### "The ultimate collab"

September 15, 2023

5.0

Basecamp keeps our team moving on time, step by step. We're more efficient and thorough, and we don't miss any details.

Pros

One thing that's really nice about Basecamp is that the monthly price is the same no matter how many usersthe account will need. This means it's much more affordable especially for larger teams or companies. There's also a version of Basecamp that can be used for free, incase you'd like to try it out first.Setting up Basecamp was almost effortless. The Ul is so intuitive and helpful. Integrating Basecamp with other services is supported and may be done quickly without a complicated setup. Guest accounts are available and they add flexibility. Basecamp keeps all team members updated on events, deadlines, announcements, approvals, etc. Teams can manage projects, tasks, and ideas in one platform. It's looking to be the best collaboration app I've had.

Cons

I'm disappointed to see that time tracking and Gantt charts were not included, however I still think we're thriving with Basecamp. I'd also like to be able to leave our team communication app behind and only use Basecamp.

### "Comprehensive Organizational Corkboard"

February 12, 2024

5.0

Pros

I love the the user interface is easy to learn and use. It's laid out in a way that makes intuitive sense for juggling multiple projects at once and has many features that keep to-do lists easy to track and the activity of everyone on the team visible.

Cons

It can be tricky to figure out how some of the tracking works and which feature best helps your organize your work. Sometimes there are more items than you need and it would be nice to be able to remove more features from the dash and menu if you don't use them.

### "Efficient Project Management Made Easy: A Review of Basecamp"

August 2, 2023

4.0

As project leader, I particularly appreciated the progress tracking feature. I could see the status of each task at a glance and identify potential bottlenecks. It helped me make informed decisions and provide necessary support to team members when needed.

Pros

One of the most appreciated aspects of Basecamp is its simplicity and user-friendly interface. Many users find it easy to navigate and use, even for those who are not tech-savvy. The app's straightforward design allows teams to quickly get started and collaborate effectively without a steep learning curve.Additionally, the centralized nature of Basecamp is highly praised. Having tasks, messages, files, and discussions all in one place helps teams stay organized and reduces the need to switch between multiple tools or platforms. The ability to manage multiple projects within Basecamp is also a favorite feature. It allows users to keep various projects separate and ensures that each project gets the necessary attention and focus.Overall, Basecamp's ease of use, centralized organization, and support for multiple projects make it a popular choice for task management and team collaboration.

Cons

A common concern I've come across is the lack of more advanced features that some users may be accustomed to in other project management tools. I appreciate Basecamp's simplicity, but it can be a limitation for me as I require more extensive customization and integration options.

### "Simple yet elegant and effective."

July 26, 2023

4.0

In summary, Basecamp impresses with its simplicity, attention to detail, and comprehensive feature set. Its user-friendly interface and thoughtful design make it easy to navigate and utilize its robust set of project management tools. While the software excels in many aspects, one area for improvement could be providing more fine-grained metrics for tracking project timelines. Nonetheless, Basecamp remains a valuable asset for efficient collaboration, streamlined communication, and effective project management.

Pros

am thoroughly impressed with its simplicity, attention to detail, and robust set of features. The software's straightforward interface makes it incredibly easy to navigate and use, allowing me to quickly get started and stay organized. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of Basecamp, from its clean design to its thoughtful features that cater to various project management needs.

Cons

While Basecamp offers excellent project management capabilities, having more detailed metrics and insights into the timeline of events would greatly enhance the ability to track progress and identify potential bottlenecks. By incorporating more granular metrics, such as task duration, milestone completion rates, or individual team member contributions, Basecamp could provide users with a more comprehensive understanding of project timelines and enable more effective project planning and management

### "Best tool for task management and communication"

November 14, 2022

4.0

It has been excellent, having few negatives but far more benefits. Prior to using Basecamp, I found it challenging to add tasks with due dates because I had to write down my daily obligations and frequently forgot to complete some of them. After login in to my workplace, I immediately check my tasks and start working as per the schedule. With Basecamp's assistance, integrating new team members has been a breeze. Onboarding is a time-consuming process with numerous tasks, but Basecamp had made it simple with its feature of project and task management.

