Pros: I enjoy the fact that all my reports or pertanent information is just click away. Before I had to physically go through the paperwork, now I have immediate access

Cons: The only issue that I had was learning how to navigate the program. I still have not completely mastered things but the frustration is worth it

Pros: Parents have an easy access to signing their children in and out as well as staff members. The customer support has been very helpful in trying to figure out how to do some the things such as batch billing and reports.

Cons: The are several things that I have not been able to figure out yet. The book is not always easy to understand on how to find what I am looking for. I also have not figured out how to do some of the reports or how to do the staff schedule with child manager.

Moved to office manager from the classroom 3 years ago. Learning Childcare Manager was easy.

Pros: Easy to use, many functions needed in organizing classroom roster,accounting, birthdays, parental information for emergencies.

Cons: Not been able to use it to send statements through emails as computer took instructional book and then quit.

Overall: Moved from paper and pencil to computerized finances and rosters

Pros: The software is easy to use and I am able to create customized reports. The reports are detailed and can be customized to only provide specific information for each classroom.

Cons: There are occasional glitches in the software that cause the program to close while in use. I have to reload the software and start again.

Overall: All of the children's information is right on the screen which enables me to look it up faster than looking for information in a file folder in my filing cabinet. I am able to tract all medical records easily for staff and children.

Pros: It's intuitive on entering payments when the accounts are set up and it's easy to do year-end reports. I've been the sole operator in our district for over 8 years.

Cons: The batch email for statements are limited to certain types of mail systems and isn't supported by gmail. We have hundreds of families and maintenance at the beginning of each school year is labor intensive.

Overall: Elimination of paper reporting with email statements.

Pros: The customer service is helpful, and send you reminders about when things are due. They send updates so that you stay up to date on the best versions.

Cons: It can be a litle annoying when you're not up to date, and the cost is sometimes not worth it, if you're not using all that it has to offer.

Overall: We are using this to further our child care business. We can enroll as many children as we need to, and it works wonderfully as a billing and registration system.

Pros: I love how easy it is to process billing and tuition! With the click of a couple of buttons it's done! We now have electronic check in for staff and children at each classroom! The numerous reporting options are fantastic. Technical support staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I now have a quick and easy way to prepare for the annual state immunization reporting. Overall, the software has made my job so much easier and has freed up time that I can spend on other things!

Cons: My least favorite thing would be the process for calling to get technical support. I don't like that I can't call directly into them. Many times, by the time they call back I'm in the middle of something or miss their call so we end up playing phone tag. I don't like that there isn't an option for a secondary class that I can print a roster from. (There is an alternative but it doesn't work for us) The only other thing is that I feel as though the fees are quite high for processing credit card payments and cuts into our profit by quite a bit.

Overall: Time saver! More reporting options!

Pros: My favorite thing about this program is the ability to track family payments on the same program that we receive credit or debit card payments on.

Cons: My least favorite thing about Childcare Manager is not knowing what all of the functions mean. Too many options sometimes.

Pros: The most i like is how it tracks the kids payments and how you can keep track of staff information . The time clock also for kids and staff.

Cons: The least thing i like is i wish it would keep track of physicals for infants every six months and toddlers every year.

Pros: I like the variety of reports and their customization as well as the ease of use. Very easy to train new staff to use the software.

Cons: Occasional bugs/glitches with the filters and settings as well as payment processing at times. But these have been easily managed.

Pros: We mainly use it for billing, we don't use all the features. Love the invoices I can send to parents! I really like that I can call customer support and they can help walk me through things! I'm really looking forward to Rapid bill pay and our parents being able to pay using credit card.

Cons: Some of the reports my book keeper asks for aren't available. When I call customer support some are very help, some not as much.

Overall: We mostly use it for billing.

Pros: The batch billing is accurate and like that we can provide receipts as well as statements and tax statements. Like to have information about the children and familes as well as authorized persons able to pick up in one location.

Cons: When we check children in and out for batch attendance we set specific filters. When the last user sets these filters and the computers get logged off instead of listing all the children in the child center it defaults to those filters.

Pros: We love the various reports and the scheduling options. Our center has a variety of attendance options, and we are able to customize our class and "length of the day" attendance fairly easily.

