Easy to use, good reviews from staff and manangement. Worth the investment of time and money to get started

Pros

User friendly, lots of reporting capabilities, mobile app available. Helpful for budgets, forecasts, execution

Cons

Mobile app doesnt have all the features i used daily. A little more expensive then others. Some reports should be on a main screen, for quick view.

All I need to do because I am a user, not a administrator of the product is 4 or 6 number digit. It’s convenient for me.

Pros

I’ve had to use this product because of work and in the last two years, 90 percent of my employers use it.

Cons

Something I didn’t like about this product I it’s that it is a little complicated to use, an DV it takes sometime to get used to it.

I called a representative upon my neighbor's advice and explained what I needed. I was opening a business at the time and hiring 30 employees, all with varying schedule restrictions and capabilities. I wanted to enter their names, the times they are unavailable, the classes they could teach, and then click a button. What I expected to happen was to see the different scheduling scenarios available, based on the constraints I entered. I was told the system could do that for me. It couldn't, and it didn't, which I reported. Once I requested to cancel my contract, I was instructed to follow their online procedures, which I did. However, they refuse to cancel my contract or refund any of the monthly fees they've collected while I have NOT EVEN BEEN USING THE SYSTEM. HotSchedules has trapped me and my money for a full year for a system that I have no use for whatsoever. I was led into a trap and get angrier each time they send me a monthly invoice. What a terrible way to treat people you can't even help.

Pros

Nothing from my standpoint. It would work well for someone else.

Cons

There are instructions to cancel your contract but HotSchedules is not honoring their own procedure, which was published on their website.

Cons

Expensive. They quietly lock you into a contract to pay them monthly fees, even after you learn that their software is terrible and does not help your staff scheduling duties. The installation took many days, and was filled with one problem after another. The product is overly complicated and confusing. THEY MAKE YOUR EMPLOYEES PAY FOR THE MOBILE APP!!!!! Yes, you read that right, your employees will have to pay to get the app. Another con is that you actually have to print up a page with the invite for each employee to sign up for the schedule app. There are many other options available on the web and for tablets.

Overall, I really loved my experience with HotSchedules. It was a great program for me to know when and what shifts I was working.

Pros

I loved the mobile phone interface that HotSchedules had. Very simple, easy to read, and easy to connect with my manager for clarifications or changes.

Cons

There were a few instances where some features required me to go back pages in order to do what I needed to get to. Maybe there could be a universal toolbar with the most popular/used features on each page for easier access.

Horrible experience, cannot get customer service to assist us in restarting service that has been interupted or correct verification processes. Delaying our hiring process and reopening of business.

Pros

Nothing. Cant get a call back or help with issues.

Cons

Customer service is terrible. I have emailed and called about 3 open tickets and no one will call me back or respond.

The interface is extremely simple and extremely effective in scheduling the work hours of an exceptionally large team. Never glitchy, always reliable. Laptop or App are both super functional.

Hands down, the best part of this software is that I can go back and get my w2s. It is easy to log in and submit time and cover shifts, but I have never worked anywhere else that had software that I could go back years and get w2s.

Cons

Nothing, this has been my favorite software to use of all the places I've worked.

Mediocre. It gets the job done, but if you’re looking for above and beyond don’t expect.

Pros

Easily shows everyone’s schedule for the week published. Which makes it really easy for employees to discuss amongst themselves when and if they can swap before asking a manager. It allows for self efficiency.

Cons

You cannot see other employees availability, which was once available. Upon asking tech service why they removed the ability for employees to see other employees availability they told me it was my computer, even though it was on everyone’s screen. The lack of help and the ability for managers to override an employees set unavailability makes the program dangerous inefficient.

Perfect. Simple. I'm keeping it. Even the employees are happy.

Pros

Not only can you schedule employees, but you can communicate through email blasts, find replacements for shifts, and make necessary changes effortlessly.

Cons

It allows access to the contact info for anyone who has allowed as such in their settings, which can get a little crazy. When you text a contact, they have no idea who you are unless you tell them. Things are a little sketchy for have a second. :) Other than that, in order for the staff to get the app, they do have to pay a one-time fee.

Pros

Ease of use. It is very user friendly. It is updated regularly and offers training applications to instruct on new updates

Cons

It often freezes or becomes unresponsive at random times of the day. The house shift option is also very touchy.

Pros

Customiable roles per employee. That the software does not delete terminated employees from the system.

Cons

It can be glitchy and does not always update in real time when multiple administrators are using.

Cons

Pros

It's a great way to communicate between coworkers, on top of scheduling, time off, etc. It's well organized and easy to navigate.

Cons

I've personally never run into any problems using this software, and I would continue to use it in the future.

Pros

The accessibility was it is biggest pro. Being able to login to this application from anywhere and pickup or release shifts was great. I also loved that once a schedule was released, I would get a text notification of my upcoming shifts and the app also showed when my alcohol certification would expire.

Cons

There were no cons to this app. I really think this app is very beneficial to have. The only thing that I would change is for the app to document the clock in and out times.

Would not recommend...............................

Pros

That the crew can request time off digitally. And can check for OT in Real time...other than that not much more. Like that customer service is quick to answer any questions.

Cons

That it goes by job title. If you give an increase you have to give that employee that increase for each job title. I don’t care for the color coding. It’s too close and difficult to differentiate. Too much information that is not necessary. Can not check time punches in real time. You have to wait till the next day. You can’t monitor labor hour by hour. Labor is not compatible with Altametrics.

There are so many features to talk about I could write a book. It took me less time to right schedules, forecasting gave me an idea how many employees Id need at given areas around the restaurant and really left the guess work out of it.

Pros

Ties in with inventory and POS software to establish patterns in business and gives you Forecasting on volume of business to help with your scheduling needs.

Cons

Its expensive. Especially if you want all the major features. But you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, its worth the leap.

Hotschedules has the ability to keep everything in on location in terms ignored messaging, staffing, and forecasting.

Cons

Over the last four years there have been many updates which were supposed to be convenient but instead have made the web based program very difficult to use.

Hotschedules has made scheduling and forecasting MUCH easier. We are just a small business and the service they provide for the value is outstanding. Scheduling takes hours less than it used to and being able to look at the sales, labor, and other projection really helps us. Great service!

Pros

Great reporting and review. Awesome scheduling at ability to forecast sales and labor.

Cons

Not much honestly. The customer service is sometimes a little hard to get ahold of, and during maintenance or peak hours it can sometimes be hard to access the servers.

Facilidad de uso desde el primer momento en el que integras el programa. Funciona de manera automatizada, de manera que si los empleados cambian el turno, no tienes que preocuparte de hacer ningun cambio manual.

Cons

El único inconveniente es que los trabajadores tienen que pagar por agregar el programa al teléfono.

Made me more efficient at ensuring that I ran accurate reports for the DM'S

Pros

I have worked in the restaurant industry and this allows for easy scheduling and payroll management for my employees and it's simple to use. Furthermore if you are using e-learning this software teams up well with Schoox \*LMS\* in order to provide courses for my staff. They can easily take their courses the day they start working because the system auto enrolls them into their courses while allowing them to know their shift schedule.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve associated with hot schedules because of the different options but it's great regardless.

The ease of integration with a Google calendar, the ability to have my schedule in my pocket (via my phone) at all times and the ability to stay connected with the happenings at work while I wasn't there.

Pros

The integration with my Google calendar is seamless and easy, the messaging function allows for professional communication amongst the entire staff and the ability to swap shifts without needing to go through a manager directly.

Cons

You could only see the full schedule for the week with everyone on it on a computer, not on a phone, and I primarily used the app on my phone.
