### "Good overall experience"

September 7, 2021

5.0

Pros

Basecamp is really the best software that improve our team collaboration and communication, especially when we are having weekly discussion. It also help in scheduling task and dispersing the task to my team with the tagger feature. Sharing files and documentation can be done directly from the messenger hub.

Cons

The different version of this software is confusing to choose, as some of the version have quite similar in feature with only one or two not too apparent differences. I also would like to see improvement on the customer support side, as they really slow in replying my email and tickets.

### "Perfect Management Application: Basecamp"

September 25, 2018

5.0

One application for managing projects while communicating with the co-workers.

Pros

I have recommended Basecamp to others in view of the association, organization correspondence it encourages. According to my view,Best feature is Automatic check-ins inside the Basecamp HQ due to we can identify what are the things have done by everyone. The fundamental highlights we use on Basecamp are the Message Board, Docs and Files and ping. Message Board enables you to keep subjects sorted out so everybody can be in agreement together and ring in with their sentiments and addresses, and even excitement. You can transfer documents here which is super useful. The praise highlight adds to association and network. With Docs and Files we can transfer and store plans, contents, accounts, and so on. You can sort by name or date made and everything is before you. The ping highlight is amazing. It keeps a running rundown of the correspondence you've had with others. You can ping at least one individuals. In ping you can likewise transfer records. The computerized headline gives you quicker reaction time than consistent messages. Also,we can have don't charge based on how many users we add.In fact , if we add 10 users or 100 users price is same. Can manage multiple projects.

Cons

\*Need to learn about Basecamp. \*Does not allow the user to know the workload of another coworker. \*Online platform which required internet.

### "Great Working Platform"

April 4, 2018

5.0

We have been able to have many people communicate and collaborate one project. Easier than emailing. Setting to-dos has helped us to get projects completed on time.

Pros

We have been using Basecamp for about 6 years now, and so far the platform is fantastic. Here are the pros I have so far seen while working on this project collaboration platform: 1. Sync with email makes it easy to receive notifications in real time. You don't have to log in to know what's happening. 2. I enjoy choosing which member of our team should be part of a conversation or reply. 3. It's easy to use. We haven't heard new members of our team complain about the app being too techy or complex to work with. 4. The organisation is excellent. There's a whiteboard for everyone, the files section makes it easy for you to trace a file and either download or delete it. 5. One of the things we found cool about Basecamp 3 is the clap feature, which is a bit interesting than the typical like button.

Cons

1\. It's a bitb hard to track time for a particular project 2. I haven't seen a feature that enables you to assign to-dos to more than one individual.

### "un outil simple et efficace"

January 3, 2024

5.0

### "Exclusively magnificent, just few hiccups"

September 14, 2018

5.0

Easy management, keeping track, navigation and a wonderful interface. What more can I ask for a software like this, totally awesome. Basecamp you are the real deal.

Pros

Basecamp is one of the most exclusive and easy to use task management tool. Firstly, what I find interesting is the ability for one to navigate freely using this tool, the interface is quite awesome letting me to easily keep track of my team's progress in several tasks. I have the opportunity of staying put, being updated on team's work as well as assign new task. It is quite mind-blowing for any project manager, you will not be disappointed. Another thing that keeps me in awe is the propensity at which their support group works, I could give extra bucks for that, wow.., well that the customer representative is doing a great job. I don't have to wait for even half an hour before I get a positive reply most especially when my subscription is up. Well, I think this software is doing a great job and making things easier for us, less stress and easy navigation. Basecamp is the ideal task management tool for any project manager.

Cons

Well I do not see any CON in this software, however, all software comes with its own unique and distinct cons, that maybe displeasing to some and best for others. The glitch or rather hiccups I could notice with this software is the delay in uploading files, it could be from my network, but still there are lots of new features I would love basecamp to add up like invoicing and lead management, I know if these cons are considered basecamp will be the perfect management tool. Though Basecamp was nice and easy to use.

### "Basecamp is our department choice"

May 26, 2021

4.0

Pros

I love the project progress and the timeline tracking that this software has offered. Since my department work closely with out client on some of the project, the client portal really helping us out in keeping client within the loop and fast update on their end.

Cons

I am not a fan of their dashboard structure along with the name of some of the tools here. It doesn't scream professional, as an example, the discussion board are named "campfire". Other than that, everything else is okay and easy to use.

### "Small or Complex Projects Organized"

February 25, 2019

5.0

Fun and straight forward PM tools for centralized communications, controlling and monitoring, file repository. This is one of the best tools for managing small to big projects.

Pros

As a Project Manager, there is a mountain of things you have to keep tabs on. Fortunately, we have Basecamp as a central project space. Basecamp is aptly named. We use it a central stop/location for all our project communications, active and archived files, task management, notifications, and issue logs. Every member of the project team, the stakeholders, etc are kept up-to-date with the project comms and status. Each one, according to his/her corresponding access levels, have visibility of project files. RACI is well implemented in terms of comms and project monitoring. The Interface has improved much through the years or using it. It's more light and fun to use now. It is important to have such a nice user interface to keep the members using it. It's easy to access files, to comment on items, and tick off tasks. Lastly, we found that it requires little setup to get a project space up and running. Everything else is just straight forward (setup, to deployment, daily usage).

