You can also scroll through all files and see the progress of each project. That's quite useful. Cons It can get far too cluttered and complicated. I think it's clunky. Unless this is the only thing you're using Basecamp is pointless - you'll always have emails flying around. I'm yet to see a client get the hang of it. Review Source luis G. It gives you a true sense of feeling how your job is doing and helps keep people commutes to their deadlines. Cons Sometimes you can easily get overloaded with all the info it has. Pros The interface is so minimalistic and this makes the software easy to use. You don't have to spend a long time to learn how to use it. Multi-tasking in the software is quite easy. Cons Sometimes in Google Chrome, I had to turn off some extensions because the software did not work normally. Also several times I have faced the scrolling problem. Switched from [Asana](https://www.capterra.com/p/184581/Asana-PM/) Unlikely asana, basecamp is really useful for small businesses and as well as it is budget-friendly. Pros Basecamp has been around for quite some time in the space. As for Project Management, workflows are simple and easy to understand. It has all of the necessary features like setting up project boards, messaging, notifications (more to come in the cons), and searching to find bits you might have lost in particular tasks. Overall it's rather good, and has little to complain about really. Cons The most annoying features out of the box are it's notifications. They're seemingly on by default (or were in my install), and I'd receive tons of notifications both via email, and sometimes via PC. Now, I opted into this, but there's better controls needed for these notifications. In accounts with tons of tasks, and many hands on deck, it's a real pain to get a sea of notification emails. The recap of today's activity is probably all you need to keep your sanity. It helps our team manage projects by breaking each one into separate smaller tasks and trails. As a graphic designer, I never have an issue uploading artwork proofs or final print files. It's an easy, one-stop hub for our team. I love it. Pros I like that it easily keeps all of our marketing managers, trafficking manager, designers, and developers in constant contact. I like being able to upload artwork files directly into the message boards. Also, the search function is easy. Email notifications keep me in constant contact. I can easily reply to message boards via the link in emails. Love it. Cons Sometimes the number of emails and updates gets to be too much. I'm sure this is probably something that I can limit through settings. Also, our team still uses this software in conjunction with SmartSheet, which we use for high-level, birds eye updates. It is a terrific management tool. Pros Basecamp was very easy to implement. It is intuitive so staff training was a breeze and that ease of use contributed to staff buy-in and use. Pros It has the all used utility software platform integrated in one location which is very convenient Cons It is competing with Microsoft and Google software, so the future is uncertain, and the risk and time of switching platform after completing the learning curves and the implementation.
