Teacher Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Keeping the Children Safe...and Managed" November 9, 2021 5.0 Overall, I was really happy with the overall experience that I had while using Vector. My school system moved on fairly quickly but I wish we would move back to it. Pros The positive aspects of Vector (when used in a school atmosphere) is that it is very user-friendly and the data that Vector provides is quite in-depth. The data is easily manageable but still provides enough insight to be usable. Cons There aren't too many cons about using Vector as a managing service for schools (which, again, is how I used the program). The price was considerable but, at the end of the day, I do not know if you are going to be able to find a service that is cheaper that provides a solid user interface or one that collects the data is as an effective way. We've been using it for over a year now and are still finding new ways to leverage the system to benefit our programs Pros Great software package containing the 'frequent flyers' of HSE Management. The Industrial Hygiene section is a great feature that is not commonly found in other solutions. Scheduling tasks and events helps keep the HSE team on track. Used for a few years, but wasnt apart of set up. Not sure how smooth that was. Pros Was easy to submit claims, workers comp, and very easy to track data. Used for a few years would recommend. EHS Consultant Oil & Energy Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Deceptive - Waste of time and money" August 26, 2019 1.0 Customer support follows a script, which means they have no idea how the software actually works. Their development team seems to be overseas and thrid-party, so when needing answers or assistance on customization or glitches in their system, no one can assist. We spent a lot of time and money on setting up the system and creating forms within the modules, which put us over budget for this project. Industry Safe is set up to require the user to pay extra for any additional assistance, which is deceptive and unethical. I would not recommend this platform to anyone. Pros I was sold on the "idea" of this software. Cons Set up time was long and costly. There were several glitches in their system that prevented us from using and updating forms in a timely manner. The sales team lied about the available features. After purchasing the software, I was told that vehicle and equipment info could be entered, but no reports could be generated because they "currently do not have that feature." Had I been told the truth prior to purchase, I would not have purchased a 1-year subscription. Other features that we have used like the JSA, Observations, and Inspections have been used, but the analytics have not been fully functional. What we ended up with is a platform that stores data but cannot run a report to show me anything of substance. We are not renewing our subscription and are trying to transfer our data to another platform. However, Industry Safe is not allowing us to pull our complete data. They said if that were possible, there would be a fee for each form - be we can always print out each form we ever created! I would not have been able to manage it all with out it. Pros The program is very easy to use and is integral in creating our culture of Safety. Cons We do have to import our hours from our payroll system. I would like to see this feature be a bit more seamless. It was nice being able to run the software from my phone, tablet or laptop. Pros I never had any software issues with this program. It was simple to use and was excellent for in-depth medical reporting. It was also an excellent software to track reports/ trends. I loved being able to pull pie charts of injuries. I also like the way the software integrates our OSHA and DOT reporting to ensure we are asking the correct questions and documenting accordingy. Pros The features I like the most are the ability to customize almost all forms to suit our needs. Since our business is an amalgam of different business types, it is often difficult to find a product to suit our needs. This ability has made the software work for us, with minimum effort. I also like that the OSHA and DOT forms are auto generated. This makes reporting easy, and not tedious. Cons Reporting can be somewhat confusing to use. While I really like and appreciate that you can report on all fields, it would be helpful to have a few more "basic" built in reports. I would also like to see more tutorials written for utilizing the reporting section of this product. I would also like to see multi-select fields on a form for even more data. This would help collect all the applicable info needed. Reason for choosing Vector EHS Management Before we were using a home grown application that we had outgrown. Review Source SB Sabine B. Helps when asked to supply statistics and create reports for upper managemnt. Pros Having the management input the initial report and be able to attach back up is key. They don't have to print out a report, hand write it, scan and send it in any more. Once they have input the report, an alert is sent to the person handling the claims process as well as any other designated management personnel. Cons Some of the labeling is confusing - the flag that something is OSHA recordable should disappear if a claim has been denied or found not to be work related after all. Reason for choosing Vector EHS Management For the money it gave us what we needed to track incidents and claims in a consistent fashion. " March 28, 2018 5.0 This gave us a professional safety management system which combined numerous documents, systems, and other legacy methods into one standardized operating system. A truly useful tool. Pros Prior to having this software, our safety system was a confluence of excel sheets, word documents, and various files strewn across the company network. It was somewhat organized, somewhat chaotic. We used one system for recording observations, word documents and paper for recording training, and we didn't really have any form of "safety dashboard." This software gives us a platform to manage all of that in one place. observations, incidents, near miss data, training records, ect etc etc... It's all in one place and can be accessed at any time. Reporting becomes professional and concise. It'a a great tool and a must have for professional safety management. Cons The only con is that we didn't have it earlier. We went for years managing paper and disorder. The system itself does what it's designed to do. Cons A bit cumbersome at times in terms of implementation and customization of the platform. Learning Management Services Coordinator Used the software for: ### "We are very impressed with the software, the costs and with the support we have received" December 17, 2015 5.0 We are going live with the Observation and Home modules on January 4th 2016 and have a plan scheduled to implement the JSA, Incidents, Hazards, Inspections, Training, & Corrective Action modules by the end of the third quarter 2016. We initially purchased IndustrySafe in the fall of 2014 but with management and process changes we have made multiple changes in how we will use IndustrySafe. Through this the IndustrySafe team has been incredibly patient and supportive of these changes. We are excited about the product and certain this software will help drive us to our Safety Mission of Zero Incidents! Josh has been an incredible resource for us in making sure we are using the modules to the fullest and using them in the most productive way for OPPD. Josh's response and the response of his team couldn't be better. I have had to work with other support teams with other vendors in the past and they do not come close to the support we get from IndustrySafe. My only con, and I am not sure I would call it a con, would be with reporting. I like that we can get just about everything we need out of the log reports but I am not particularly fond of the format and the fact that it is a bit complicated to get summary reports. I am currently working with trying to get some reporting out of our Management Observation checklist but I think because it is built on the alternate form I get no results from the canned reports. I think this is something we can work through but it will take some time to get the reports built.
