I am not a fan of some of the changes to hot schedules, but overall it is useful! It would be great to do in house trainings so all staff can be up to date on use.

Pros

It makes schedule switches very easy

Cons

The interface is complicated and it is difficult to see when I have messages.

Overall, not too bad. Could have been better. For what you pay, I expected a bit more functionality. Cannot leave notes on staff or update different training tiers that they have completed. We have recently switched our scheduling platform.

Pros

Software makes scheduling easy for me and for my staff. Staff can request off time which managers have to approve. Our rep was able to customize some things for us, which is great! We spent a LOT of time trying to customize things for how we operated.

Cons

Pricey, for what you get. Staff have the option to "Request time off" and "Request unpaid time off"...one sends me a notification, one does not. Not sure why?

Overall I had a great experience using HotSchedules, it is very easy to use.

Pros

The most desirable aspect of this software is the ease of being able to check your schedule online and not having to go into work.

Cons

The only complaint I have about using this software is that there is no way to know if the person you sent a message to saw the message

I love it. I love when any restaurant that I’ve worked at uses it. You can drop and pickup shifts. Send messages to and from managers and team members. I always have access to my schedule 24/7

Pros

It’s very easy to use. I have access to my schedule 24/7. I can communicate with my managers effectively.

Cons

I had a little bit of difficulty trying to update my availability. I tried to do it from my phone, but ended up having to do it from my computer.

Pros

I like the fact i dont have to call my job or text my managers for anything. I can switch shifts easiy with coworkers.

Cons

There isnt too much not to like. The security measures can be a bit excessive but id refer it that way then the other option.

Pros

The user friendly interface was not only a bonus for the user on the employee end but also for me as the administrator.

Cons

Some of the SCHOOX (TRAIN) product was too rigid for creative thought. It would be nice if the team was able to post pics from the mobile app so we can get real time photos and videos that could later be turned into training material

Pros

Hot schedules is something every company should have! I really like how employees can trade shifts and always have acess to pick up extra shifts.

Cons

Hot Schedules rarely every has any issues, I seriously cant say anythign negative about it. Every employer should have it!

Pros

I love Hotschedules functionality and ability to adapt to its Customers' needs. I have seen the evolution of Hotschedules over the years and the product continues to not disappoint.

Cons

The smoothness of the software through the use of a browser.

Pros

I absolutely loved HotSchedules!!! It was so easy to use, and so convenient to see my schedule in real time! It was also great to be able to send messages back and forth with other employees or mass emails for shift coverage. HotSchedules made my life as a server SO much easier and convenient!

Cons

There isn't much to complain about with HotSchedules. If I was going to suggest any change, it would maybe be to spruce it up a bit so it's a little more colorful. My schedule and messages were always in grey and black. Color isn't necessary, but it is a little more appealing.

I love hot schedules and I love even more that they have a mobile app, its a life saver!

Pros

I like that it's so easy not only for management but for employees. We can send information at the touch of a button and they're able to manage their schedule and alert us of issues.

Cons

I would make it easier to make daily notes to alert other management when events are happening so they can adjust staffing.

Pros

Great first to make product some of the interernal products are great for managers

Cons

Great first to market product, the cost for users/ employees could easily deter employees from using the product if they have to pay to use the mobile app. Isn't that why we make these apps? Now you want to charge your employees to see there schedule?

Overall, I've always loved HS. Easy to use and teach.

Pros

Easy to interact with staff. Keep accountability in the hands of staff. Easy to use. Easy to train staff on.

Cons

Sometimes the updates make scheduling difficult. Also, we are trying to switch the day that our work week starts and they make it difficult because you have to have two weeks of schedules out before they'll do it for you.

It really helps with communication with your staff they have the availability to check their schedule any time. You can also eliminate early clock-ins

Cons

Inability to update the template, having to resave a schedule instead of just adjusting the template. Having to put in the password all the time on my office computer. Need an option for a "keep me signed in on this computer and only ask for passwords when making a change

Bad. We are discontinuing in all four of our restaurants

Pros

i really don't like the product at all because of the cost

Cons

Can't drag and drop. Times out to quick. Everyone should be able to see everyones schedule without giving them other schedule permissions. You can't copy and paste specific employees from one week to the next without erasing other employees. Cost is ridiculous

It does what it is supposed to do but it doesn't have much value in terms of in-app longevity.

Pros

Simple and does what the app is supposed to do. It's easy to find my restaurant shifts and switch with coworkers.

Cons

It's pretty much remained the same since it's release. There's a lot more that can be done with this type of app and it's not happening.

Overall, I would definitely recommend HotSchedules to other businesses to manage their employee schedules.

Pros

What I liked most about HotSchedules is how user-friendly it was to use. It also made the process of posting schedules to staff and accessing so much easier!

Cons

The only con that I have is that the employee has to pay to download the application. Other than that, no complaints!

I would like to see an option to add special event to the schedule calendar. This would help us as a reminder to adjust schedule to accommodate for the increase or decease of business. Also it would provide historical data for future budget/forecasting.

Pros

\-It's available in a smart phone app -employees are able submit days off for approval -forecasting

Overall we have been very happy with all aspects of HotSchedules.

Pros

Very user-friendly and intuitive system for both hourly employees and managers.

Cons

Inability to have the same manager account/login for multiple restaurant entities. We have multiple mgrs. in our org. who split time overseeing 2 restaurants. It would be much easier if they did not have to have multiple HS accounts and logins to remember.

Pros

I think hot schedules was especially beneficial to the restaurant life as it allowed for real time shift changes, picking up shifts or switching shifts with someone. It also allowed me to message my managers directly.

Cons

I think the only con would be the processing time between requests that only allows for certain people to approve requests for changes.

I can forecast and track labor with ease. Hot schedules in intergraded with our pos so sales/ labor is updated daily

Pros

I like the way it is intergraded with our daily pos system which makes it possible for me to track things like labor.

Cons

Scheduling is a bit troublesome sometimes do to the icons on the lower right of the boxes. Forecasting could be made a bit easier to use.

Pros

My favorite thing about this program is the ability to release and pick up shifts. You can even message co-workers on the software.

Cons

Sometimes the app will glitch or freeze. However overall, Hotschedules is user friendly and their customer support is great.
