I would recommend this to other dental officed. It is a major upgrade from the old one. Great improvements and it makes you want to work when logging in and seeing all the program has to offer. It gives you the drive to want to learn more about and actually watch the tutorial videos.

Pros

The layout of the program is colorful and engaging. Easy to navigate and the symbols are self explanatory.

Cons

The cloud based part is the only problem. It can take a few minutes to load. And a lot of times we are unable to assist patients when this happens because it lags for 5 minutes at a time

I have had a great and satisfying experience over the last 10 years (plus?) with practice-web. I have been a loyal customer and have recommended it to a number of my colleagues who are also satisfied with the product.

Pros

Cost: Reasonable and affordable Customer service: Always available, if not immediately, it is certainly within a couple of hours and/or same day Clinical features: user friendly, has all the components needed to document clinical settings, easy to navigate between modules

Cons

Practice-web has improved the perio and tooth charting!!!! it has been a slow but productive process.

I am very happy with the software. I find it very easy to navigate and the support is excellent. Unlikee other software support, they actually pick up calls, and on rare occasions when they don’t, they are quick to return the call. I love it!

I brag about it all. Very efficient. I've added a stand up computer on the clinic floor because most entries are so quick, it's a waste of energy to sit down.

Pros

The ease of charting and the notes below the chart that are permanently there and aren't scrolled with the official chart notes.

Cons

The click to the chart page from the calendar could be simplified. Most calendars provide a left click but yours left click options provide the rescheduling options. One option at the bottom of the scroll down menu for chart face would be nice. Also, my network computer manager has always hated that this is not a web product by current definitions. He consults on all sorts of industries and the computer products always use online servers if they are called "web".

Practice-web is an all-in-one dental system, very easy to navigate and learn. Coming from previous banker who has a zero experience in the dental industry.

Pros

Practice-Web system is very easy to navigate. Also, if I have any technical difficulty, their technical support is available even on weekends and they reach out pretty fast.

Cons

The least I like about the tool is that the bone graft has no tooth number option so I would have to edit it on our EDI solutions website. I hope they can update this.

texting word count limitations and the fact that the number for the texts comes out as 1-800 number; not that great in terms of the reports being accurate (like recall list)

To address your concerns, unfortunately all text message providers limit the number of letters/characters allowed to be transmitted. But we have done everything we can to make sure that our users have the ability to send the maximum number of characters allowed by the cell phone service providers. If you find that your recall list has some inaccuracies, this typically occurs when a staff member doesn't correctly use the Recall Appointment button in the Appointment Module. Have your staff call our support team and we'll be happy to review the correct use of Recalls in Practice-Web.

As with any other program, sometimes it crashes, and opening a second app like DENTIMAX or OWANDY takes more than 3 clicks.

I find the ease of charting and treatment planning; it is uncomplicated and straightforward! Software support is very personalized, and I rely on the support for problem resolution, upgrades and usage/training.

Cons

Lack of “cloud” support, but they add Doctor Portal now which helps

### "For my practice, Practice-Web has been the answer for the financial management."

Practice-Web has been solid in the basic functions that I use, primarily insurance billing, patient account management, document storage - including x-rays. It has been very stable and is updated fairly regularly and in using it I have the impression that I am keeping up with all of the possibilities that technology offers in running my "specialty" dental practice which is limited solely to Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Pros

PW is quite easy to use and is robust in its reporting capability. Over the 40 years that I've practiced dentistry I've used Easy Dental, QuickDental, JDent, and Practice-Web. Of these, PW is by far the best for its integration of several functions. I especially value the ability to scan and attach documents to each patient record!

Cons

I used to be able to categorize patients by SNF (skilled nursing facility) using a special field in the software. This made it easy to sort in this way, but, unfortunately, this field was taken over by Open Dental a number of years after I had purchased Practice Web and after that it was no longer available for my using it in the unique way that I did. I really miss that function! I also wish that there were shortcut keystrokes for data entry rather than mouse clicks only.

They had the best price for all of the functions that I wanted in practice management software.

I rate it a 8 of 10 because some of the chart features need to be updated AND management reports, and te patient schedule module needs more features.

Pros

Very easy to use reminds we a lot of Eaglesoft.

Cons

Not enough management reports. We need end of day reports for adjustments, collections etc.

I enjoy using Practice Webb since its Easy to use. We use to have Eagle soft. I find that its much easier to use Practice Webb and the price is definetly much reasonable than Eagle Soft.

I wish they had the I cloud practice web when we first got the server base.

Pros

Low cost,, was great during my practice start up phase as I could not spare additional cash flow to pay for premium software

The features were updated very infrequently and slow to be released.

Main reason was the low cost and immediate need for software. It was early in their company’s history as well and easier to work with them. As they grew it became more difficult

I can't match you to your account with 100% certainty because Capterra doesn't show your last name, though it looks like you might have had Support for short period of time about a decade ago. Paid support is required to receive the upgrades. Major releases are done roughly twice per year with minor upgrades between. Technical support is also a benefit of paid support. We've had a 98-100% satisfaction rate from clients (via post-support surveys) for the past several years and holding. It's a big deal to us because we follow up on every issue - we want our clients to be happy and thrive! I'm not sure if your experience wasn't up to par because your Support lapsed or something else happened because it was so long ago, but if you'd like to elaborate more or see what Practice-Web is like today, please call us at 800.845.9379 (opt 1).
