Pros The final output of Milestones is great. You can create easy to read, easy to understand charts. Cons The learning curve for this software is tough. Its not an easy tool to just hop in and use. Pros The ability to quickly visualize project files, track changes from baselines or recent modifications, and most importantly make large project management files actually visually comprehensible and fit on individual printed sheets is often invaluable. Once a schema that works is figured out, it's also quite easy to make a variety of tailored views which can capture different aspects of a project, and in many regards these views have supplanted use of the MS Project files which they pull data from. Really difficult to adequately state how much value added this capability adds . Cons Documentation is excellent overall, but spread across numerous channels. The Milestones product manual is comprehensive, but not laid out as a 'how-to' guide, so much as a troubleshooting and deeper functionality manual.
