Pros I use this software daily and love it BUT when I've had duplicate billing issues with them it took MONTHS to resolve. Cons Customer support was horrible! Owner/Designer Design Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Adobe Creative Cloud - Worth It" December 3, 2019 5.0 Adobe Creative Cloud, is almost essential for my industry (web & graphic design) due to Adobe file formats being the most widely used and accepted. I’m able to keep clients happy by working through Adobe Creative Cloud instead of having to outsource or upset clients/customers. My experience has been mostly positive. The one time I needed help with something, customer service (via live chat) got my problem squared away within minutes. Pros Adobe Creative Cloud is an industry standard, their file formats are widely accepted. Also, the fact that most of its apps are accessible across all of my devices. (macOS, ipadOS, iOS.) Cons My least favorite thing about this software is the subscription model. While they do offer various different plans, depending on your needs and company size, it can be hard to justify the cost. Reason for choosing Adobe Creative Cloud I did not, the alternatives are a one time purchase so I still own and use that software as well. Pros I love that you now access this software via the cloud rather than downloading it all to your computer, which used to take up a lot of space. I almost exclusively use the Creative Cloud for Photoshop, which is still the photo-editing software par excellence. Photoshop has gotten a facelift in the cloud, but its functionality remains mostly the same. Cons Logging in for the first time wasn't very intuitive. I had to call my work's tech team to walk me through it. After that it has been a breeze to use. Luckily, my work pays for the software, but if I were getting it on my own, I wish there were an option to access only one program, like Photoshop, since I really don't need the other options. I can open and see my a/c details, available apps- everything at one place which is very handy. I don't use all of the programs but it does a great job to send out the notification about updating the app too. Cons There is no specific drawback. I find it easy to use, I like the shortcuts, and I think it links with Dropbox pretty well, which has been key. Pros I like the functionality of Adobe Creative Cloud. It's nice to have all my creative apps in one place. And once you learn one program (like Audition) I find it's easier to pick up another (like Premiere). Cons Sometimes it can be a bit clunky (not intuitive)-- something might happen or change by accident etc. and I won't know what to do and how to remedy it. However, there's a lot good tutorials and FAQs online that have helped me get through this. There used to be some occasional crashing but that has seemed to go down too. Pros This is a bundle of adobe software's that are very useful for any company working in the department of design, multimedia or web development. Products like Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, After Effect and more, are available with a license that can be paid monthly, all in a cloud system where you can download and update at any time your software, all licensed and can be available in two machines each license, so you can use in your laptop or desktop PC, also works in Windows an MAC OS. If you change your laptop, then it is not a problem, you just have to logout from one of the other machine, which you can force the logout on the present one. Awesome product. Pros It is extremely user friendly and i like the move to online. It makes it easy to upgrade to the latest version and keep up to date with the newest features. I am not a designer but have to deal with adobe files regularly at work. It fits the bill for what I need to do. Cons Incompatibility with Linux. The code base is obviously so antiquated and tied to osx/windows libraries that Adobe have refused to port it to Linux for years. As an open source advocate I believe that this would greatly help linux to become a more viable competitor in the operating system world. Expensive if you wantthe full suite. However, now that I use the Cloud, I actually really like it, and plan on adding more subscriptions soon. Love that we can get the most up to date version, with all the new doodads and fixes. Been a good investment for us at least. Pros I use Adobe Audition for radio production out of the cloud software, and have found it to be more reliable than previous versions, and worth the monthly fee. Cons Not a huge fan of a monthly fee, personally would rather have buy-out software. BUT I get the latest version this way, so it is great. From the Creative Suite to the Creative Cloud, I love what Adobe Creative Cloud offers. Pros I love how all the Adobe Creative Cloud products interface with each other. I am able to use Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere together. Any changes I make to a file automatically updates to another file in the same link. Also, the bridge app helps organize files according to their level of importance. Best of all, Adobe adds new applications frequently making it easier to create. Cons I miss the ability to pay and keep an individual package. Monthly cloud payments become expenseive. However, students and instructors get discounts so that makes it more affordable. Pros It let's you control access to all of the Adobe software available in a subscription purchase from one menu bar app on the MAc computer. You can download different apps in the suite and also update those apps all from within the one central Adobe Creative Cloud manager app installed in yoiur menu bar. Cons Every once in a while the menu bar app will fail to complete the install or updating for a program app and will get hung up. When this happens there is no instruction on what to do. The customer service is outstanding and any time a question or issue comes up, the support team is right there with solutions and suggestions we may not have been aware of. Work would be a complete mess without Adobe Creative Cloud! Pros The best thing about Adobe Creative Cloud is that it allows you to make and utilize libraries amongst many users so that everyone is working with the same creative assets. If one thing updates in the library, it updates for everyone! Cons I wish Adobe Creative Cloud would be more compatible with other programs such as Google Slides or sheets and some of our other partners do not use Creative Cloud so it's an added step to share content with them. Cons I don't like the pay model they have for the software - instead of paying for a programming and having it, you now have to pay a monthly subscription fee and never own anything. However, if you find you don't need it anymore you will be charged a fee for canceling your subscription. I was able to get the fee waved, but you might not have the same experience. Pros This is the standard by which all other design, and editing software is compared to. Adobe has always had great products for designers and editors. What makes this product different is the ability to edit and store content on the cloud so you can access it and share it anywhere. This is great for doing collaborative projects. Cons The worst thing about this software is the subscription service. You used to be able to purchase Adobe products outright, but cannot do that anymore. Now you have to pay a monthly fee that adds up after a year or two to be more expensive than when you could just own it. Because of the subscription you need to have an internet connection periodically in order for it to get a verification code. This isn't good if you are using a machine that is supposed to be "offline" for doing some seriously proprietary work. Review Source Juan C. Cons We did have some issue with contacting support, at first. But the issue was resolved in a timely manner once our request had been received.