Pros

Almost all the features are impactful in basecamp. Project management and all related tasks are made significantly easier with Basecamp. Even someone without any prior experience can start managing projects right away. Thanks to the Basecamp platform's simplicity and intuitiveness. The best feature of Basecamp is that it integrates with mobile devices, allowing you to use this application on any gadget. Additionally, we have the option of choosing the notifiers for our announcements. If you want to have one-on-one or small-group talks about the same subject, Ping is also useful.

Cons

You cannot later add a person to the ping once it has been formed with the group. You cannot delete the pingYou cannot easily find the group already created on basecamp ping

### "Basecamp Review"

December 1, 2023

5.0

My journey with Basecamp has been a pretty solid ride. The best part is the simplicity and easy to use without making my brain hurt. It's like project management for dummies, in a good way. Communication-wise, it's been a game-changer. Chatting in real-time, and organizing tasks – it's all smooth sailing. The notification game is on point, keeping me in the loop without driving me crazy. Of course, there are a couple of hiccups, like slow file uploads and sluggish videos. But overall, Basecamp has been a reliable buddy in keeping my team on the same page. Thumbs up from me!

Pros

What I love most is how easy it is to use. No tech headaches, just smooth sailing. It's like they read our minds and knew exactly what a team needs. The chatting part is awesome. We can talk in real-time, share files without pulling our hair out, and keep everything super organized on message boards. No more lost convos or digging through emails! And guess what? Notifications are on point. Not too much, not too little – just the right amount to keep us in the loop without feeling overwhelmed. Moreover, we can set the notifications as per our own convinience. Thumbs up, Basecamp!

Cons

Just wanted to say, love using the platform, but gotta be real about a couple of things. Uploading big files in the chat takes a bit too long. And watching videos on the message board is kind of slow, even with good internet. Can we speed up file stuff and make videos play faster? That would be awesome.

### "Just simplifies my project management efforts."

June 21, 2023

5.0

Basecamp effectively addresses the common challenges I face when managing projects. It excels in centralizing project-related information, tasks, and discussions, eliminating the need for scattered communication and collaboration efforts within my department.

Pros

I appreciate Basecamp for offering a comprehensive range of tools that cater to my team's requirements throughout the entire project management process. Whether it's task management, scheduling, file sharing, or team discussions, Basecamp serves as a centralized hub, enabling efficient collaboration among project teams. The ability to create to-do lists, assign responsibilities, and set deadlines helps to maintain organization within my project group, while the real-time messaging and commenting features facilitate effective communication and quicker decision-making.

Cons

One aspect of Basecamp that I believe could benefit from improvement is the customization of the interface. I would appreciate having greater flexibility to tailor the appearance and structure to align with the specific preferences of my project and team.

### "Collaborating during remote work is made easy by Basecamp. "

November 14, 2023

5.0

Basecamp allows us to achieve better results from our remote work by acting as a bridge for smooth communication of those in the field and those working from the office. It allows us to discuss our projects, gain visibility on their performance and track the entire projects from start to the end.

Pros

Basecamp offers a very useful group chatting function that allows us to chat in real-time irrespective of our geographical locations. This helps us to have very productive discussions especially during remote work which sees us have the same and even better results as it would be the case in on-site work. It provides us with a shared dashboard that keep us on the know about how our work is to be done, the work already done and the scheduled work. Sharing files and other documents is easy and so secure.

Cons

Basecamp has been a top-notch solution and there are nothing not to like about it.

Basecamp has been instrumental in streamlining our team's collaboration and project management efforts. Its intuitive user interface and robust feature set have greatly improved communication, task management, and document organization within our projects. The ability to access Basecamp on mobile devices has been a game-changer for remote work scenarios. While there was a slight learning curve initially, the platform's ease of use and effective collaboration features have made it an invaluable tool for our team. We highly recommend Basecamp for teams seeking a comprehensive and user-friendly project management solution that simplifies collaboration and boosts productivity.

Pros

Simplified Collaboration: Basecamp provides a centralized platform for teams to collaborate, eliminating the need for scattered communication channels. Message boards, chat rooms, and direct messaging facilitate seamless and transparent team communication.Intuitive User Interface: Basecamp's user-friendly interface makes it easy for both new and experienced users to navigate the platform. The clean design and straightforward layout contribute to a smooth user experience.

