### "Basecamp User - Keeps me on Track"

May 24, 2022

5.0

My experience with basecamp has been good, it took me a few weeks to get used to it but once I did, I appreciate the software and feel strongly it keeps me on track.

Pros

I tend to not be very organized. Basecamp helps ensure I stay organized during my day/week and keeps me on track.

Cons

Sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming because we require weekly updates on every task.

### "Basecamp"

September 29, 2022

4.0

Pros

I liked how easy it was to manipulate projects and use all features, a handful of features, or just the bare minimum to get the job done. It is a great way to keep everything in one place and it is easy to use and navigate.

Cons

There is a lot of manual entry for new employees to be added, the organization that I worked with while using this product did not have an integration system which would be worth looking into if you have a large team with high turnover, if Basecamp allows.

### "Great product to collaborate and manage projects with a big team"

August 31, 2023

4.0

Pros

I enjoyed that if I had a question or needed a process document regarding our new processes, I was able to go on Basecamp and find what I needed like a shared drive. Love that it's web based.

Cons

I've used other softwares that are a bit better in terms of task management, but this has been useful for what we need for our project

### "Basecamp Review"

April 11, 2019

5.0

Basecamp has changed the way that we approach a project, but in a very positive way. It's made working on a project easier, since we can now upload all of our relevant files, pics or any other data pertaining to that project instead of using dropbox or google drive, straight into Basecamp and it's available to be viewed by any of the team members, provided that they have been added to the same project. Basecamp has even changed how we interact with each other at the office, since we use the chat feature on Basecamp, appropriately named campfire. It's essentially a chat room where we can send each other what is known as 'pings' so we don't need a separate instant messaging service to chat to each other. We even share videos and use emojis in our pings or chats in Basecamp. I like that Basecamp is so easy to use, the availability of project information and the overall friendliness of it which makes the software really nice to use too.

Pros

What I really like about using Basecamp is that it has tons of practical features, such as the message board and the calendar. These two features in itself is very useful to use, since it eliminates the use of other, outside apps and has combined it all under one 'base' camp. The message board is fantastic because we don't have to write out an email and CC the appropriate members of the team in on the email, often leading to long threads and time delays and waiting times for replies, since we just load the document into Basecamp and everyone can comment on the document in the comment section below it. The familiarity of this feature is very much like leaving a comment to a blog or a social media post, where everyone can put in their opinions or feedback, and this shaves off a lot of time and delays at work. It's just so much easier with Bootcamp!

Cons

What isn't too ideal about Basecamp is that it does sometime go offline due to a technical issue or for a quick maintenance fix, but the software itself is bug-free for a majority of the time, and it usually doesn't take too long before it's back up and running again. I have complete faith in Basecamp, and I know that it will always come back online again.

### "It is a good online project manager, easy to use, it has allowed me to manage large and small projec"

July 8, 2018

5.0

It has allowed me to manage my projects in an easy and secure way, it has helped me with the management of files and the management of users by roles

Pros

We have several favorable things with regard to software, we have storage and management of files in it, which allows us to centralize these, the use of message threads, if we use it correctly, we can track tasks and comments with respect to to the same, the projects can be archived, once completed, you can stop viewing in the panel, but it will remain saved for when we want to review it, when making use of it we should not fill our mail inbox because all the messages they are used by means of the software, as the users of a project can be grouped by roles, the notifications of the messages must not reach all the users of the project, but the group that is desired

Cons

The learning of the software is not immediate, sometimes for not making correct use of it did not facilitate the work, a problem that has happened to us is that users when they have any doubt they write it as a requirement, then they mix requirements and tasks, Another point that has happened to us, is that as we use it in Venezuela and the situation of the state telephone company has problems, internet failures are common, then we can not possibly use it for many hours on days of internet failures

### "A solid business and project management tool"

December 8, 2021

5.0

It has helped us stay in sync long before covid imposed remote collaboration. We strongly recommend basecamp

Pros

Basecamp is our favourite tool to onboard customers, organise our projects, organise our team in general. It has very "simple" features that don't have a steep knowledge curve so everyone can use.