Cons

The workflow is something that perhaps can be improved. It is not specific to any industry, which is logical for the devs so it can appeal across industries. But for specialized industries/needs (e.g., many of manual, inter-lapping flows) it may not be suitable or would need much customizations.

### "Couldn't live without Basecamp!"

October 24, 2019

5.0

I presently manage 10 projects using Basecamp and am a team member on 30+. The majority of staff members are remote, distributed across the US. I do not believe we could be as successful if we did not use such a high quality project management software. BC enables my team to keep multiple projects moving on time in an efficient and transparent way.

Pros

It would be difficult to identify a single aspect of the software as my favorite. The beauty of Basecamp is that it's many functions work together as a whole. But file management and task list management are the main reason why I use it, and I use it daily. File management is easy as folders can be set up and each folder can hold text documents, uploaded files, files from the cloud (such as Dropbox) as well as subfolders. Nothing gets lost. Within a minute, I can locate a 5-year old document and see who contributed to multiple versions over the years. Tasks list clearly communicate who is responsible for what and when. Task assignments make people accountable for their actions and encourage people to meet deadlines.

Cons

Basecamp is not magic. If you start off disorganized, you will have a disorganized site and that can be tedious and time consuming to fix. The project manager must makes decisions and clearly communicate how the software should be used, such as how files are managed.

Reason for choosing Basecamp

Primarily because it provides better notification settings, task assignments, and file management. I also like the customer service, tech assistance, and helpful tips/blog.

### "Basecamp Review"

April 13, 2018

3.0

Better project management

Pros

Basecamp puts all the project documentation and communication in one place. It includes messages, chat, todo lists, and schedules with events. There are several views of all the data to make it easy for different team members to know what they have to do and when. A unified search function can find terms across all the different activities. This is super valuable when bringing a new team member up to speed, ensuring the whole team is working from the same plan, and reviewing todo items.

Cons

It's hard to get many users or clients to use Basecamp properly. If their current workflow involves just sending emails Basecamp can accommodate that and save the emails to the project. However, that misses a lot of the usefulness of the service. Even so, email logging does provide visibility to team members who weren't directly addressed which is a plus. There are three versions of Basecamp, so when you ask a client "Do you use Basecamp" you're not out of the woods. They may be using a version you're not, which means one group or the other will be using a version with different sets of functionality than they know well. The different versions provide different integrations with other apps such as time tracking or reporting. If you go whole-hog and save a lot of large files such as design assets to Basecamp, you may blow through the storage limits for the lower-level plans. Services like Dropbox offer much more storage for lower prices so you may want to pair Basecamp with that if you have a small number of projects but need a lot of storage.

### "The best project management software available"

November 24, 2021

5.0

Pros

I honestly love everything about Basecamp. The interface makes it very easy to understand what I'm looking at, so I can move through it with ease. Managing multiple projects is easy to do.

Cons

Sometimes the price can seem like a lot. Their website makes it easy to justify when you look at what it would cost to pay for all of these other applications that would do what it does, but I don't think everyone that uses Basecamp would've purchased every one of those tools in the list.

### "More orderly workflow"

March 23, 2019

5.0

The fundamental advantage of Basecamp is the capacity to allot out explicit undertakings to explicit people and with a due date. Basecamp helps organizations to know which individuals from every office on chipping away at a customer. With the due date highlight, clients can demonstrate time-touchy or important matters. This component is discretionary, which enables our organization to recognize transient undertakings and long haul objectives. Basecamp's plan is agenda arranged. Agendas advance incredibly to our increasingly fastidious representatives, yet in addition, empowers the more Type B workers to center their thoughts into convenient and quantifiable assignments. The freshest move up to Basecamp 3 presented the Campfire include which is perfect for inward ventures, an advantage that was missing from the past rendition. This part of the product is ideal for intra-office non-customer work. For instance, the record supervisory crew utilizes this element to work together on building another layout for our customer introductions. In general, Basecamp enables my organization to accomplish extensive scale objectives by separating them into particular objectives.

Pros

I have been dealing with the customer confronting side of a medium-sized computerized advertising organization. I cherish that Basecamp adjusts superbly with our multi-customer firm. The latest upgrade to Basecamp 3 contributed to the item's utility. Basecamp's plan enables my collaborators and me to dole out and oversee undertakings crosswise over divisions. The new Campfire highlight extends Basecamp's utility to incorporate inner tasks, besides the principle advantage of sorting out customer work. This element takes into account an increasingly easygoing stream of thoughts for ventures that my group is chipping away at as a team.

Cons

After you have transferred documents, you can not download them combined at once. You need to exclusively download each document that you need. This can prompt having different form of a record. On the off chance that you don't erase a past adaptation of an archive, at that point there will be two. the best way to not keep running into this is to us the record fuction in Basecamp. This element is exceptionally essential. in the event that you don't remain over record the executives and discourse you could be soon over run and end up with a ton of tidy up work.

