### "Best RDBMS"

February 11, 2019

5.0

Pros

It's flexibility and ability to handle different data types. Being able to handle JSON data in a RDBMS is powerful and priceless.

Cons

There are not a lot of admin tools (compared to commercial RDBMSs).

### "Open Source Relational Database"

May 3, 2021

4.0

In particular, we prefer to use Postgres as a team in all our newly developed projects. We can easily integrate and manage Java projects.

Pros

I think it's great that it's open source. Thus, you can benefit from many features without paying any fees. It also has a very large community network. Apart from that, you can shape your tables as you want with the jsonb data type. You can do flexible full text search easily.

Cons

Reading speed is slightly lower than similar products, especially limited to.

### " easy to use and understand"

March 15, 2018

3.0

It can operate on platform specifications, including Linux, Windows, Unix. Large storage capacity Good scalability since it is able to adjust to the number of CPU and the amount of available memory optimally, supporting a greater number of simultaneous requests to the database correctly. It supports the types of data, clauses, functions and commands of standard type SQL92 / SQL99 and extended own of PostgreSQL ..

Pros

its graphic environment and considerable savings in operating costs: PostgreSQL has been designed to have a maintenance and adjustment lower than the products of commercial suppliers, while retaining all the characteristics, stability and performance. Stability and reliability: There have been no drops in the database

Cons

That Compared to MySQL is slower in insertions and updates, since it has intersection headers that do not have MySQL Support online: There are official forums, but there is no mandatory help It consumes more resources than MySQL .

### "Develop and manage different databases thanks to this software"

May 10, 2018

5.0

We were able to create databases for projects, configure it in different platforms since it is available in almost any Unix, with 34 platforms in the latest stable version, in addition to a native version of Windows in test status.

Pros

\- Unlimited installation: You can not sue a company for installing it on more computers than the license allows. - It has a graphical interface and makes it much easier for unskilled users

Cons

\- Compared to MySQL it is slower in insertions and updates, since it has intersection headers that do not have MySQL. - Online support: There are official forums, but there is no mandatory help

### "The best SQL database."

July 21, 2019

5.0

Postgres is my choice for sql database. It is very modern, secure, scalable.

Pros

Postgres is the most comprehensive and fully featured database among all sql databases. It is very modern and has some no-sql features.

Cons

Setting up Postgres requires some time and resources, it is not as easy to start with as other databases.

### "Multi-purpose database"

May 6, 2021

4.0

Pros

Postgress allows you to use databases of different sizes, from small repositories with hardly any relationships between tables to real monsters. The interface is very intuitive and the creation of queries with subqueries is faster than other database providers. The license is also free, which is a great point in its favour.

Cons

It should have a graphical interface for the creation of ERD schemas, there are other products that allow us to perform this task, but it should be incorporated.

### "PostgreSQL worked great paired with AWS RDS"

December 8, 2022

5.0

It does exactly what it does when you know the features and implement good data architecture. I have no complaints.

Pros

We never had any issues with data storage, backups, performance analysis, processing speed, or data security. It had exactly all the features we needed to architect our database.

Cons

There isn't that much flexibility when scheduling jobs, but there is a workaround for it.

### "Powerhouse of the DB world"

March 27, 2019

5.0

Pros

There is a gigantic following and community behind Postgres that makes it so that if you have a problem or usecase you're unsure about, there's a 99% chance someone out there has dealt with the same thing and can help you out with an implementation.

Cons

There is quite a bit to dive into so this is not unlike other DB systems but it does always feel better to have someone who has worked with Postgres looking over your shoulder to make sure you're not shooting yourself in the foot over things that look like small configuration tweaks. Though that's not always going to be possible so it feels restrictive to play with in a staging or pre-production environment.

### "PG is the future"

February 23, 2019

5.0

Pros

PG is about as good as it gets. It's a fantastic database solution with every and any feature you could need. It's extensible and very reliable. PG is extremely fast and predictable. If you can get PG offered as a service while hosting your app in the cloud it's a no brainer.

Cons

I don't really have any complaints about PG. It can be difficult to upgrade between versions as it's quite strict with how it handles versioning and data, but this can be seen as a pro and not necessarily a con in tight infrastructure scenarios since it is so strict.

### "Excellent database manager"

May 14, 2018

4.0

Pros

Excellent bse data manager for medium and high applications, your work environment is quite simple, you can make high performance migrations, and you have a very fast query memory, you can grow quickly, and dispose of the services efficiently and efficiently. effective.

Cons

It is slower in insertions and updates, the interceptors that manages the database make it very slow and consume resources. It can consume more resources than usual for any manager and does not have very good information on the web.

### "Your great alternative for database needs"

May 5, 2019

5.0

using it with Ruby on Rails which works perfectly fine. also many data just needed to be dumped, where JSONB comes really handy. you can also query based on the JSONB parameter, which is great. just be careful with your index

Pros

\- many neat features such as json as a data structure - have a powerful search when you're not ready to commit with elastic search infrastructure - easy to migrate from MySQL in terms of familiarity (not system migration)

Cons

\- some command is simpler in MySQL, especially the CMD command

Really good

Pros

Best DBMS that I've used so far. Ability of saving data as objects and being a relational database management system make it most suitable for micro service architecture based developments

Cons

Better if we can have ability to set row lock time out(time out for aquire a row lock) at query level

### "Reliable Open-Source Database"

January 20, 2023

5.0

Overall I think, additionally to MySQL, PostgreSQL is my favourite relational database because of the already mentioned benefits.

Pros

The biggest benefits PostgreSQL databases offer are in my opinion that they are super reliable, performant, open-source and are working with common SQL standards.

Cons

If you are really honest, compared to some other alternatives, PostgreSQL databases have a low reading speed.

### "Post-Postgres"

April 15, 2019

4.0

We have issues with data corruption on our postgres machines that requires full re-installation of the software. I have not experienced this issue with other platforms, luckily this is more "blue moon" type of consistency, and isn't a problem that we need to deal with very often.

Pros

PostgresSQL is a fine database manager, and has come as part of an application that we are using every day. As far as configuration on our end, it's literally as simple as installing it - the rest of it basically took care of itself.

Cons

Not very intuitive, and it runs a little slow compared to other offerings.

PostgreSQL is the default database at our company. It is able to meet all our requirements and provides good performance aspects as well. It has a lot of built-in transaction management options as well

Cons

Somethings migrating data to a table in the PostgreSQL table is slow due to its implementation. Also, Performance needs a considerable no of computer resources.
