the online version. Having to direct hundreds of employees to the web browsers when they use the mobile app is time-consuming and extremely confusing for end users.

Overall, it is a quality tool that is fairly expansive. It can handle onboarding processes, HRIS, benefits management, payroll management, self service timecard management, and time off requests.

Pros

UKG Pro has been a reliable tool for managing employee information. From candidate processing to payroll to benefits management, it does it all. It has a good value for the money and a high level of support behind it.

Cons

The website is nice, but the app has issues. Both have some features that aren't the most intuitive. Sometimes it takes a couple minutes to navigate to the right area for timecard punches resulting in missed minutes.

### "Frustrated but Hopeful"

Generally, I love the foundation of the product. I wish that the customer support was better and server issues weren't a concern. We have found a lot of work arounds for the process issues we have, so do wish more improvements could be made around the core system instead of other modules like Bryte AI. We've only been on UKG for 2 years, so am hoping to see more development in the future. We have received feedback that the user interface is great and employee friendly, so we're curious how the new user experience will change that.

Pros

I love Business Intelligence and the ability schedule reports and automatically import them through the Web Import Tool.

Cons

We've had several issues with payroll processing (like files not going to the bank due to a server issue with UKG - happens once/month) a lack of customer support (where we feel like we keep getting handed off instead of working together to find a solution). We also have 20+ companies, so moving employees between companies has been challenging process-wise, especially when employees are transferring back to a company they've already worked in before. We also have an issue with workflows overwriting each other, depending on which one was submitted first.

During my 32 yrs. as a Payroll Professional I have worked with several Payroll processing systems, and UKG has made the switch over to cloud base feel almost seamless.

Pros

The ease of processing a payroll and the security in knowing that tax filings will be done correct and in a timely manor. Customer Service is top tier. You can expect communication via email or by phone almost instant.

Cons

The reporting could be more user friendly. There are many standard reports available for your use, however trying to build a custom report on your own is very complicated if not impossible.

General HRIS functionality is good. The customer service has gotten better over the years, however service requests are still a little slow.

Pros

Navigation and ease of use. Manager and Employee self service features are great. Ability to add user defined fields helps HR track unique items.

Cons

It has been hard to determine what is provided standard and what is an added cost. Service requests are slow.

As an HR Generalist using UKG Pro primarily for payroll and timekeeping, my overall experience has been mixed but generally positive. UKG Pro has a lot of cool reports and functions however it requires significant training and ongoing system knowledge to use effectively. In my opinion, PUK Pro is best suited for organizations that have dedicated HR/Payroll staff and the time to properly implement and maintain the system to it's full capacity.

Pros

This platform is easy for staff to navigate and easily access paystubs, tax forms, VAC and SICK time, timecards which helps reduce routine HR inquiries. I really like all the reporting options within UKG for payroll, time, and employee data. Makes payroll and reconciliations easier to do. Customer Service for this platform has been overall better than other payroll systems I've used in the past.

Cons

The system is not very intuitive, especially for new HR or Payroll users. Many tasks, such as pulling reports or making a historical corrections require multiple steps. Support does seem to require a lot of trial and error which can be frustrating. Accruals and pay codes can be complicated to understand as a new user and for staff to understand.

Overall experience has been good. I have used UKG since 2019 and it has done more than the previous systems I have used.

Pros

I like the web import tool and platform configuration functionality. It allows us to setup mapping or hide fields that certain users do not need to see or edit.

Cons

I wouldn’t say I like it the least but I have the least experience using the mobile app as an administrator.

Overall, UKG Pro is a great HCM for small to mid-size companies. Although it lacks some functionality the price and ease of use make it a great choice for a company our size.

Pros

The ease of usability for both admins as well as end user. Also, it's nice that the customer support is outsourced and for urgent issues there is a rapid phone number. As compared other competitors in the magic quadrant, priced well.

Cons

There is some inherent functionality that is missing. Also, while it is amazing that we have the opportunity and ability to create platform configured fields and utilize UDFs they don't flow to other modules in UKG.

UKG works just fine. Compared to other HRSI systems that I have worked with, there are no pros that stand out.

Pros

The menus are easy to navigate. It is helpful to have a separate page for managers to post their resources.

Cons

the benefits admin piece is clunky. It is difficult to track correct benefit effective date when an employee changes coverage tiers. The reporting is overly complex to attempt to build a new report and pull in the correct fields. The Content Management gadgets is unnecessarily complex.

Pros

Provides ease of use with their timekeeping system and also great forums for helpful tips about their system.

Cons

Some items within our timekeeping system is a bit difficult to remove due to documentation purposes.

Overall, experience has been good using UKG Pro. As a manager of a team, it has allowed me to easily manage times, reviews and overall tasks within a single software.