Cons: We've had several issues with online support not being helpful. They almost always say it's "user error," and aren't inclusively helpful, only answer one problem at a time rather than giving us all the steps at once that are required to rectify a problem.

Overall: We are really looking forward to the online enrollment option. Before we had families enroll on our website, printed that out, then manually entered the family data. Now a new family's information will go directly to our database.

Pros: Easy to work with this program I like that I can have time clock for my staff and all the childrens files in the same place.

Cons: Some glitches with the door entry , however support helps us each occurrence. It seems that when there is a Microsoft update everything gets messed up.

Overall: Being able to process reports and time sheets as well as receivables in one program is wonderful.

Cons: bill page layout for parents. Many parents find the parent statements confusing and hard to read. Perhaps not so many columns?

Pros: It has a great accounting system for our tuition and payments. It has also made it much easier to keep our files up to date and track our families. Also like the ease of sending out center wide texts and emails.

Cons: I really don't have any cons to report at this time. It has taken some time to learn the system, but I feel I have had great customer support.

Pros: Ease in posting tuition, printing reports, etc. Once a family and child has an account set up, printing reports for finance or for classroom use is very helpful.

Cons: Some reports that I use need to be tweaked a little to fit my program needs. Sometimes I have to make do with a generic report that does not have all the features I need.

Overall: Saves me an enormous amount of time.

Pros: The self correction helps that pops up, are very helpful. I like that the system backs itself up whenever the program is shut off.

Cons: The software freezes up when you are doing a lot of changes, where i have to restart the whole program down and re-boot it. This usually fixes the problem.

A lot of times when I am shutting down the program I get a notice that Child manager was not able to shut down please report this or just shut down any ways. I usually shut down anyways due to the time of going home verses reporting the problem. It does not seem to hurt anything when I reboot the next day.

Overall: This software makes it easy to do my job easier, keeps us organized and looking professional.
The different features are very helpful when you know them or discover them it helps our school and our parents keep track of their statements.

Pros: The response by the customer support has been very fast. Whenever I have a problem, they are quick to respond. The training has also been very helpful. I know that I can find the answer by calling the support line.

Pros: The ease of use and the many options of reports, accounting, immunization records and informational reports are wonderful. I have not used the staff informational component but, plan on getting that up and running for next calendar year.

Overall: I get a total package that works for many areas of our center work...accounting, reporting, staffing and information. It makes my job easier and takes away so much of the stress.

Pros: The program is very user friendly. It is very easy to find information and reports. It is easy to input the family and children information.

Cons: When you void billing information or payments sometimes it does not reset correctly. It will have one amount on the families statement and another amount when you go to receive payment.

Pros: I like that CCM is not internet based and that I own the software. Many interne based preschool companies have come and gone

Cons: roll sheets and attendance forms cannot be enlarged. Monthly roll call sheets get a lot of complaints from staff because the text is too small. Maybe have every other line light grey to make it easier to follow across the page.

Pros: The program makes billing and collecting go more smoothly and quickly. The security it creates is a nice plus with using the parent's and employee key codes for building entrance.

Cons: Each year when starting out with the billing it takes a couple billings to get everything in order, but after we get the kinks worked out its great!

Overall: We received convenience of billing, security for children & staff with entrance codes, simple deposit procedures.

Cons: Reports that have been altered (payroll) and the date input option that just recently changed is awful. The inability to sort reports according to birth dates!

Pros: It's very people friendly. It helps me during tax season by keeping up with credits. Also I like that he goes far back with saving data

Pros: The software provides an alphabetical listing of parents and children which is helpful when there are different last names within families. Emailing of statements is very simple and efficient. Automatic notification to parents when payments are processed is helpful. Entering family information is simple.

Cons: Recording a payment returned NSF or cc declined is awful. The payment must be voided, rather than a separate entry made to show that the payment declined.
Refunding of a portion of a payment is NOT possible.
The reporting function is awful. I have adjusted to it, but it is very cumbersome when trying to do month end reporting.
The Other Payor accounting is awful - there is no way to identify correctly which child is receiving payment from the payor. The allocation to children is a bit arbitrary.
Extreme care must be taken when doing batch billing to be sure the billing is going into the correct period. Training for this is pretty non-existent. If you don't ask, you don't get guidance.