Cons

Learning Curve: Basecamp's extensive features may have a slight learning curve for new users. Some users might require time to familiarize themselves with the platform and its capabilities.Limited Integration Options: Basecamp's integration options are not as extensive compared to some other project management tools. Using Basecamp, my experience has been outstanding. I efficiently organized tasks, facilitated team communication and project progress monitoring. The intuitive interface and comprehensive functionalities allowed me to be productive and focused on results.

Pros

Basecamp is an intuitive, organized and comprehensive project management software that facilitates team collaboration, progress tracking and information sharing.

Cons

What I like least is the limited flexibility of adapting Basecamp to specific project needs.

Reason for choosing Basecamp

Because basecamp stands out for its simplicity, comprehensiveness and intuitive interface, providing efficient task management, team communication and project progress monitoring in one place, facilitating team collaboration and increasing productivity.

### "We would be a Mess without It"

July 26, 2019

5.0

Despite my complaint about Discussions, I REALLY love this product and honestly cant' see how we could keep organized with the complexity of our projects without it. I know there are other products that do similar things in different ways, but you guys hit perfectly on providing exactly the functionality we need without a lot of extra fluff. We use Basecamp B2 BTW and not B3 because we don't need all the additional fluff of B3. We have other products to handle chat (like Skype etc) so there was nothing about B3 that we needed. WE LOVE BASECAMP B2 !!!

Pros

I love the ease of use, and the how it allows us to keep very complex projects organized via the To-dos etc. I love the fact it lets our teams collaborate in a single location and keep everything related to a project organized. (We use Basecamp B2 FYI)

Cons

DISCUSSIONS. If I had a way to turn off the ability to start a new discussion I would. I like the fact the discussion area shows the chronological listing of activities, but I DO NOT like the concept of a discussion. Everything we do in Basecamp is in the TO-DO section because you can assign ownership and due dates. A DISCUSSION on the other hand, cannot be assigned to someone or a date added. Anything we need to discuss, can be done inside a specific TO-DO item and at the point someone needs to take action it can then be assigned to someone for ownership. A discussion without the ability to assign ownership and a time element is Just a bunch of talking and worthless to a business. I'm also continually having customers go out there and open new discussions when they want something instead of opening a to-do because discussions are the first thing they see. If I could turn off the ability to open a new discussion I would. Because of the issue I just mentioned, it would be VERY HELPFUL if there was an easy way to move an item from a DISCUSSION to a TO-DO. That would make it easy to deal with the situation if someone opened a discussion instead of a to-do and also would make logical sense that people are talking about something for a long time (Discussing it) and then when it's time to get off their butt and do something they could move it to a to-do (have the history of the discussion) and assign ownership.

### "If you're using it for sharing big files it works well."

December 6, 2021

3.0

Overall it did its job. We were able to share large files with the client, architect, engineers and all of us could collaborate. It was much simpler than emails back and forth providing links, however I would like to see more limitations put onto the users or at least the notification settings. Without them it just becomes a free for all and you don't know what has been posted by who or when.

Pros

Sharing files and uploading documents to basecamp is a breeze. It's very user friendly and simple and shouldn't take much training to be able to pick it up and use it. It's simple to find documents when you need them and share documents when you need others to see them. It worked a lot like other file sharing services and had a clean looking user experience.

Cons

It could have been just the project I was involved in, but it felt like permissions or limitations were non-existent. Anyone could change documents or add them or even delete them. They could also turn off notifications so on several occasions we missed out on important documents because we simply weren't notified. We wouldn't find out about them until someone else pointed them out or we just happened to stumble upon them by accident. The communication portion is lacking if there aren't some controls set in place.

### "Best and All-In-One Toolkit for Working Remotely 😊"

May 29, 2021

5.0

Pros

Our team is using Basecamp since 2019 and all the things are managed and well settled because of Basecamp. Our messages, schedules to do the tasks, our important documents, our conversations regarding the projects and tasks are safe and well managed on Basecamp. Some of the best and helpful features are: 1. Message Board: You can post announcements, pitch ideas and check progress with daily and on time updates. 2. To-do's: Best option is to set the to-do option in which one can easily make lists of the work or task the you want to get done, set due dates for a tasks and much more. 3. Schedule: You can set important dates on a schedule and can subscribe events in google calendar, Outlook or ical. 4. Docs and files: Easiest and helpful thing us to share the files with teams but the exciting thing is that you can upload and share docs, files, images and spreadsheets with your team and organize in folder as yiu want so they're easy to find. 5. Group chat: You don't need to talk to your teammates using your mobile number here in Basecamp you can easily chat with group members, ask random and important questions relevant to your queries and share stuff without any problem. In simple, Basecamp is the best platform that have the tools for any company or firm includes all the tools all teams need to work together. Keep everyone in the loop without all the meetings.