Pros

It's user friendly and easy to use in all aspects. Aside from payroll and time management, we've been able to utilize it for goal tracking, performance reviews and salary planning.

Cons

While it's good that it is customizable, it can be painful to navigate through these customizations and make the software exactly what you imagine.

I have had very minimal issues and have enjoyed this program for all my time keeping and tax information records.

Pros

It does an excellent job at keeping a database of time cards and as well as keeps track of all the taxes and W2's for each employee.

Cons

Sometimes the app on a mobile device is not user friendly. It sometimes zoom's in really large and it makes using the app difficult at times.

Pros

The system is user-friendly for both the employees and administrators. A lot of extras that we don't use yet, but look forward to starting them this year.

Cons

The reporting is not always the easiest to get what you want and if you want any help, they call it a customized report and want to charge you.

The app was essential for integrating the HR department with the operations team at the company where I worked. It greatly facilitated requests for days off, holidays, and work schedule management. When I started using UKG Pro, I was a staff member, and shortly after, I was promoted to manager. This allowed me to use the app in two different roles with different permissions, and both experiences were positive.

Pros

I really appreciated having greater control over my schedule information, including worked hours, scheduled hours, and days off. Updates were quick, and the payslip became much more accurate. As a manager, receiving requests through the app and creating schedules for longer periods was much faster and smarter with UKG.

Cons

Even after enabling facial recognition for access, the app would log out very frequently and easily, sometimes just by switching between apps or simply locking the phone for a few seconds.

Once logged in, it was fine, but the logging in process was always something I struggled with, even with continued use.

Pros

It was the most secure payroll I have ever used with the many different companies I have worked for. There was a tutorial on how to use it and then it was a bit user friendly after getting the hang of it. I am not sure of the cost, but you could see everything on one interface including hours.

Cons

It was more cumbersome than other apps I have used. It took some getting used to and you need more than a login name and password, you need company info as well as an identifier.

Best in class. I've experienced practically all of the mid-level and upper-tier providers. UKG has brought the innovative spirit and superior customer service of Ultimate into the merged organization. As a result, they are our "forever" partner.

Pros

The responsiveness of the team writ large. UKG has solved a problem that many of the behemoths of their industry have not figured out: customer service. There will always be challenges with the implementation of ongoing maintenance of sophisticated HRIS systems. The differentiator is a provider that listens first, asks questions for clarity, responds effectively, and follows up. UKG does all of this.

Cons

Last year during their post merger moves, there were significant issues as Ultimate and Kronos worked through consolidation. Under their new leadership, they gained traction and rapidly solved their problems.

The UKG Pro product is very powerful, configurable, and has high-availability. Any SaaS application has an occasional bug or unexpected downtime, but core modules in particular (ie. payroll) are rarely, if ever, unavailable. Service and Support can be a bit more variable, however, as UKG has become more and more popular and the number of customers has rapidly increased, it seems that the support organization has not increased at a similar pace. Recent AI additions to support case creation, and similar initiatives anticipated in the next quarter, may alleviate this concern.

Pros

UKG Pro is intuitive, user-friendly, and able to meet the HR and Payroll needs of any organization. Pro is powerful reporting and analytic capabilities thanks to utilizing the Cognos engine. There is a high-degree of configuration available allowing customers to build business rules and business processes to handle workflows, alerts, and notifications.

Cons

There are some items that require using a legacy "Back Office" application. This option is less-intuitive and very different from UKG Pro. Thankfully all of those features are slated to be retired/replaced within the next year.

We have been a UKG client for 6 years and overall very satisfied overall with the product. The system has really helped us scale as an organization and provides us a one stop shop and single source of truth for all our employee information. We pretty much utilize all modules and they work as needed.

Pros

UKG Pro does exactly what we need it to do. We really like that it has worked well for us as an "all in one" solution that handles HR, Payroll, Learning, Performance & Talent Management, Compensation, Recruitment & Onboarding etc... While there's no perfect "one size fits all" HRIS, UKG Pro checks a lot of the boxes for us and has been a great system to support our growth and scaling as a department over the last 6 years.

Cons

Ever since the merge between Ultimate and Kronos group, the service and support model has not been where I'd like to see it. Lot's of promises about focus in this area, but yet to see anything come to fruition. Some of the modules UX/UI need improvement and updating - can be a bit clunky.

I do like the program other than not being able to see certain things, becasue I am able to see them another way.

Pros

I really like the easy navigation of the app and the website. It is all laid out in very neat tiles. the job recruiting page is also very neat and organized.

Cons

While the app was easy to navigate and is laid out nicely. I can never get it to pull up my paystubs or PTO on the app.

One of the best things about UKG Pro is its configurability and reporting and analytics capabilities.

Cons

I have struggled with its Succession planning module the most. Part of it is lack of utilization, but much of it is its ability to fit what leaders are looking for. It is not very flexible.
