WARNING: Unauthorized Direct Debits and misleading software I have had nothing but trouble with this software. It is riddled with incorrect TPIs, missing details, and completely inaccurate information. On top of that, their promised 1–2 hour response time for information requests routinely takes incredibly long, causing massive delays to my daily work. However, the most shocking part is their billing practices. When I requested to cancel my subscription because the software does not perform as advertised, they refused. I took matters into my own hands and cancelled the Direct Debit through my bank. In response, this company used my financial details to set up a brand-new, unauthorized Direct Debit under a completely different name ("Chase") without my signature or consent to bypass the cancellation. This is a severe breach of UK financial regulations. I have reclaimed the stolen funds via the Direct Debit Guarantee and reported this unauthorized mandate. Avoid this company at all costs—they will manipulate your banking details if you try to leave.

Pros

Nothing to like as this was sold with empty promises. Incorrect TPIs incorrect information long wait times on requests on information that should have been on platform

Personally i think alldata has the right program, but i do believe that's some business tactics are gonna have to be learned on their part. Like I said, I have absolutely no issues with the program itself.It's great, awesome product highly supported.Just can't deal with the business tactics that they use. \[sensitive content hidden\] 1 has a similar product we will use. I hear their contracts don't change after signing them.

Pros

Alldata itself is very useful, in the week I had it, it was awesome. I liked the wire diagrams the most.

Cons

Ultimately i had to part ways with alldata due to a discrepancy with my contract with them. I am the fleet maintenance supervisor for an EMS agency. We signed a contract with alldata for a year to be paid at a set amount monthly on a friday and was charged that amount on that day. On monday we get another charge for a different amount. When i call to ask my alldata rep why the second charge, he proceeded to tell me since the EMS agency is a government entity that we have to change our (already signed) contract to be paid yearly. Although this is a private EMS service, not a government entity. In my opinion that is bad business, and we will not be using alldata any longer.

Well, I thought all data was gonna fulfill all of our needs. I didn't know they had bad business tactics tried to change the contract after I had already signed it, not gonna happen. We're going back to \[sensitive content hidden\] good thing we hadn't canceled with them yet.

My overall experience with ALLDATA was positive. It provided highly detailed and accurate OEM repair information that improved diagnostic confidence and repair quality. While it was a powerful tool for technicians, the cost and somewhat dated interface were minor drawbacks compared to the value it delivered in day-to-day automotive repair work.

Pros

What I liked most about ALLDATA was its comprehensive and reliable access to OEM repair information. It made it easy to find accurate service procedures, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic details, which helped improve repair accuracy and efficiency in automotive work.

Cons

What I liked least about ALLDATA was that it can be expensive, especially for smaller shops or independent technicians. The interface can also feel a bit dated and occasionally slow when navigating large amounts of technical data, which can interrupt workflow efficiency.

it gives quick access to clear, reliable repair information. When listed properly. The organized layout and detailed diagrams make it easier to understand complex systems, and having factory‑approved procedures all in one place helps repairs go more smoothly

Pros

helpful for car repair because it gives you accurate, factory‑approved information straight from the vehicle manufacturers. It includes repair steps, torque specs, wiring diagrams, and service details for many makes and models, old and new. The wiring diagrams are clear and easy to follow, which makes electrical work faster. It also provides Technical Service Bulletins and recall information so you can quickly see known issues. ALLDATA includes labor times and estimating tools that make it easier to create fair and consistent quotes. Since everything is well‑organized and easy to search, you spend less time looking for information and are more likely to fix the problem correctly the first time.

Cons

Certain models or years may have missing details, incomplete diagrams, or outdated information, especially on less common vehicles. The search function doesn’t always pull up what you need right away, so you may have to try different keywords.

It was ok. Not a great tool for if in a hurry. Software not a 100% accurate. Depth of coverage is thorough.

Pros

Very complete of OEM required repair procedures. Great wiring diagrams. Good bulletins for most makes and models

Cons

A costly investment steep learning curve and sometimes slow to load. Some Diagrams can be blurry support can be slow

I enjoy it a lot even though it is expensive i would say the Oem data benefits it since it provides a lot of information on analytics for compatability and monitor performance and it's coverage .

Pros

i like the oem data that allows me to track milage and its information on comapny factory direct repair and it's fast direct repair information

Cons

It is Pricey especially in smaller repair shops and the customer support is not reloiable a lot so that will present another issue .

Pros

My favorite part of AllData was the diagnostic software. If there is anyway I lack in working on vehicles, diagnostics is it. It truly helped me and broke it down to help better understand.

Cons

There is nothing I disliked about AllData. It has a very wide variety of vehicles, domestic and international.

My experience has been great. It is an essential tool for any serious mechanic. Despite the high price, the level of detail and reliable technical data makes every repair much faster and more professional.

Pros

I really like the massive database of accurate wiring diagrams and OEM repair procedures. It provides exactly what you need for complex diagnostics, saving a lot of time under the hood.

Cons

The search interface can feel a bit old and clunky. Sometimes it takes too many clicks to find a specific part location, and the subscription cost is quite high for smaller shops.

I thought is was desent until I started trying other software system, ARI and tekmetric, shop monkey,they were all a fraction of the price , way more features included .

Pros

Digital video inspection, was probably the only good part I enjoyed about ALLDATA, the shop manager program wasn’t very good, the price for everything they have is extremely overpriced. 400 plus dollars a month for basic features isn’t very good for a brand new shop .

Cons

Prices were way higher than any other shop manager program we found after researching more into the software for the auto industry.

I was interested in AllData for starting my own business. Spoke with an account manager and was told that I would have 30 days as a paid trial to make sure it would work for me. Nope, I signed up in Jan 2025 and ended being really slow and talked to my account manager about having to hold off until Spring or Summer when business would pick back up. He told me he never offered 30 days to cancel before being locked into a 1 year contract. He shows no compasion, when I'm struggling to pay the invoice his solution is to renew my contract for another year in exchange to helping me get out of my current. This isn't a great company and I would suggest going with a different company that isn't a grab all.

Pros

Great for finding issues and being able to trace the issue to fix it via diagrams or previous technicians that said what they did to fix their issue.

Cons

Billing and the account management. Both of them don't care about anyone but revenue. I would not use them ever again.
