But evolution was easier to read time left for tanning. Salon 10 looks like a program I used in kindergarten in 1989. Cons Worst customer service and support ever!! Wish I could give negative stars. IT is rude and condescending. Our credit card machine has not worked in 9 days, we can't open the register, print a receipt, and we had them reinstall the program because of a computer crash and data they added was from 5 months ago. So, we have not been able to run our EFT memberships for days, which is the majority of our money. They do not seem to care that we have not been able to sell anything and have to stay open and run our salon with our tmax. When you call them Will answers and says they will call back which takes forever, possibly days and that's even if they call back. I called and asked to speak to a manager and they have not even called me at all. They lock you into a credit card processor, which is world pay. World pay is equally as horrible. I cannot believe a company operates this way. I've heard tanlink is amazing and will be checking into them after this experience. Everyone we have a Windows update, I cringe... It usually screws up the credit card machine so you can't ring people up, until salon touch support gets back to you. It also allows for you to process sales and check stats of sales reports. Pros The best feature that SalonTouch has, is the pop up memo which allows you to easily communicate between employees so that everyone is on the same page in the work environment. Cons SalonTouch lets you store multiple clients, but I wish it would catch duplicate accounts so that there is no confusion on what client profile to click on. Reliable software. I like that it can manage inventories Cons They don't have a comparison chart that lays out actual benefits of pearl to evolution and we can't seem to see a big difference. The program has to be ran on your computer when you're signed in as administrator. This allows employees to download anything on the internet. This leaves us very vulnerable for viruses. Response from Vendor February 16, 2018 The SalonTouch Pearl software only requires administrator access with Windows User Account Controls (UAC) off during the installation process and during the software license registration. It does not need administrative access during normal day-to-day operations. Once the software setup is completed with administrative rights, you can switch to the standard user account with UAC turned on and use SalonTouch.
