### "Challenging UI"

February 2, 2021

2.0

Not great. I dread having to use it.

Pros

The to do list function is great, as is the timeline view.

Cons

It is incredibly difficult to find posts, documents, conversations, etc. There is no good search option, and posts and conversations get muddled and lost. The calendar doesn't sync well with Outlook and the default reply all/notify all is annoying at best.

### "Basecamp the best"

January 16, 2023

5.0

Pros

Extremely user-friendly. We had been the usage of Basecamp for nearly few months. During that point we attempted comparable applications and constantly got here again to Basecamp. The others didn\`t degree up. One issue that we adore is that there may be no garage restriction so we're capable of add massive documents frequently with out stressful approximately space. We like that we are able to upload customers to the venture however they can not see others. There are simply so many approaches to apply this to satisfy anybody's wishes and the fee may be very affordable.

Cons

Basecamp used to have an area to shop documents in a manner that become clean to find. They removed that function while shifting to BC3. We have subsequently gotten used to it however favored that our whole crew may want to get entry to documents multi function location as opposed to the usage of a separate software for it. When documents have been uploaded to a milestone, they have been mechanically introduced to the report tab which we cherished and would really like to look make a comeback ;)

### "Great for discussions but some UX improvements would be nice"

December 6, 2020

4.0

Pros

The template to show ideas with text, links and images is very clean and easy to read. The editor allows nice text formatting to improve readability. Discussions are dynamic and easy to interact.

Cons

It is very hard to browse through projects. The main dashboard could present your favourited projects, most recent one that you interacted with, instead of having this information hidden in the drop down menu in the top bar. Very confusing to use the timeline currently available, which also brings information about projects that are not so relevant at the moment. Also, when replying to someone's comment it is needed to tag them in your comment to notify. It would be very interesting to have a reply mechanism like Facebook has, showing the exact message you are referring to.

Didn't like the experience using Basecamp. Very confusing and hard to find projects, threads and information needed, although it is very good for discussions.

### "Project management for the win!"

September 26, 2019

4.0

We solved internal communications with Basecamp and greatly reduced emails.

Pros

The ability to tailor conversations around specific projects, with different "tools" to promote discussion, schedules, linking docs, announcements, etc. Since project management is not all discussion-based, it makes complete project management a lot easier. Assigning tasks is a huge benefit. It makes our project-oriented tasks (versus account/client-oriented tasks) easier to manage. We're a lot more organized with all the features of Basecamp and it's integration with Zapier.

Cons

At times, Basecamp can be slow. May be due to my company using the software for years so we have a lot of data.

### "Loads of features, but a bit too cluncky for today's collaboration solutions"

May 2, 2019

3.0

My office partners loved basecamp, but relying on their somewhat outdated notifications system proved to leave things unseen and unattended more often that is ideal. Its a powerhouse with a billion features, but was over complicated for my taste.

Pros

you can basically do whatever you want with Basecamp. There is a bit of a learning curve to find how to access each feature you want, and things can get cluttered very easily, but the system is very powerful and open to a billion possibilities. With a capable admin, Basecamp is a very powerful tool when the office uses google apps especially.

Cons

I found basecamp to be a little overwhelming coming in and struggled to make good use of it. I have found collab tools like Slack and Ryvr to be better for teams working on multiple projects at once. I frequently would get lost and distracted while trying to navigate basecamp.

### "One of the best solutions to manage projects to get feedback and working together with large teams."

June 6, 2018

4.0

It improves our performance as a team making collaboration really easy and quick.

Pros

It has a lot of different functionalities that makes this solution a great tool to manage projects of any type.

Cons

It is not easy to use and it takes a while to understand all the functionalities. Also, the way the comment history is layout sometimes is confusing, especially when a project gets long and the commenting can take forever to scroll down and up.

### "Basecamp Review"

August 9, 2018

5.0

Great experience. Love interface and design. Very useful and allows me to know how much work has been done on top of what needs to be done.

Pros

Super cute design. Easy to use. Keeps me on top of what has to get done. Great for project managing.

Cons

Sometimes the buttons to press get confusing where the project is vs what the to-dos are but its not something I cant figure out. Sometimes the text boxes get funky and wont allow you to press Enter for next line.

5.0

I liked how simple and everyone on our team could use it.

Pros

I like the chat option the uploading of files ease and the different basecamp folders and organization

Cons

Sometimes it could be overwhelming with lots of projects so we need to stay organized and come up with naming structures

### "Simplify the development of my personal projects"

March 21, 2018

5.0

This software is very good for the elaboration of projects in equipment, allowing to facilitate the processes of construction of the investigation and fomenting the participation of the members

Pros

It is a great program because, as a consultant in the oil field, it allows me to link to the project thanks to the tools provided by the program. It is excellent since it allows me to work on research projects as a team

Cons

Although the system is easy to use, there is still a slight technological gap in some of my colleagues, so I must explain carefully how is the use of this software, and they learn in an acceptable timeframe

### "Basecamp has been a game changer for our staff!"

February 18, 2019

5.0

We replaced Slack with Basecamp a little over a year ago. It has really helped the way our staff interfaces, and helped us be more efficient with our time, and we've even been able to cut out some meetings.

Pros

I like how it allows us to communicate on different levels. With Pings, we can talk privately to one another and not bother the while team. Campfires are great, and allow a specified group to talk about a certain topic (or work project). I like how you can apply the software to your many work projects and teams, and keep things organized that way.