### "Great Tool "

March 2, 2021

I am staying in touch with my team more, it is keeping me accountable, it helps with organization and process. I get email notifications and basecamp app notifications whenever someone tags me on a board and keeps my tasks in line. It has a great interface and is easy to navigate.

Pros

I really enjoy the interface and being able to post documents, tag teammates, and write comments for a bunch of different client-specific projects. It’s easy to use and very helpful in staying organized.

Cons

I would love to see a chat function within basecamp that is like a version of slack to all teammates active on BaseCamp.

### "We tried to like it -- we really tried."

June 28, 2020

4.0

Good if you feel everyone needs to be hand-held on your time, and can't learn systems with a bit more horsepower and slightly less of a layman's interface.

Pros

It technically does what is supposed to -- manage tasks and keep people in sync -- if you don't mind spending lots of time doing it.

Cons

Basecamp is supposed to be one of those products you're supposed to love. After all, it's the source of Ruby on Rails, and DHH, et. We found it to be clunky and obtrusive -- a task update should take seconds, and multiple task updates should not be able to be done in bulk / faster -- and yet that's not the case with basecamp -- it's almost like the design objective was simply -- hey you should love the process of task management, and so let's make all that process management take lots of time.

I have come to have a better understanding of Basecamp. I can now also see how the use of this program can be beneficial for organizing and setting templates for projects that require the same processes.

Pros

Even with having more time using Basecamp., I still appreciate the easiness of including new people to a group. I also like being able to have access

Cons

I still dislike the process when creating a todo. then having to go back into the todo when I had already put all my initial verbiage, as the subject apparently.

### "My experience has been excellent, Basecamp is a organizer and task manager for work groups or teams."

March 9, 2018

5.0

The benefits are multiple, since this software allows the organization and management of tasks for teams of people working in collaboration, allows task lists, file exchange, creates a thread of uninterrupted dialogue through email and even optimization of the functionalities not always explicit and the circulation of information between collaborators, managers and clients, existing the possibility of working together even if people do not meet in person. Basecamp is the best tool for managing SME projects since many of them lack an adequate model to manage projects and manage them correctly to become a factor of success for the business, Basecamp allows small businesses and family businesses, file sharing among the members of a work team, assign the tasks to carry out, plan calendars, generate reports and, among other things, establish delivery dates.

Pros

What I like most about this software is that no matter what the physical distance of my work team, the additional tasks it does or even the difficulty of meeting everyone in a current meeting, it is always possible through Basecamp, for take work and meet goals in collaboration. I also like that you have the possibility to manage projects online even in small companies that can maintain their productivity, simplify working methods and manage in a fluid and collaborative way their work fulfilling their functions without the need for a fixed job. What I like most is that it is easy to use, its speed and the simplification of options compared to other tools.

Cons

What I like the least about this tool is that it needs complementary functionalities that adapt to the new times and the new demands of the client, maybe you have to think if you need to integrate Basecamp with part of the email, some social networks such as those that allow videoconferences with up to 40 people and also have the possibility to share the screen and record the session. Additionally, I think it would be convenient to add to the internal messaging of Basecamp the possibility of subscribing to the group or work team in pages of interest, in such a way that the client is always connected to this software and also through the get articles of interest, offers of training and work or promotion of their service and activities.

### "Basecamp: The best way for your team to collaborate"

March 12, 2021

5.0

Basecamp has helped streamline our work process and make communication easier, especially with most members of our team working remotely due to COVID. Everybody has access to Basecamp and understands it, so it's pretty seamless across the board.

Pros

We've been using basecamp for years. It's kind of an all-in-one piece of software, great for task and project management. You can upload files seamlessly and choose who and who not to alert. The message board feature is great for sharing progress and keeping everyone in the loop on the status of a project. It's been a great tool for us

Cons

Sometimes the file uploader is a little finicky with what it does and does not allow to upload - for example, sometimes it's no big deal to upload an .AI file, other times it fails to upload at all, but won't provide any kind of notification for that. That can lead to problems. We've notified tech support.

### "One pl"

August 10, 2018

5.0

BaseCamp has helped our company to communicate with external vendors in a manner that is easy, collaborative, and all well documented in just one place. We have used it internally as well for project teams, and communication and project work has been optimised, and a lot of email back-and-forths have been saved due to this common project space provided to us by BaseCamp. The name is peferct for its use.

Pros

We used BaseCamp as the Project space provided to us by an external SaaS vendor. This is where we kept all things project-related including our files (documents, photos), calendar, tasks and action items, announcements, and notifications hub. We loved having just one place to house all these so that everyone is kept on the same page. It is super easy to use, and there is a ton of documentation (including videos) provided so that any team member can be trained right away to use it. On its own, it's fairly easy to navigate. And everything you need can be quickly found via a powerful search function.

Cons

There is a downside to making sure everyone in the project team is kept up-to-date... this can result in a lot of emails! By default, updates will push an email notification which may be annoying to some. Not a fault of Basecamp really, since it can be muted. But for users, might be something to look at.
