Learning the in and outs of the program only took a few days but we do not regret out decision to switch! Pros A very versatile program with ample room for customization and an incredibly helpful support staff. Cons The graphic design and user interface could be a little more polished and appealing. I've added a stand up computer on the clinic floor because most entries are so quick, it's a waste of energy to sit down. Pros The ease of charting and the notes below the chart that are permanently there and aren't scrolled with the official chart notes. Cons The click to the chart page from the calendar could be simplified. Most calendars provide a left click but yours left click options provide the rescheduling options. One option at the bottom of the scroll down menu for chart face would be nice. Also, my network computer manager has always hated that this is not a web product by current definitions. He consults on all sorts of industries and the computer products always use online servers if they are called "web". Cons There are so many features that there is a learning curve that takes some time to incorporate all the potential features of this software. It is an excellent software product with excellent customer service and support. The database is MySQL which is fast and efficient. My only regret is that I did not implement this product 15 years sooner when it came out in the early 1990s. Tech support has been responsive and helpful and with help, it has been able to meet most of our needs. Pros I really like Practice Web Connect. We are able to communicate with patients in a way that is more comfortable and convenient for them. I also really like that we can call tech support instead of sending a help ticket. They are also very helpful and responsive. Cons While the software has a lot of flexibility and customization options, it is a bit difficult to know how to make the software do what you need it to, without having tech support remote in to do it for you. August 3, 2024 5.0 Practice-web is an all-in-one dental system, very easy to navigate and learn. Coming from previous banker who has a zero experience in the dental industry. Pros Practice-Web system is very easy to navigate. Also, if I have any technical difficulty, their technical support is available even on weekends and they reach out pretty fast. Cons The least I like about the tool is that the bone graft has no tooth number option so I would have to edit it on our EDI solutions website. I hope they can update this. Their monthly support system is also excellent I highly recommend to use their monthly support. Pros I have been using Practice-Web for my dental office needs! I started using this software in 2008 and we have been upgrading our office to the latest version 20.3 today. This software is very friendly and easy to use. Over the years I had multiple staff come and go and they were easily trained to use this software. The software continues to change and improve with new features that are very helpful. The most liked part of the software is the ease to use of this software. Cons This software is very difficult not to like. It doesn’t have too many flaws. The only thing that was a problem had to do with HMO insurances however even that I learned to work with the program since HMO insurances wasn’t a big part of my practice. We use to have Eagle soft. I find that its much easier to use Practice Webb and the price is definetly much reasonable than Eagle Soft. Pros The software is very easy to use and includes everything needed for compliance purposes. Cons Not having the option to edit the price and cost of procedures in an excel (Microsoft) format is a bit laborsome when you have to adjust pricing after a treatment plan has already been entered. At the moment, if I need to edit the cost of a procedure, I have to open each procedure entered and adjust the price individually. It would be great if we can adjust the pricing on a procedure without having to click and open each procedure. Being a smaller company, have worked with almost the same technicians. Also, have multiple practices, they were able to work out a reduced payment plan. Pros I think it is easy to learn; I have a small office and the entire staff is able to understand and use it. Cons A problem with filing insurance charges, then later the patient tells us that it was changed prior to that appt. Unable to use the new insurance with the no longer one out.
