What I like most about Creative Cloud is the integration and access to so many tools for promoting my client's business. Print, Web, Video, you name it, Adobe has a tightly integrated software tool that can help me produce it. With the Creative Cloud Subscription Service, I am able to keep my software platform up to date at a significantly more affordable price than if I had to purchase an update every 2-3 years or so. Cons Sometimes New releases have bugs or remove key functionality and it can be hard to figure out. Also, and I know that this is a fleeting issue, compatibility with Windows 7 seams to bring on more and more issues. Review Source Robson G. Instead of having to purchase hundreds of dollars or software up front to be installed on one device, I can choose my monthly plan that has just what I need and can access it from anywhere. I can see right on the creative cloud what programs I have, which are always up to date (no need to purchase new versions!) as well as easily add other software if needed as my business grows. Cons Every once in a while an update will cause glitches, but Adobe tends to be quick to fix issues. Pros \- Lots of solutions, - A ton of user-generated content: brushes, tutorials, sets... there is no limit to the personalization, and the community is huge, - The suite system allows for all the apps being connected on all our devices, which is super useful. Cons \- Lots of solutions, so it may be difficult to find the right one for special projects, - The different contracts and options might be difficult to read. I have been on subscription for a few years now and I like the upgrades and not having to shell out for new or upgraded software with upgrades as they come out Pros Adobe creative cloud is obviously the gold standard for creative content creation. I am very amazed that they can still find ways of improving the software version after version. I was a few versions behind when I watched a training video on Photoshop and realized that there are some great new tools and other improvements that really help usability. Cons There are so many features in all of their software it seems it has gotten more complicated to use over the years. Basic functionality seemed more intuitive when you only had so much of it. I've been using Adobe software for over 10 years and it just keeps getting better. Pros I use Adobe software every day for work, and for personal design use. It's so robust and I learn new tricks and tools regularly. I really like that they have moved to a cloud-based software because I can update my apps as soon as they come out with new features, without having to wait and re-purchase the entire suite. Cons The only complaint I have about Adobe is that some of the tool functionality and shortcuts vary from one app to the next (i.e. some Illustrator tool shortcuts and functionality are different than InDesign, which are also different from Photoshop, etc.) Review Source RV Riccardo V. It has been an integral tool through my student years as well as my post-college career. I use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign the most, and they all help me create print and digital designs on a near daily basis. I appreciate the constant upgrades to various software and ability to customize workspaces. Cons I dislike the cost of this software. Luckily my work pays for it, but if it didn't, I wouldn't personally be able to afford a monthly or yearly fee. I liked that back in the day it was just a one-time payment for the software. It used to cost way too much to buy the software outright, but with its monthly plan, it's become really affordable for me! I use Photoshop to design graphics for my blog, for my clients advertising materials and sometimes, just to doodle! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to have every single tool in the box to create graphics! Cons The only thing most people will not like about this software is how steep the learning curve is. It took me probably 6 - 8 months before I got the hang of it. However, once you do, you can create just about anything you want! Once you get the hang of the programs, they are second nature and, as a designer, I can't live without them. They are essentially industry standards. Pros I love that Adobe is continually trying to improve their products. I results in frequent updates, but the company is never standing still which in a way speaks to their dedication to their users. Cons There are 2 things that I greatly dislike. The cost - I feel like no one profession fully utilizes all the program offerings because no company has the need for them all so you end up paying a monthly price for a massive amount of program offerings you only use a few of. I used to be a final cut pro loyalist, through and through. But when they switched from FCP7 to FCPX I switched over to Adobe Premiere, this was back in 2015 that I made the change. And now I couldn't be more grateful that I made the switch and started utilizing not only premiere, but many programs within the Adobe CC suite on a daily basis. Adobe CC has revolutionized what it means to be a creative and artist in this day and age. Pros I love how connected the software programs are to one another. I love how intuitive keystrokes are once you get into the programs. And I love the frequency of updates and improvements constantly made. Cons When in Premiere, I often get the pop up message that "an unexpected error has occurred" and the program force quits out on me. That used to be a huge issue prior to taking the proper measures to prevent a file/work catastrophe from occurring on the backend. But the issue has seemed to become less and less frequent now that I'm updating more regularly. Review Source Marc S. Love the product. Unfortunately, the price means I can only afford to use 'some of the apps'. Pros Love Adobe's Creative Cloud. Love the way that Photoshop gives you lots more tools (over CS4), and gives you mini-tutorials to understand how they function. Amazingly simple to learn and use. Much better than previous versions. Cons Hard to find a con. It really is a great tool. My only complaint would be the cost. You pay a lot for one app e.g.) Photoshop, and then you realise you have to pay a heck of a lot more for the others. Could get expensive! Additionally, i'm not a huge fan of the 'you can only install on 2 devices, and can only use concurrently on 1 device!'
