Product had great features and was much easier to use than most CRM programs available Pros I was tasked with implementing a CRM program into our company which had a sales team consisting both of mature guys most of which have been with the company for more than twenty years and performed their duties without the use of today's technology and a group of young eager salesman just out of college that expected the best electronic utilities available to simplify their jobs. After working through trial periods of all the major sales programs and carefully weighing the benefits and costs of each one, Basecamp was the one I chose and it has been a huge success. Cons It wouldn't be right to say that they dislike i.e. any part of the software because it served our purpose perfectly. My biggest con would have to be that the way the purchase options were packaged their were items I wanted to use that were only available in the most expensive plan but yet most of the items that were in that plan had no relevance to what we needed. There are many other competitors now and I'm not sure that Basecamp stands out amongst the crowd, but it certainly does the job it sets out to accomplish. Pros Basecamp helped a team of 12 committee members working from different parts of the United States work together on complex and interrelated projects. Communication was simple and easy to follow on the dashboard, while document sharing was able useful. Pros \- Easy task assignment and follow-up - Allows for attachment of files (JPEG, PDF, AI, PSD and beyond) within to-dos - Multiple to-do lists that can be divided by project or company area - Customizable alerts available on several platforms (push notification, e-mail, in-app alerts) - Intuitive interface and good overall UX Cons \- Though it offers the possibility of setting up priorities on each task, this may not be perfectly reflected on notifications - Due to the implication of various roles and people on a same to-do, there might be an overabundance of notifications that makes it difficult to keep track of most important to-dos. I'm a real advocate of the tool. The only element stopping a perfect review is their ability to take feature requests, for seemingly simple features, and develop them. Not too much to overwhelm/interrupt the workflow, but enough to format things and quickly provide key points for users. Pros We use this everyday, several times a day. It's great to have an easy go-to for brainstorming as well as execution. Copy/pasting directly into the task comments is a breeze! Cons I initially had trouble finding my recently accessed stuff, until I saw the "recently visited" piece - brilliant. Super helpful. Our business struggles to find a balance between Slack and Basecamp. Basecamp has better visibility on projects overall, but the messaging in Basecamp is a major downfall. Pros I like the ability to add source material (documents, photos, links) directly to project pages. I also like the overall ability to scan and search for past info on projects, which are timestamped and easily read in a timeline view. Cons Basecamp’s messaging and user experience is clunky. Basecamp also doesn’t have a gantt view option, which would be immensely helpful in switching from linear timeline to a tiered view. The calendar view is also basic, and although it’s helpful, it could use many more functions to make it usable. It was easy to carry and move. Pros The thing I like most was the picture quality. The colors popped more on this new brand versus my older Tv's Cons The sound quality was good. I use it to manage personal projects internally at an agency that uses a different management software. I like basecamp that much. Pros So many project management softwares require a certain period of training just to get people onboard with using them. In a time where you just don’t have time to do that on top of all your pressing projects and clients. Bass amp allows you to get right to managing minus all the extra stuff that takes so much time to learn. I love that you get someone on basecamp and boom, they’re ready to use it and there’s no time lost. Cons I don’t feel like there is any part of basecamp I don’t like. July 27, 2017 5.0 Excellent project organization, easy to setup and assign deliverable deadlines, convenient discussion boards, easy upload feature for contracts, NDAs, and other documents. Pros As a content manager for an online school, Basecamp has been monumental in bringing all the necessary resources I need together in one place as I manage (often multiple) authors and courses for our business. From setting up and assigning deliverable deadlines, to uploading course outlines and contracts, to communicating and providing feedback during production, Basecamp quickly became an integral part of how we operate. Prior to discovering Basecamp, communicating everything and keeping production paperwork organized and transparent at all times was a major chore. Never could I have imagined how streamlined my workflow could have become with the use of this product. Never again will I live without it. Cons I have no feedback here. This is a great tool that any business should not live without. Kudos and thanks to the great team who has created this wonderful tool.