Cons

As I'm using Basecamp without facing any problem so a big Thank you to the Basecamp team. All the tools and features are very helpful. Even one can try Basecamp free trial without any credit card requirement. You can enjoy free trial then you can select package according to your needs and requirements. I hope you really enjoy it. One suggestion to Basecamp team is that please add special package and tools for teachers and students. In covid-19 situation every school and college facing problems in online learning, I suggest to add special LMS features for education side. Again Thanks

### "Great for client management and projects"

January 16, 2019

5.0

It helps us keep the communication with clients in one place versus using email which is helpful. I wish they had a free version though. I like the style and branding of the app, but if I wasn't using it for client work I doubt I'd be using it for my own projects.

Pros

\- The interface is fun to navigate, it's just pleasant to look at. I like all the little buttons, the way that the check marks are designed, it's fun to comment and check things off. I'm a big nerd when it comes to the actual enjoyment of a platform. The brand is on point. - I like that you can set up different sections for todo's versus having them all be in place. It's also helpful to have a separate files section and discussions section for things not related to specific to-do's although we do rarely use them with my clients. - I see they have an option to use Clientside where the client doesn't get to see all the things in Basecamp, and they can still use email primarily when it comes to the communication. I personally don't use this option and we just have the client in their own Basecamp but it's a great option for folks if they don't want their clients IN the actual project. - It's easy to attach images, write quick comments, and send pings to team members.

Cons

\- The price point, it's obviously not a free option like Trello or others and it is the same in terms of quality as those two except for the design and having clients in there. - It can get confusing for the client. They don't know where to go. - Sometimes we don't know where to write things, there are too many options for communication and discussion which makes the organization of our conversations a bit trickier to manage. - I wish it was possible to see a visual representation of the deadlines for each task, like a gantt chart or something. I feel like Asana has more options when it comes to all of that and it's easier to organize things.

### "Basecamp is great for remote teams to track and accomplish recurring projects"

October 29, 2022

5.0

Been using this for several years, I do like how simple it is to organize and accomplish tasks across the board. I would say, if you're looking for a project management solution for recurring tasks and projects, this is a great fit.

Pros

I really love how it organizes conversations around tasks. Each task has a permanent record of the discussion going on for it, which keeps the discussion focused and organized.

Cons

There are three versions of basecamp, and they don't talk to each other. I have suppliers using all three versions, and I have to log in separately for each. When you have multiple projects, the project updates can be hard to follow--it's not immediately clear which project has which update, I have to read the whole sentence to find what I need. Would like something easier, maybe color coding?

### "Basecamp Review "

October 4, 2022

5.0

My overall experience of Basecamp is very positive as all the features provided by it help me to easen my workload by optimizing my work.

Pros

It has been more than 6 months since I am using Basecamp, Basecamp can be considered as an alternative to WhatsApp in the business world. Basecamp not only helps me to get timely notification and messages but also helps me to organize my work accordingly.

Cons

Basecamp has a lot of advantages but it also has some shortcomings. The one feature which definitely can be added is to have an option of seeing whether the message sent to someone is read by them or not. Also at times it provides delayed responses.

### "Basecamp - for small and (some) medium-sized projects"

January 15, 2021

5.0

I use Basecamp to manage part of my projects. It helps me to keep in better connection with my clients and the members of the team. I think it is well suited for small and maybe medium-sized projects. It’s reliable and effective at keeping everything organized as long as your teams will have less than 20 members. But if you’re taking into consideration to use Basecamp, you must also evaluate the complexity of the project and the need of communication between members. Sometimes the conversation will become hard to follow because everything is put together, and after a while it’s difficult to keep track of it. We also use the document management and sharing feature to organize project files. Number of emails between team members and/or client dropped after starting using Basecamp. In fact, you can use Basecamp entirely as a communication platform to organize and keep in touch with your clients. Basecamp consolidates all messages with the client in one place. If the projects are for external clients you can add them to your project and choose only certain resources that they can have access to.