Overall: I like the ease of entering families/children. I like the alpha list of parents separate from children. This sounds trivial, but we have 3 locations and MANY families with different last names within the family. I like that I can pull up a family screen and see what location this family is in (use of Groups), what age group the child is in quickly. This software allows me to use both ACH and credit cards at any time to take a payment.

Pros: It keeps all of the information that I need on a daily basis in an organized and easy to use format.

Cons: I don't like that in order to use this software you have to have one computer set up as the "base" computer and it has to be turned on and in the office in order for anyone else to be able to use the information. Can be a problem when I travel and need to take my computer with me.

Overall: Having everything in one place on my computer makes this very time friendly.

Pros: Having access to the records at my fingertips. Being able to review balances and statements is pretty easy.

Cons: The training. There was only one trainer that would be available when I bought the program and she was going on vacation. I received a shorter version of the initial training since she was on her way out.

Pros: Ease of use for the most part. The ease of setting up accounts and tracking payments has been great. I like the screen views that see the family accounts.

Cons: DOES NOT WANT TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH MICROSOFT WORD... ALWAYS SLOWS THE SYSTEM OR CRASHES. The customer service and tech people are as helpful as they can be. I purchased a new screen for the timeklcock and after the fact, realized that it probably was not necessary. Then bought a hub to route around this timeklock failure issue (per help desk instructions), and this seems to now NOT be a solution.

Overall: easy to use when it works and does not crash my computer.

Pros: That the basic application is free for our center. We enjoy being able to stay connected to the families we serve. The families enjoy being able to see in real time the activities that their child is doing.

Cons: Not being able to send notes in the free edition. I believe this should be a free feature. I also find some of the interfacing not the easiest to use. It would be nice if non-profits were given all the paid features free of cost. We are a small center and cannot justify the monthly fee.

Pros: Maintaining child files and attendance sheets. I like to print class lists from the documents, change setting, etc. in order to get the form and information needed.

Cons: Staff scheduling is difficult with this program. I only can see one staff member's schedule when scheduling staff. I need to be able to see everyone's schedule while scheduling staff.

Overall: I'm able to click a button and see which child needs immunizations or a physical. I like that the attendance can be calculated and printed.

Pros: The wizards are great for making sure all fields are completed. Immunization tracking is SO helpful to ensuring our program is up to standard with our licensing authority. I also love all the reports I can print.

Cons: It does not export well to Quickbooks. I would prefer to export items/files more specifically. I would prefer to print a class roster and choose what type of phone number to print per the sponsor. Most of my sponsors only have a cell phone, but the roster only prints home phone.

Overall: Efficiency and ease of use.

Pros: i like that i can access my past and present families with little or no effort. I feel comfortable maneuvering around the report center.

Pros: Once you learn a bit about the program and play with it, it is relatively user friendly. Customer service has been a huge help with this. They helped us get set up, trained us a bit and are very available for any questions that arise.

Cons: It is not as customizable as I'd hoped. Specifically I wish that we could customize the search and repost options more.

Overall: The biggest benefit is having all of our information in one place and not having to work from multiple spreadsheets.

Pros: I like that I was able to select which modules I needed which was just the Time Manager portion to sign in/out staff and parents.

Cons: The ability to delete and reinstate a child is not possible. There should be an easy way to do this. Also there is one support person who seems irritated with questions and he seems impatient. All of your support people should be patient and understanding and take their time with customers.

Pros: It automatically prints receipts with one click. The reports are great. The features for a child care business are very good. However, there should be some way to edit report templates.

Cons: This program is not user friendly. I have had it for over 6 years and I still find it difficult to use. Also, it does not automatically back up in the "cloud". I thought your automatic back up was saving my data to the cloud. My computer was attacked with a virus and it wiped out ten years of data.

Overall: Fast record keeping and updates for immunizations and reports for taxes. I never use the employee section or individual child's program section. But I would like to. It seems complicated and time consuming.

Pros: The dash board is easy to navigate. It is easy to post payments and charges. I like that I can print reports so easy.

Cons: I would like to be able to run different reports that's not available. I would like to be able to run a report of sent emails.