Cons

Not too much, but sometimes I wish there were quicker ways to get back to things, or shortcuts, such as a side menu. Sometimes it seems a bit cumbersome to get out of one project you're deep into and over to another. Perhaps I have not learned a shortcut yet for that. Overall a really quality product! There have been a few "security breeches" they've notified us of (which I appreciate the honesty!), and it seems that they've avoided anything major, but that does tend to alarm anyone.

### "Basecamp for Tasks! "

September 6, 2019

5.0

We use Basecamp to manage and track project timelines, tasks, and milestones to ensure our projects are completed in a timely manner.

Pros

I love how easy to use and organized Basecamp is. It allows me and my colleagues to keep track of project tasks and timelines while keeping everyone accountable and on the ball.

Cons

In my years of using this platform, I have found no issues with it. It's simple to use, and intuitive so there is a minimal learning curve.

### "Long Time User"

November 20, 2018

4.0

Would recommend and its a good bang for your buck.

Pros

I actually use the oldest version available. As a company we left the tool for something more robust and platfrom. Didnt love it as much as Basecamp so we came back.

Cons

Both in the and old version could use some design updating.

### "Simple tool, it was just what we needed"

November 4, 2020

3.0

We use a far more robust tool at my current job, but at my last job, this was exactly what we needed. Basecamp is great for back and forth communication with agencies and I have had much success when agencies I worked with used it. When I used it at my last job when we were tracking tasks and statuses and highlighting priorities, it was perfect. It it great for the right use case.

Pros

Set up is a breeze, this is a very user-friendly tool and it is great for tracking tasks in list format. There was visibility into tasks and it was easy to assign to users.

Cons

When I used this at my last company I found the reporting to be minimal and almost non-existent. Limiting access seemed more of a challenge

### "Basecamp"

December 21, 2018

4.0

Overall, Basecamp is a solid project management tool. It probably falls in the middle of the road in terms of features and cost, but I couldn't say that for sure. My company has been using it since I started in 2016 and has not indicated a move to a different software anytime soon.

Pros

I think Basecamp is an excellent project management tool. My team uses the "Milestone" feature faithfully to keep our projects on track. The project manager can assigned different tasks and deadlines to various colleagues, keeping everyone in the know of their expectations. "Writeboards" are available for everyone to add notes or updates on specific projects. It functions similarly to a Google Doc, and you can send alerts to designated people when you've updated it.

Cons

There is not a really great file-saving component to it. There is not a great way to organize them, so it quickly becomes difficult to find the one you're looking for. It does not have the most functional/intuitive interface, so using it and figuring out where everything is takes some time to get used to.

### "Ease of use and a powerful solution "

April 8, 2019

5.0

Pros

Basecamp makes it incredibly easy to manage projects, client communication and streamline business processes.

Cons

The only thing I don’t like about basecamp is in version 3 the communication with clients is all email. I’ve had a few clients become frustrated by this.

### "Easy keep up with projects."

November 30, 2021

4.0

We had multiple projects going on at once with a scattered team, and this made it fairly easy to keep up with everything.

Pros

I like it’s ease of joining and project creation. It’s also great to be able to see how a project is progressing at a glance.

Cons

Constant notifications were annoying. Although I imagine those could be turned off.

### "Basecamp"

February 18, 2019

Basecamp is a great project management tool for an agency style organization.

Pros

I've used Basecamp for client facing projects and it was very simple to organize based on the client. When working with a team of people it's extremely easy to add tasks to projects when delegating work.

Cons

I have a lot of recurring weekly tasks that I use Basecamp for. At this time there isn't a feature for tasks to reappear week-to-week or even day to day.

### "Very good app to maintain record of your business conversion "

September 2, 2018

5.0

Pros

Basecamp is a very effevtive and useful app to track your discussion with your client. You can also keep your internal discussions here which can be always tracked later. By using basecamp you don't need to worry about remebering task client mentioned you to do its all there.

Cons

Sometimes it is annoying to search things among the projects as if you want to search in a project sometimes search appers in whole basecamp.

### "A decent businesswide message platform that keeps high-level knowledge readily available."

April 11, 2018

4.0

Pros

It's a great way to organize high-level discussions with co-workers and peers. It provides a better template for conversation than an email chain.

Cons

It's basically a gloried email chain. While it works better than an email chain, it certainly isn't more convenient.

### "Good project management tool"

December 30, 2018

4.0

Although we moved away from Basecamp, I liked the experience I've had with it. It was a start to organised project management for me, and we've done a few nice projects with it. I'd say it's good as a first choice for anyone not experienced with Project Management tools.

Pros

In my opinion, it's the best tool to start with project management, for basic project management as well. Easy to use and simple to set up. The tutorial videos help a lot on the way as well. I like the overall design. Using it with team members is great as well, quite straightforward and easy to collaborate.

Cons

From time to time it feels more like a todo list rather than a project management tool. Document section can get a bit confusing.

### "Basecamp for Agencies"

November 21, 2016

4.0

We started using basecamp 2 over a year ago. Then we upgraded to basecamp 3 six months ago Basecamp is great tool for collaborating with agency team and our clients very simple interface and easy to use, however it is lacking some features that I feel if it existed it will make basecamp experience better. For example a time tracking tool and a WIKI or a knowledge base

Pros

Easy to use, no onboarding needed. this is very important to our clients

Cons

Limited functionality, lack of time tracking and a WIKI

### "Excellent for project management"

June 30, 2018

5.0

Pros

It is a very good software for organizing teams and projects to achieve our company goals. The user interface is simple and intuitive. It's great to assign tasks and view all the progress of your team. Sharing docs across projects and teams is very helpful.

Cons

The only con I have with this software is that there is no offline option, so you require to be connected, this can be difficult sometimes on remote locations.