Pros

Basecamp has a very easy to use and intuitive interface. Managing and supervising projects is clean and efficient. It allows us to share only certain resources with the client. Groups allow team members to collaborate and share resources. Members can communicate real-time with the chat or direct messages(pings) or by posting on messages board. I can dismiss questions or responses if inadequate for the group. We’re able to set a responsible and set deadlines for tasks. I can quickly see the tasks we still need to do. I like how I can have all communication with the client in one place. We don’t need to communicate by emails so often. Calendar will tell us the time spent and the deadline of the projects. You can define project hierarchies to break down projects and make them more manageable. Sometimes I need to share something with a person who’s not on the team; for this I can create a public share link. We can use templates to speed up the creation of similar projects.

Cons

There is no plan between Free and Business (99USD/month). Grouping and following longer discussions is not that easy. I would like to have the possibility to delete files in bulk. The calendar is just basic, it lacks many features like exporting or syncing with external apps/tools. I think there are too many email notifications. I would like to correct or edit online an already uploaded document. If you want to change the design after your company branding, don't expect that from Basecamp. I miss a standard feature to prioritize the tasks so we can drop out our custom conventions.

### "Ideal tool for type of companies in the management of projects by price and trial version"

January 16, 2023

4.0

Centralized management of files and projects simultaneously and regular monitoring of tasks, since we started using this application we have never had a complaint from anyone affecting the project managed an unauthorized email despite some still limited functionality.

Pros

The centralization of the elements or files of the project in a coherent whole to avoid unordered emails and its integration is really easy in a business process and the system of tracking tasks and sharing files really ultra professional.

Cons

The application is only in English, the handling a bit difficult for novices, no way to manage a disgusting comment, limited project management features, no reporting or time tracking as standard and the import of data from a device to the PC totally limited which needs to be further improved because it is very important to beat the competition.

Reason for choosing Basecamp

It is a tool that offers very comfortable use or pricing for any user also the generous free version, an intuitive and uncluttered interface.

### "Preparing and implementing tasks through the cooperation of team members"

November 13, 2021

5.0

Basecamp contributed to increasing the ability to follow up on all projects of the organization, as well as save documents and documents related to those projects, and also through notifications of tasks that are sent at the specified times to all members, ensuring that everyone stays in touch with the actual situation of the project and enables the project management to know the points Defects and omissions in production baskets, which gives them flexibility with the ability to enter at the right time.

Pros

Basecamp is a flexible program with a distinctive design, which enables the work team, by integrating jobs, to dispense with many of the tasks they perform, which contributes to saving time and effort and increasing productivity. The team will be able to communicate through Basecamp from anywhere at any time and also via mobile phones. Each team member will be able to list the tasks, their due dates, and the members who contribute to the implementation of the task, which makes the follow-up processes and measurement of achievement rates easy and clear to everyone. The application will provide you with notifications about the assigned tasks that you have to follow. The application provides the ability to download files, documents and videos of a specific activity, and they will be saved for reference at any time. The application enables you to work on several projects at the same time, as you will be able to customize the tasks according to the project you are working on.

Cons

Everything is excellent, Basecamp is easy to use for everyone, it has a unique user interface, which allows you to know all the tasks that you are required to participate in and their due dates. Basecamp has an excellent support team and provides educational aids to everyone that helps with a clear understanding of how the app works. Basecamp provides a very large amount of freedom for users, enabling them to include and modify the list of people to send notifications to, ensuring that those notifications reach the people concerned at the specified times.

### "Basecamp use in our Non-Profit"

October 28, 2022

5.0

I'm happy that Basecamp is being improved, so I'll put up with some issues while watching for new ways to use it.

Pros

The most impactful feature of Basecamp is that it is visual, which works best for me. I like being able to add documents and files, move them around, create and color file folders to organize. To-do lists are great, checking off work done is always encouraging. And it's great to know the software is being improved, with good notes and tips to help me understand the changes.

Cons

When I started working here 3 years ago, we were using Basecamp and other products like Microsoft Sharepoint and spreadsheets to keep organized. I'm not sure that we need more than Basecamp, but that's what people are used to, so it's a challenge to keep everything integrated. Sometimes the Find utility doesn't seem to identify key words, so others get a little frustrated trying to find documents, etc., hence the overlapping programs.