Pros: after 4 years i am starting to understand it a little more. This last time i had to call in for help, i actually got a rather nice lady to talk too.

Cons: not customizable in anyway shape or form. it freezes also. i have even had the math not be right on the program. billing is so time consuming and a pain the but. i wish there was wasy to make each account differetn with arrangment etc. i miss a lot of maoney owed becasu ethe program is so plain based. it was great while my center was small but not as a big center.

Pros: Easy to use and understand. Timeclock is the only feature we still use for staff payroll and child carrival and departure records. All enrollment and billing has been moved to a different program.

Cons: Reports are not user friendly. I have never understood why you would set up a report that when exported to excel is not organizable or sortable.

Overall: good starter program. Since we have a school and a childcare we needed a program that could handle both so have backed off of using CCM for everything.

Pros: Easy to use, customer support is great and timely, reports are clear and not too involved. Price is competitive. Manual is well written and extremely helpful.

Cons: Would be nice if it had capability to transfer info from one area to another such as schedule & bus routes and Schedule & billing. If when inputting childs age and schedule it would then automatically select billing rates. Also, a better or quicker way to adjust billing when there is a school closing, etc. and charges need adjusted. Any included reports or components to help track waitlist a bit better would be helpful as well. I would love to have an app for staff to use on smart phones or tablet that would input attendance and meal counts.

Overall: Made the billing process much easier and understandable for me.

Pros: We love the Primrose Parent Portal and it's direct connection to CCM. The billing process is very smooth as well.

Cons: We really struggle with using CCM. I used Procare software for 10+ years before transitioning to CCM with Primrose. CCM does not have half of the features Procare offers. Childcare centers need same day ACH processing (run, removed from parents account, and deposited into school account on the same day), ACH should be able to post memo line item on the receipt sent to parents - instead I have to send individual receipts because Rapid Tuition receipts are not detailed enough for parents dependent care accounts, student transition/future classroom module, waiting list module, cleaning up of the report section - ability to click on items inside reports to generate additional items within the report, there are a lot of report options, but half the time, we can't generate the exact report we need - possibly a "report writer" section to specify our own needs, need additional custom fields for both students and employees - we track staff and student files and need more than 10 custom fields. Should be able to send batch emails to families and employees at the same time. I find myself having to create outside Excel workbooks and spreadsheets just to keep up with everything needed for our business. CCM should be capable of all of these functions.

Pros: I like the immunization feature, and the ability to change the requirements in there, as well as the reports offered.

Cons: It's a little disorganized with an insane amount of features that we would never use - you feel a little bit like you're paying for this expensive program, but only able to use 15-20% of the features. I would like streamlined options to choose from and add on as I've had trouble training others on this software because they get very overwhelmed. I also dislike the Custom Forms available for the Child section - it's very limited.

Overall: I love being able to check immunization records for all the kids in just a few seconds, rather than sifting through folders for an hour or more. We have definitely improved our immunization record-keeping as a result of this software.

Easy to use and support assistance is great when need it!

Pros: I like the ability to access everything within one program, I like the shot record feature for students and the training hour feature for staff. I would like to add student photos but do not know how without a training manual to give me instruction. It is very time consuming and counter productive to have to call and wait for a call back just to have to set another phone call for further instruction.

Cons: the accounting software leaves much to be desired. the formatting is too rigid and the report center is not clear on customizing. Also, it would be helpful to have a more detailed user manual to reference instead of having to call and set up a training session every time you have a question. The help option within the software seems outdated. This makes it very difficult to resolve issues in a timely fashion especially when you have reporting that is on time restraints. I don't understand why when voiding something like a family or cost account you can never go back and add it again. It would also be helpful on the accounting side if you could add group headings for a certain type of COA numbers and if you could establish a budget. Perhaps the software does that, but again without a user manual to reference I am unaware of that option. Pros: It covers all a daycare center needs, saves me tremendous amount of time. We made our own sign in sheets and age logs before that took 2 to 3 hours. Now in a matter of minutes we are finished. We absolutely love this program. When we need help the people are so wonderful.

Cons: Wish that the sign in sheet weekly (B) had a larger print. Some of us need larger print. I have been a Director for 29 years . It would be nice if we could change date on sign in as well.

