Pros
Very practical, easy to use, students that need for example max-diff or conjoint love it, it provides them with a tool that really helps them in their graduation project.
I liked the survey analysis tool best from this software. The process of making the survey was easy and straight forward but the analysis tools are very useful.
Undoubtedly the best tool for conjoint analysis. The available features are comprehensive.
Other pros include features like the maxDiff analyzer which has the Turf Analysis, which everyone seems to love.

Also, once in a while the MaxDiff module occasionally got stuck if I tried to make an edit. The survey keeps reloading and I have to close out the browser and log back in to get it unstuck.
Also the look of the survey is very dull. M not sure if that’s on purpose or not.
So far, I have yet to find any issues with the use of the software that I find problematic.
Maxdiff max of 30 options seemed too low. Unless there is a reason 30 is the max it seemed to cap us unnecessarily.
"Simplicity you can trust"
Overall: Overall, great product. Many advanced features exist but they are nicely tucked away so that you can learn and use the techniques more readily.
Pros: Easy to learn, hard to break, methods I trust
Cons: I'm sure it is good practice to log me out automatically after a period of inactivity but I would like the option to extend the period a bit. I'm often spending a fair amount of time thinking or investigating an option and I get logged out a lot. It's not a big deal but certainly noticeable to me. "Great Survey Tool for the Money That's Regularly Updated and Improved"
Overall: I really enjoy the whole body of literature available within the Sawtooth site. It seems there's no question we've asked that someone else hasn't already asked and for which there is a clear and concise answer already available within the technical papers or forums. The support team is really helpful and responsive as well.
Pros: Discover is a great online survey tool for general interview questions, but especially for MaxDiff and conjoint. The platform is intuitive and the conjoint analysis is very easy to understand compared with other survey tools. You can't find another platform that offers conjoint with this level of quality at this price. And I like that Discover is regularly updated with new features. It has been a great tool for us!
Cons: Integrating a Discover survey with an outside panel or another survey can be a process, but it's easier now than it used to be. The support team is really helpful for that. The biggest limitation for us is that we can't distribute the survey by email within the Discover platform and need to use an outside party. But once you have that arrangement set up, integration with Discover is fairly easy.

Overall: Overall the data is useful but creating the survey to get there is tough.
Pros: The CBC questions without a doubt are most helpful
Cons: Rearranging questions and question dependency is not an easy thing to do. Google forms has an easy logic flow for these questions. Also the look of the survey is very dull. I’m not sure if that’s on purpose or not.
"Excellent Product for Light Market Research Use"
Overall: Overall, it's a great tool. Easy to use, but we needed more horsepower and the LCA.
Pros: I love the intuitive and easy to use nature of Discover. It makes it so that anyone can start doing quant analysis. It's almost idiot proof, since it recommends things like sample size, which really helps as far as being able to delegate survey design to others on my team. Other pros include features like the maxDiff analyzer which has the Turf Analysis, which everyone seems to love.
Cons: I ultimately had to upgrade to Lighthouse Studio because of the nature of our business. We have to do very complex CBC questions with quite a few attributes. This complication as well as skip logic needed for co-fielding (discover might do that, to be honest, but I didn't try), make it simpler to just go to Lighthouse. I also with that Discover could do LCA Segmentation. I feel like that's an absolute must have.
"Excellent platform for conjoint studies"
Overall: I am very happy with Discover. I have been using it to teach design courses (with a market research flavor) for over a decade, and Discover eases much of the burden that we used to have with Lighthouse (especially with uploading and hosting). Great product that I recommend!
Pros: The most important feature is the market-leading conjoint analysis capabilities, for which there are no peers. Over the past couple of years, Sawtooth has made the Discover platform easier and more powerful, which reduces the effort needed from me to use and teach the techniques to others.
Cons: It would be helpful for Sawtooth to provide short (2-5 minute) video tutorials for how to use certain features (e.g., setting up a CBC study, analyzing CBC results, using the market simulator).
