Cons Since it is OLTP and thus row-optimized, Postgres is not suitable for analytical workloads, which are becoming increasingly common with the advent of AI and machine learning applications. Cons It did not have the features needed to deep dive into multiple databases. It isn't very apparent where the query editor is. The wizard setup for the DB connections could be improved. March 6, 2018 5.0 Pros This is an open-source relational database. One might consider it to be the modern gold standard RDBMS. Nothing really compares. It's much better than MySQL and others. Moreover, the "Postgres ecosystem" is so robust right now, you can really do most things in it. For example, if you want to do GIS, there's an extension for that; timeseries? there's an extension for that. Cons Installation of Postgres can be a bit tricky on various operating systems. Cons Hard to learn and you need to have database understanding to work around this tool. Implementing roolback plan is tough on POSTGRESQL. Its weak on GUI size but it is good enough for processing of large data which helps us in complex system processes. Pros PostgresSQL seems good scalable and stable database management platform. I started to use it with my video project. Its performance is coming very good in such complex system. Its good for complex projects and easily deployable also in Linux environments. Cons It is CPU intensive application and using consuming lots of bandwidth. Its interface for managinng db is not good as we see found better in mySQL case.