Cons

The app is laggy sometimes which sometimes depends on the Internet speed but still this is frustrating when using basecamp for chat

### "Powerful project management tool to keep your projects organized."

September 13, 2022

5.0

Basecamp has given me abd organization colleagues the most reliable and productive experience in management of our projects. It helps us keep tab of our projects to ensure timely completion while maintaining the efficiency and quality of end results.

Pros

The Group Chat feature is very useful for group communications where group members can share information and have conversations easily and fast. It helps keep everything well organized including files and documents for ease of access. It's also simple to share files through the files sharing function that is super easy to use. Breaking down projects into subtasks makes it easy to manage and track the progress of the projects. Also setting due dates helps carry out projects within the proposed timelines to avoid inconveniences brought by about by failing to meet projects deadline.

Cons

I like every feature and aspect of Basecamp so there is nothing i like least about it.

### "Basecamp - Project Management Review "

November 21, 2023

4.0

Easy software to use, and the whole team was trained up within the day on it. Keeps track of tasks and you can also flick between tasks easy. I would definitely recommend this to anyone working in projects or doing any form of teamwork on a task.

Pros

Ease of use to collaborate with my team on any legal case or project. You can upload documents and track progress with ease and it has kept us all organised and doesn’t take up too much time to input any data.

Cons

Reporting back is slightly trickier so we normally switch back to emails to report back or have phone calls. It’s more useful for task management.

### "Amazing feature set to optimize productivity "

February 5, 2022

4.0

I first used Basecamp while consulting for a client whose teams and projects were set up on it. Without needing to read through any hefty monthly and weekly project reports, two days of reviewing the team activity history and dashboard information provided me with the insightful overview I needed to begin my work. I adopted it for some of my other clients after that one experience.

Pros

What i like most about Basecamp is how intuitively interconnected all the key functions and features are. From reviewing task updates, you can easily leave detailed notes (that are self-recovered in cases of unintentional closure), strike up a team chat or directly text an individual team member, etc. The workflow is just so seamless and effortless without too many unnecessary page navigation steps.

Cons

Its a bit pricier that it’s alternatives within the same class.

### "Always true to the course, Basecamp is light to collaboration. "

The experience of collaborating using Basecamp has been a journey full of success stories. We happy for the position that Basecamp has put us on matters project collaboration. It eliminates the communication barrier and offer a reliable communication options which allows teammates to always be on the same page even if they are not in the same location.

Pros

Working on projects can be a hassle especially if some teammates are working remotely, but Basecamp comes to do away with all these hassles by providing a perfect link up through a virtual workspace where everyone gets to meet, share information and collaboratively work on projects. We are a beneficiary to this and thanks to Basecamp, we are able to execute our remote projects just effectively. Communication is always made easy by the instant messaging and meeting tools which are easily accessible and simple to use.

### "Critical for Remote Project Management"

November 26, 2019

5.0

Basecamp is THE tool I recommend to friends and colleagues when there's a huge, multi-pronged project that is in need of management. Creating and assigning tasks are a cinch, archiving tasks is super easy, and the ability to add descriptive notes is almost everywhere in the software. Being someone who's always worked outside of the project management function, Basecamp has always met all one's needs.

Pros

The best thing about this software is the ability to create tasks, create due dates, and assign them to various parties. I've had a number of jobs over the years and Basecamp has been the way work was managed through the most successful of them. The system is really intuitive, and where things aren't clear, Basecamp is really good about providing tool tips or microcopy to bridge any learning gaps. I've recently started a small business, and Basecamp is the tool we're using to manage our work. 10 of 10, would recommend.

