Once you know how to use it, the experience gets better and easier. Pros I like that Procore is a one stop shop for all things related to a construction project. It can be used from the bid process all the way through pay applications. Cons Procore is a bit clunky and not always easy to use. Each company we work with seems to have Procore set up a bit different which makes it difficult to navigate at times. Keeping it more universal could be helpful. Review Source Joshua R. Having the ability to access the inclusions of one of my subcontract while sitting in my recliner is a huge positive. Pair it with CMiC and you are set when it comes to documenting all projects. Pros The best part of Procore is having all RFI's, Submittals (and Responses), Drawings, Specification, and Photos all in the same place. Every user also has the ability to save reports, permits, contracts, etc within the folders located in each project. Access to your project with any device is a necessity and Procore makes it easy to view files when you are not at your desk. Cons As far as I know, I cannot record changes for each project. It would be nice to be able to have a proposed change or change order log. Other than that, I really enjoy the application. Review Source MB Matthew B. One shot solution to get approval of drawing from different authorities. Pros Procore makes the coordination process very much smooth. While working worldwide and with different consultant engineering companies, service coordination is some what difficult but we can assign coordination issues directly through procore and track it easily. The dashboard is incredibly handy Pros he organization and tracking of construction documents, drawing tools, RFI's, tracking of submittals, trade contact information based on the project. Scheduling is amazing and easy to track delays via change orders, weather, or whatever occurs, The support centre is always available to answer any questions and you can do that via a live chat or the phone. They really have the customer and customer satisfaction in mind Cons The accounting system for Canada needs some work. The GST is not an automatic calculation and needs to have a line within the budget to be processed. " February 13, 2018 5.0 We did not have a PM software so this greatly changed the way our company works. We run more efficiently and have increased our transparency. Pros Very easy to use and very easy to share information. Allows us to efficiently maintain and track all documents on the project. The RFI tool and punch list tool have helped us stay more organized and cut down the response times and completion times for each task. Cons Sometimes the updates come too fast. just when you get use to a certain way it changes. However, the monthly Procore update webinar has help limit the confusions with the updates. Other than that I would not change a thing. Pros The ability to manage projects in a single place and assign staff to the specific projects as well as permissions. Also, the unlimited disk space for the project files is also a nice addition and one less thing required. Cons The software/website itself need to implement Two Factor authentication so all the data has the extra level of security, it also stops any confidential data being added due to the risk. Procore allows for complete team collaboration and an easy way for all information pertaining to a project to be in one spot. Procore gives one medium to enter information into, preventing user from using multiple different programs and filing systems. I've personally had a lot of experience with construction management software (actually working for on at one as well) and Procore is steps ahead of others within the market. I would recommend Procore to any professional in the construction industry. Cons The one con that I have is, it can be overwhelming to get started and learn how to use Procore because there are so many capabilities of the program. There are quick training/certification courses that can be taken that are helpful but maybe a more in-depth training module that walks through the life cycle of a project. Pros I like that you can log in from any device, computer, tablet and even phone. Cons I am a huge fan of custom reports. However, the only columns available to use are Procore’s. We have custom fields that we use for our subcontract agreement and PO and those fields to not populate as a column we can use in our custom report. It would be great if the custom reports applied all the fields within a company’s subcontract/PO without having to pay for Procore to create a custom report for your specific company. Also, it would be nice if you can paste a snippet of a picture within the body of an email. I also noticed that emails in Procore always adds an extra space between sentences. If you're looking to start a construction management firm or looking to switch from a software, Procore is for you if you can overlook the price tag. Pros Procore offers construction managers ease of communication between sub vendors and CM's within a centralized project room. Schedules, change orders, messages, and updates are all centralized for clear communication during the construction process. Cons Procore is a great software but it is pricey. Pros It is easy for submittals and revisions. Just drag and drop. Nice for finding the status of RFIs etc as well. Cons It is not the easiest when it comes to downloading addendums and ASK drawings. Pros I love being able to add anyone to the directory and they immediately have access to the whole project. It makes it a very smooth transition for anyone joining in the middle of a project. Being able to edit drawings and show all current revisions is very convenient. Inspections tab is also very useful tool for me, as well as the ability to track daily activities, even timecard information. Also nice to have mobile capabilities. Cons I'm not sure this is a con, but it would be nice to have some sort of integration capability with QuickBooks. Sometimes it feels as though doing double the work taking information from QB and entering into Procore, and the other way around. Also, I would like the ability to add new users to a project from the mobile app. I often get requests for access while in the field and have to just make note and enter when I am back at my desk, which is often some long amount of time later. Very safe and secure Cons The meeting minutes section is very clunky and hard to use, the only cons I got till now. Otherwise, it is very useful. Pros I like the ease of use and intuitive design that is ever improving. Automated workflows make my life a lot easier when put to use. I like the interconnection between Drawings, Specs, Locations, RFI's, Submittals, Cost Codes, and Photos. Everything has a place but everything connects together when needed. Procore gets feedback from real contractors and heads their advice. Cons The e-mails that come through are still a bit confusing. The longest I've ever waited for an answer to my question is approximately 5 minutes. Their customer service team not only wants you to use their product, they want you to succeed in whatever you're trying to accomplish with it. They make sure you're actually satisfied with the results, rather than just a bridge to get to whatever you need. Cons What I like least about Procore is the time it takes for them to upgrade tools. Customer service is responsive and their help can usually solve any issues without assistance. Being web based makes for ease of use as well. Pros it is easy to use. It keeps our Projects organized and we can keep subcontractors up to date on changes. Cons We tried using the bidding module but it's not up to par with what we were already using.
