Pros The fact that the user can login and set up their own software pretty much anywhere without IT support. Cons I can not think of a single downside to this. You'd be hard pressed to find a decent competitor for this software family that does a job as good or better. Pros The Adobe family has certainly solidified its position as one of the absolute best out there. With everything from Photoshop, to Illustrator, Audition, InDesign and all the rest, there's never a shortage of tools to get the job done. Most if not all of these software offer cloud based backups and they work on multiple devices, including handhelds for the designer on the go. Cons I'm not the biggest fan of the new subscription model, I generally prefer once off payments and that's it but, I guess when the product is this good, we've all got to bite the bullet. Also, much like most software of its kind, this will definitely require a decent mid-range to top of the line PC in order to run everything smoothly. Review Source Tony M. Updating is seamless and easy to perform, and they let you know with a red dot when it's time. Cons I suppose for a first-time user it's confusing that the top bar is an easy access section as I don't believe there's a physical application to click on. We can use the individual products or multiple products to produce high quality visualizations and applications. The products integrate with other software nicely. There are lots of tutorials and learning resources available. Cons There is definitely a learning curve involved with using some of the products such as Illustrator and Lightbox but here are many resources and tutorials available to help. Photoshop and After Effects took me years to learn and I still kind of stumble my way around in them, but they are absolutely essential to my business. September 19, 2019 5.0 It provides me everything I need. It's even better for students. The prices are very reasonable. Pros It's funny but my favourite part about this is the font library. I enjoy the CC version of adobe so much. Everything is much easier when it comes to finding new fonts, updates, new programs and can be used on more than one device. Cons Some programs are still quite large so it takes up alot of room on my laptop. I wish there was a way to reduce the size of the software more when using software from a cloud. I am a long time fan. Pros I have been using Lightroom for the last 7 years. The best thing about Creative cloud is that I no longer have to worry about upgrading anymore. You always get the current version with the best feature set. The fact that they also bundle in Photoshop with it as part of the Imaging solution is just the icing on the cake. Works beautifully across my Macbook and desktop PC. And its actually pretty low resource consuming than what it used to be like. Frequent updates are also a great add on. I use Audition several hours a day, every day, and I frequently use PhotoShop. When you get a Creative Cloud account you are free to download and use ALL Adobe products and update them as updates become available (the best part of the deal). I haven't quite figured out what to do with the storage that is offered since I was storing my files on Microsoft's OneDrive prior to getting an Adobe CC Account, but I'm sure there's a benefit to that. I recommend it for sure...and if you are a student or a teacher and can prove it, Adobe gives you a discount. Pros Access to ALL Adobe products and updates as they become available. There are plenty of video tutorials available to teach you how to use software you are not familiar with, or new features programs you do use. Cons The environment gives the impression it is for pros who know what they are doing, which might be a little overwhelming for the average consumer who is learning what Adobe programs offer.