Pros: The customer service is helpful whenever I have any questions. It is also just very easy to use. I love that everything is stored in the program, and I can just pull a family up, and be able to see everything I need to know, without having to pull the child's file.

Cons: I do wish that there was a way to enlarge the font a bit, sometimes it is hard to see. I also wish that there would be alerts or something when a child was due for shots, so that we would know when they need to be updated.

Pros: User friendly and phone support ongoing. I would say the biggest pro is that it is easy to use and has so many great options ! I like the fact that the company cares to have its customers write a review about Child Care Manager. Feedback is an important part of our relationship. Pros: All the features make it easy for my business. I am able to keep all my information in one place, making my day to day routine better.

Cons: I think sometimes it is complicated to see all the functionality and use it. It is always hard for me to navigate. Sometimes while printing attendance sheets and class sheets I am not able to do it correctly. I think it might just be practice, but the design could be a little easier to navigate. Pros: The technical support team is very nice. The software is very poorly designed. Employee attendance is ok. The options are very easy to select from. Creating user accounts is easy.

Cons: So much! You have to activate a child and family. There are no reminders to bill families. Emailing is difficult. Too much report restrictions. No roster management. It's a very counterintuitive software. It would nice if a child's Immunization was expired, the software drafts an email for you to send to parents (ProCare does this).

Pros: a new way to organize and cut out paper in our daily routines. I am excited about this system. just wish there were options to change certain things.

Cons: A LOT to start. I have between 40-60 students and had to individually input everyone's individual information, including contacts. What i found difficult...we live on a small island and don't have issues with who picked up who. Because of this, we ran into the many "codes" per family. a code for mom, a code for dad, an individual code per emergency contact. you cannot duplicate codes. There is NO option to have 1 code per family. I understand this helps in big cities where issues occur, but not on islands with 8,000 population in the winter. Most families will call and give a new name of who is picking up. so, to have 1 code per family would be helpful or at least having the option. We are currently trying to figure out how to by-pass this issue, so that we can utilize what we need. don't need to make things more difficult for families.

Overall: less paper, better way to organize and tally up numbers of attendance for staff and families we serve.

Pros: I love that everything is where I need it and so easy to add familys in and out and that I can run reports and do the taxes all in one site

Cons: I don't like that when you delete the family if a new one with the same last name comes in I cant use it I have to add a letter to it and also I would really like a nutrion one that I can ;use to keep track of the food counts and be able to run end of month reports also.

Overall: it is very friendly, and keeps all record ready for me

Pros: It can be an all in one for a daycare. Easy to edit charges and post payments. Timeclock module is great!

Cons: The only thing I'd change, is the ability to change charged items, once a payment has been applied. Now I must delete the charge and repost to make a correction.

Pros: Pretty easy to use most of the time. I just wish there was more training on the program like videos or YouTube.

Cons: I wish there were Utube videos for training on how to use program. I use it but don't do a lot of stuff because I don't know how and what it has to offer . The manual is too wordy and can't understand. Also when my subscription expired i couldn't even ask a simple question without paying . I ended up buying another year but sad customer service wouldn't help me without doing so.

Pros: It is extremely easy to teach anyone how to use the software. I especially like the ability to batch bill. Being a nonprofit, I wish it was less expensive.

Cons: I am unable to enroll the same child in two different classrooms. The child only shows up in one class. No other issues are a problem at this time.

Pros: Our office finds the software easy to use. It's quick to go in and out of each of the different programs. The overall program was easy and fast to set up. When we do have to look at the manual for guidance it's not difficult to follow. It's step by step. If we don't understand something we just call the Childcare Manager staff and they walk us thru. The billing system has also been easy and fast. We are billed annually thru our software program.

Cons: We have different grade groups and there is no way of identify a specific grade level for each kiddo.

Overall: Saves our office time.

Pros: That it helps track accounts and children. Like to see the head count each classroom. I also like the ability to email parents account information. I also like that allows us to email families of new inquiries and I like the lead tracking center. Lee tracking center makes it easy to manage giving the notifications in case we forgot or got carried away in our day to contact the client. I also like that it can convert them so you don't have to re-add them and do the work again.

