Video Editor Media Production Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Adobe Creative Cloud Review" February 26, 2021 4.0 I use Adobe Creative Cloud regularly as my work circle is all most familiar with it and I am able to complete most of the task sof my video editing job on just the one software. Pros I like the functionality of all the different programs on this software working together in a smart manner. I personally use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop most often. When doing one video edit project, I can easily combine elements from the different programs. Cons I run into lots of glitches and crashes on these programs that often go unexplained. Cons Not sure if paying monthly & receiving updates is really be a better value than paying for a "version" of the product. Lightroom is the ideal tool for editing and can do almost all things Photoshop can do. Photoshop is more for graphic design. Pros I do like the low monthly price tag for the photography suite. I have Lightroom and Photoshop in my Adobe Creative Cloud and can add as many other programs as I would like for an additional charge. Adobe Creative Cloud basically serves as a hub I can go to to download my programs and update as needed. Cons It just seems to be yet another program to add to my desktop. But when that first year was up I couldn't believe how integrated my marketing business was tied to my go-to Adobe products. I truly is a time saver. I use it for creating client mock-ups and quick fixes. I'm not a designer by trade, but I know enough to get by. Cons Steep learning curve. Adobe is packing quite a punch with its software and it can be intimidating to any user. However, Adobe has so many resources to help you learn. Daily live videos and a tremendous tutorial library. It's easy t install, view edit and save pdf files. The quality of the pdf is also appreciable. Also, I like the pdf merging option. Cons The most unlikely thing about this pdf viewer is that it doesn't give users multiple editing and saving options as one can find in the Preview application of MAC OS. If only, it has options like adding or deleting specific pdf pages or edit with ease, it would be a more sophisticated and user-friendly pdf viewer software. Review Source Andy F. I highly recommend it for visual design tasks. Pros It offers lots of helpful tools for graphic design which I use, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. I mainly use Photoshop to create marketing images, such as email and blog headers. It turns a bland stock image into branded collateral. Cons Photoshop is a complex tool. There are third party training resources out there, but it would be nice if Adobe offered their own training programme (rather than just individual videos) and certificates. Review Source Patricia P. They are great! I use AE and Premiere on the daily as well as photoshop and illustrator, they work fantastic together and keep improving upon itself with every update. Switched from FCP and never looked back. Cons I still have an issue in CC 2018 trying to replace my Premiere comps into After Effects. The success rate is probably at 50% and the other half it fails to bring the content in, I'm sure there will be a fix but have been waiting for 6 months and its forced me to do workarounds. I can rely on the Creative Cloud to help me deliver exactly what I need to every time. Pros The wide array of programs to use will keep you busy and allow you to unleash your creative spirit. I use Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop and InDesign every week for my job. The programs work well together and that is a big perk for me. Cons Every program has its bugs and a service as large as Creative Cloud, there will be some lagging. For example, I export a lot of videos and Premiere crashes some what frequently. I empty my cache often, but it still happens enough to frustrate you. Usually a quit and restart fixes the problem enough to get going. Pros Access to everything you need in the work of Adobe. Very easy to get the most up-to-date software and just download a piece of software as and when you need it not having to worry about hard drive space. The days of long installation times and manual updates are gone! Cons Had a lot of troubles updating to the latest software using the cloud and logins, some of this is due to our work firewalls and security, however we did need Adobe's help in resolving this. If you are a digital artist, then Adobe has the right software for you. They are all extremely complete, full of tools for beginners and for experts, and you can see the high quality of the software. This, of course, will be reflected to the price that is quite expensive Cons The app itself is not expensive but all the software that come with it are. March 7, 2020 4.0 Pros There are around 28 numbers of desktop applications and variety of mobile applications equipped in this developed software Creative Cloud. We are using at least three to four applications for our day-to-day activities among those applications in our multiple creative center daily. Specially, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom are the applications help us to maintain our sanded in this creative world and otherwise we cannot beat our challengers, and we love that handy software CREATIVE CLOUD. Cons Lease price of some plans Adobe has been introduced are much higher than the older perpetual licenses and almost those annual plans are billed monthly but not only that there is no price guaranty of next renewable offer, and they won’t say anything about renewal charges some time it can be quite higher than that starting price. Application upgrading is not fair enough because of not every app on Adobe Creative Cloud are upgraded at the same rate. It has been a great product suite and it is easy to jump between the applications. Pros It is an industry standard software suite has solutions for almost any production needs. The subscription comes with all the apps that you will need (and many more most likely you will never use). For beginners and the ones want to improve their skills they have a great tutorial library and live sessions with industry leaders. Cons The new version of the Adobe Creative Cloud launched recently. There are multiple new great features, but the software wasn't tested good enough and came with so many bugs which make the production process harder. We also needed to combine all of the different adobe products our departments use and have them managed by the IT department. Adobe CC made the process of combining everything real easy. It allowed us better visibility on who has the licenses and what they actually use. This allowed us to cut total license costs, especially on a product such as Acrobat Pro. Pros We updated all of our licenses to the adobe CC - Process was clean and easy. Allocating licenses to our users was quick and simple. Administering and monitoring licenses and usage is a lot easier as well. Keeping everyone on the most current version of software from the auditing / compliance standpoint is easier as well Cons Cost. I miss being able to own the physical copy of the license.