Cons

It's a bit of a double-edge sword: the fact that many email notifications are opt-out rather than opt-in made it so that one of my email accounts constantly overflowing with notification emails from projects that I'm involved in rather than those than I'm working on. It more had to with a culture in that organization of over-transparency, but it would be nice to be able to opt out of a specific type of notification email in a single click.

### "Better way of doing business"

November 18, 2019

4.0

While there were other, cheaper PM softwares to consider, one of the reasons I started to look at Basecamp is because they are, in a sense, industry leaders. They are constantly publishing books or podcasts about better ways of doing business and that's something their software does.

Pros

Since switching to Basecamp we've seen better communication, collaboration, and better delivery on projects for our marketing team. The way Basecamp delivers information—keeping it all up front and easily accessible—makes it super easy to find out where a project is at at any given time. We've also seen an increase in productivity. People are spending less time trying to figure out what it is they are doing and spending more time getting tasks checked off their list. It has also improved team morale. PM software can be frustrating, but the user interface has made it more fun. While we haven't rolled this out company wide, we are looking forward to it.

Cons

I think there is room to improve the educational components of Basecamp. Based on their customer experience, are there best usage stories? Are there best practices for implementation and usage that we can use? Key piece is communication. There's a lot of choices for where people can submit updates: Campfire, in the task list, in individual tasks. What are the best practices? Someone, please tell me.

### "Excellent Product for Project Management"

November 9, 2021

5.0

Our team was able to streamline the management of both internal and external projects. Using the document sharing feature in each task was a great tool for us since we have a LOT of files attached to every project.

Pros

Basecamp was easy to use and understand for our team. Setting it up needed a bit of learning especially for those technologically challenged, but once they got the hang of it they found it useful and increased their productivity.

Cons

There aren't any reporting features in Basecamp. We would have liked to have a way of keeping track of how many tasks were being done or not done, the number of tasks assigned to each team member, the time taken to complete the tasks, etc.

### "Basecamp,a real time project management tool"

November 16, 2022

It's difficult to contrast Basecamp and different other task and project management tools since it fits a novel specialty. It adjusts and balances work management and communications to correspondence to be come the the eras work spot. But some applications yet they end up weighty on side and light on task the board. But not Basecamp.

Pros

simple to set up and to involve No per-client fees, only Level month to month cost for limitless and The Strategy incorporates each component presented offered by Basecamp!!Upholds incorporation with a wide integration of apps and administrations.

### "All in one task manager"

April 16, 2022

Pros

Basecamp has the essential tools for managing a task and can be used for collaborating and brainstorming sessions. It keeps track of my daily grind, and I can easily view the task progress and the job that are still incomplete and or need to be completed within the deadline.

Cons

I need a better tool for managing and completing complex and challenging projects. Integrating with other software is also not too robust as not many options are available for software compatible with this software.

### "The Only place you should be working with your team"

May 8, 2021

5.0

I keep using basecamp for all sorts of small and larger business needs. Everything is simple, cheap and organised in 'camps' projects or thoughts. Could be used for endless amounts of tasks and projects. garage sales, moving lists, centralised working for work from home workers and everything in between. I even showed it to a CEO of a huge company and he questioned his team on my something so cheap was overlooked for their internal colab work files.

Pros

I love BaseCamp as its the one core product I use to centralise my work, my team, outsourcers and clients. Sharing details, ideas, products, sales letters and any feedback.

Cons

I think that some users might not love the fact it is not flashy and full of features.\[\*Cough\* Salesforce\] BUT that is what I love about it. Its not got everything - however that is why I think its a winner!

### "Great for collaboration"

June 13, 2023

4.0

Overall, Basecamp is a great product to collaborate with!

Pros

As a user of Basecamp, I think it's incredibly easy and intuitive to use. You certainly don't need an instruction manual to figure out how to navigate. Posting, reading discussions, and searching is easy.

Cons

Depending on your use, the activity/news feed can become a bit overwhelming so I would say it's my least favorite feature for that reason.