Cons: It times out or I can't process reports I need. I don't like how I'll be in the program and another computer will be accessing exactly what I thought in and I will time out and then it's like I have to reset it and open the program again. I also don't like the program when it comes to staffing it's very hard and confusing to know the children in the classrooms and really what hours teachers need to be staffed at a given time I don't feel like it really takes the average and looked at the overall month to weeks in. I wish this feature could be better so I could staff my overall business better. I also wish the PTO would track like my payroll tracks it and putting in those functions so then they would have it when leaving I also would like the system to track teacher qualifications an hours from their learning and what they have is their background and add those in so would be easy to print off for state when state does their visit to show who has other qualifications completed and who doesn't also I'd like to track CPR and first aid and universal cautions.

Pros: Easy to use. Easy to learn and to train other personnel to use it. The fact that It automatically updates keeps my information safely updated.

Cons: Not being able to obtain certain reports. It is not on the cloud. I can not access the information from other computers. We had a server and We bought a software to install in the server but It was not going to work because it was on a sever. We did not get a refund and very lame customer service from Kurt Strong

Pros: Very easy to operate and learn. I use to use ProCare Child Management Software and have found this to be much more user friendly.

Cons: I wish CCM still had the Food Program module. This module would have made the Food Program forms easier to generate and submit to the USDA.

Pros: Adds up the deposits. I would not purchase this software again. I do not like the way you generate reports - the "modify report" limitations are difficult.

Pros: I like the family management and the ability to combine with my CRM and export to QB. The combination of the Rapid tuition service is also very convenient.

Cons: I feel the report system is lacking and not as user friendly.

Pros: The easy ability to enter the necessary information on family and child and view it on the same Family screen page, along with easy ability toggling back and forth. So much can be done from this Family Screen, such as adding contacts, adding charges, making corrections, checking account receivables, batch billing, printing statements and other reports. I also like the main task bar at the top of the screen.

Cons: I dislike the fact that even though we can deactivate a child, that child can still be clocked in, if a parent doesn't know how to clock in their active child only. Also, dislike that we can't correct a charge entry if a payment has been made. The charge has to be voided and then reentered.

Overall: It has made it very easy for beginners to use and enter necessary information.

Pros: I like that I can track everything I need in one place between families and staff. it is convenient to track payments, family info, staff info/time sheets and all that you have to offer in one place.

Cons: The frustrations I have is that it was set up under a different user so I am not authorized to make changes such as setting payment rates and whatnot. I just have to take the time to contact support and see what I need to do.

Pros: Easy to use, easy to train.

Cons: Lack of integration and any Import/Export tool. Also, ACH and Credit card charges too high to consider using for billing/collecting. Also, no automated HR features to even track performance or vacation/sick/personal days accrued or used other than entering notes.

Overall: Manage Child Care center staff/children/invoicing/collections

Pros: I love that all of your data can be kept in one application. It is nice that billing is made easy and that you can batch bill.

Cons: I would like to change and add some of the fields for example the shots for children, I wish you could change how many are required due to the number in shots in a series has changed. It would also be nice if you could add contacts into a drop down list so that it would be easier to add to different families and children. I have a lot of families in my center and they are on each others pick up lists and emergency contacts and it would be much easier if I only had to enter them once and then choose them from a dropdown list. It would also be easier if under employees, I could change their vacation/sick days to one countdown and the other one be training hours earned since that is how our school works. These are just some things that I would change.

Pros: Fast & accuracy! It saves me a lot of time & I love how it is for children as well as staff. I can keep up with many types of records for the children & staff. Love how it lets me know when expiration dates are nearing!

Cons: A couple of things I'm unable to do with drop in or full time billing. My program does not charge when the program is closed. I have to go in each account to credit that specifics day's charges.

Overall: Accuracy & time saved!

Pros: I liked the tech support and felt that I knew the technicians, personally. The technicians support always responded promptly when needed. I feel comfortable calling with any questions.

Cons: Just that i haven't been able to put to use all that is available in the program, but that is not the fault of the program. I feel like I still need more training to understand what the options are and how to use them.

Overall: Made our billing professional and accurate. It is great for employee log ins It is great being able to pull up necessary reports.
