It has also enabled the university to easily manage projects. Pros We have been using base camp for the last three years as our main project management tool.It is used across all department anytime we are having projects in the institution. Basecamp has made the institution more effective in that we are able to keep up on the deadlines, notes and documentation of every project. I also like the customer support service which is easy for us to reach out to in case of an issue. Cons It is a little expensive compared to other project managemen tool but it is highly functional. It is very user friendly and any person who has a little bit knowledge of online tools can learn it within a day. Cons Sometimes it is not possible to use this tool for all your project management requirements, e.g. you can't handle calls with team or clients. Otherwise it is an excellent tool overall. Pros: The actions in this tool simplify significantly project management time, simplicity is its main attraction since the interface is very friendly and easy to use, it also has versions for cell phones. Cons The reports regarding the times are somewhat elementary, it does not offer permits or memberships with respect to users which may affect whether the documents are at risk to be harmed by unwanted users and does not have security in the information, updates and modifications of the tool they run without previous notifications to the user. Our productivity has improved notably with the addition of Basecamp. Pros \- We are able to create a super organized task-oriented workplace - The UI is intuitive and clear - We have no more lost email projects floating in the ether Cons \- As with most productivity and organization software, there is the potential to make more work by using this product with smaller projects. CFO Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Missing some key functionality" December 21, 2017 3.0 This product works okay if you don't need timetracking or have a separate system for that, but ideally the tasks and the ability to track time on the task would be in the same software without having to work with a third-party time tracking add-on (which we have yet to find one that works well for our needs either as a standalone system or a Basecamp add-on). Pros It's very helpful to have the collection of client communication in one location and it's convenient that the communication is sent directly to email. Cons For our purposes, the use of Basecamp is somewhat dysfunctional without a good, flexible, integrated time tracking mechanism. Also there is no ability to prioritize tasks other than with a date so you have to constantly change dates when priorities shift. It would also be very useful to be able to initiate a communication thread right from our email system rather than having to start it in Basecamp in order to have the thread appear in Basecamp. It's an all in one tool that you can store documents, communicate, and track tasks within a project. It's great that you can create anything within the project and choose whether or not it's an internal-facing piece or if it's for the client's view. I also like that you can track the history of a project, as long as you are keeping thread topics clear and consistent. Cons I wish you could track hours and budget within the tool easier. And after we transfer document, we can’t download them combined at once. we have to download each one by one.to work properly we have to know about all the things of its features. but it’s a normal thing. If we use software, we have to know everything about it to work easily with that software. Pros Basecamp is a good solution for projects.it has very friendly user interface and good to manage projects. We can organize project with to-dos and we can assign those to-dos to specific people. And we can keep status which they do and what will have to do. Everyone in project group can see that status. We can make term and privet chat through basecamp.
