It is an invaluable tool to run the complicated jobs that we build. Pros Documentation and plan management aspects are great. It allows the entire team to be on the same page and tracks/ manages all key documents. Cons Restricted format of reports. We have been using this software for 8 years now. Pros Customer Support is top notch! You can Either go directly to a live chat with a reprehensive or reach out to the support center and they most always answer your question or show you how to accomplish your task. Cons That you are unable to "edit" an email. It is inconvenient to have to inactive a user just to change their email address. Pros Procore has good customer support, is easy to use and is a good value for the money. I never experienced any bugs or issues. Cons Procore has a lot of features and selection it can be overwhelming at first in terms of how the software is presented. I think the PCO step and Change Event step are redundant and one should be eliminated which would make the system a lot more efficient on user level. Pros I like the submittal and RFI features in Procore. It's really easy to sort quickly which is helpful walking on the jobsite. Cons Financial management is convoluted and requires too many steps. If a user has to edit an older change order for some reason, all subsequent change order statuses need to be edited which is a big waste of productive time. I actively avoid using Procore and it's use on a project will keep me from quoting that project. Pros There is nothing I like about Procore. I would rather that contractors use ANY OTHER project management software. Why would anyone pay to use this awful wsite? Cons So many things wrong with Procore! It makes me change my password too often - every 3 months! Why? Is someone going to steal my password and log on to do my work for me? It's not a financial site and it does not need a new password! Also, when I do manage to log on (always a huge chore) the interface is completely non-intuitive. It's very difficult to find what I need. Why pull downs with topics that make no sense? Why is it so many steps to get to newly released drawings? I cannot figure out why so many people use this site for project management! It must be way cheaper than the competition. Companies that pay for Procore please take note - using Procore for your projects makes me less likely to quote those projects! Review Source Paul F. In the field the plans at your finger tips along with the knowledge that all of our subcontractors and suppliers are working off the most recent updates. The ability the mark RFIs, ASIs and changes right to the plan. Using the daily log with the various tools is a nice feature that is also a time saver, along with the calls logged feature. Emailing information and plan pages ect out directly is great. With the system being updated constantly and new features being added regularly, makes the system invaluable. Review Source DB Daryl B. June 24, 2025 5.0 Procore took the hassle out of coordinating between our office, yard and site managers. It eliminated back-and-forth and made us proactive about delays important for equipment scheduling, and maximizing turnover of rental. Pros We use Procore to manage our rental equipment dispatches associated with larger construction projects. It provides a common interface where our team and our customers can monitor jobs, documents, and change orders, all updated in real time. Cons Training is required in order to get all parties in alignment and that can be challenging, especially for subcontractors new to digital tools. Pros Easy sharing of info on project minutes and testing reports. Is also very helpful for request for proposals. Cons Users not aware they need to follow up on shop drawing reviews. New users will need some sort of training but should catch on easily. Huge improvements in user productivity. We couldn't do what we do as efficiently or effectively without it. Major change to the business. Pros As the IT manager, I love the fact that it is cloud based and I don't ever have to worry about a Windows update to a server or a firewall bug creating a problem for 30 - 100 people shutting down all the projects. Even with a Terminal Server Farm, there are still single points of failure that are cost-prohibitive for a small GC to pay for. Cons I think the financial integration is the most troublesome feature. This has never been an issue that any software vendor has been able to fix though. Even the very high end systems require significant customizations in order to fit any organization. Construction folks are reluctant to have to "do more work" than they already have to. Asking people to take on a new piece of technology is like pulling teeth. Pros its very good for handling all the information require to oversee and manage a project, we upload a lot of important documents into the system which is then used throughout each project. Cons at time the system can be quite slow and hard to navigate, its hard to filter each category and just the general running can be slow. Pros Procore allow us to access an extensive construction database to select materials and then use its digital takeoff feature to efficiently estimate material and labour cost. In addition, it streamlines our bidding process by enabling us to effortlessly create bids using the estimates calculated. Procore provide us with visibility into project progress and enable us track daily project activities helping us to assign and manage tasks and effectively allocate equipments and resources . Also it has made it easy for our teams to manage and access project information, latest versions of construction drawings and project photos from one central location. It is easy to navigate between variety of projects, and I've rarely had technical issues with the software. Pros I like that I can easily navigate between variety of projects. Procore makes it easy to stay compliant with different requirements and contractors. Cons It seems like my user experience varies based on the functionality of the GC. I don't like how time consuming preparing a pay application is compared to other software like GCPay and Textura. I have to input the billing, export a PDF, sign it manually, and then reupload the signed pay application and waiverss. If you have a smaller firm look the other way because its overkill. It's a great package overall, but the cost justification was just too great. Pros Procore is a very comprehensive construction management package. It has it all - project management, document management and a fantastic estimating toolbox. Cons The price - Procore is by far, the most expensive solution that we reviewed. While it more than ticked the tickboxes in terms of functionality, the value for money just wasn't there and ultimately, we went with another solution. The product is so easy to use that I'm sure most 4th graders could teach anyone how to use. If you don't have a teacher then you can get Procore Certified through their do-as-you-please training videos that can be accessed within the product. You can access your project plans, to do lists, progress reports, anything project related from any computer/phone/tab. The guys on the job can never have an excuse for not having current plans because of it's all there at your fingertips. Pros There are so many positives for this software. It used to be tedious to search through CCD's and Addendums to try and find the most current print, but Procore does it for you. It knows which one is most current and makes it easily accessible. Change orders are simply. Unlimited cloud storage. Communication is so smooth and everyone gets notified. So many tools within Procore that just make managing your project easier. Cons The only thing I don't like is that this product is not free. LOL. But then again, something this awesome should not be free.
