Overall, my experience with Celoxis has been positive. It is useful for managing projects, tracking progress, and keeping my teams aligned. Once I became familiar with the features, it was easy.

Pros

I like the clean interface, easy project tracking, and strong reporting features. It keeps everything organized and makes it simple to stay on top of tasks, timelines, and team progress.

Cons

The learning process can be a little steep in the beginning, especially for someone like me or new users. Some features take a bit of time to understand and set up the way you want, the way I want to customize it.

Overall, Celoxis has been a good experience. It helps us keep projects organized, track tasks, and collaborate with the team in one place.

Pros

I like Celoxis because it keeps project work organized, makes team collaboration easier, and gives good visibility into project progress and tasks.

Cons

The interface can feel a little overwhelming at first, and some features take time to learn. It could also be a bit more intuitive for new users.

Overall, my experience with Celoxis has been positive, especially from a finance and reporting standpoint. Having project scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and reporting all in one platform has cut down on manual reconciliation and given much clearer real-time visibility into where projects stand financially. There was a learning curve getting the team fully comfortable with it, and the interface could feel more modern, but once configured, it's been a reliable tool for keeping projects on budget and on schedule. The Lex AI assistant has also been a nice addition for quickly surfacing bottlenecks and resourcing gaps without digging through reports manually.

Pros

The standout for me is how well Celoxis handles the financial side of project management alongside the usual scheduling tools. Resource allocation, budgeting, and time tracking all live in the same system, so cost variances and utilization rates are visible in real time instead of being reconciled after the fact. The customizable workflows and approval processes also make it easy to enforce controls without slowing teams down, and the reporting engine is flexible enough to build the kind of management-ready dashboards you'd normally need a separate BI tool for.

Cons

It has a steeper learning curve than most PM tools because it packs in so much functionality, and the interface could use a visual refresh — it doesn't feel as polished as some newer competitors. The mobile experience is also weaker than the web version."

We moved to Celoxis around a year and a half back from spreadsheets and a very basic tracker, and about 12 to 15 of us use it daily. For portfolio level tracking and client reporting it has genuinely helped, my weekly status reporting work has come down a lot because the dashboards do most of it. Support has been decent, replies usually come within a day, though sometimes I have to explain the issue twice. It is not a flashy tool and it needs patience while setting up, but it is stable and I have not faced any downtime worth mentioning.

Pros

The custom reports and dashboards are easily the best part for me. I handle around 9 to 10 client projects at a time and in one screen I can see resource load, budget burn and which tasks are slipping, without chasing anyone for updates. The Gantt chart is properly interactive, so if one dependency shifts the whole plan adjusts on its own. Timesheet approval is also simple, my team fills it weekly and I clear it in two clicks.

Cons

The interface looks dated when you compare it with newer tools. It works, but it does not feel modern and new joiners in my team take 2 to 3 weeks to get comfortable. Initial setup was the bigger pain, it took us close to a month to get workflows and approval levels right, and correcting a wrongly configured workflow later is not easy. The mobile app is average at best, I use it only for approvals.

Switched from

[Microsoft Excel](https://www.capterra.com/p/176574/Excel/)

Spreadsheets stopped working for us once the number of parallel client projects went up. Version confusion and manual status updates were eating too much time, so we needed a proper tool with resource loading and one single source of truth.

Pros

What I like most about Celoxis is that it keeps projects, tasks, deadlines, and progress organized in one place. I like being able to see what needs to be done and how everything is moving along without having to jump between different tools. It’s useful for staying on top of multiple tasks and makes planning work easier.

Cons

What I like least about Celoxis is that it can feel a little overwhelming at first because there are so many features and options. Some parts take time to learn, and the interface isn’t always as simple as I’d like. Once you get used to it, it works well, but I think it could be more beginner-friendly.

Overall, my experience with Celoxis has been positive. It gives me a centralized view of projects, tasks, resources, and deadlines, which makes project management more organized. The dashboards and reporting save time compared with maintaining information across multiple spreadsheets and tools. Once the initial setup is understood, the platform becomes much easier to work with. I would recommend it to teams that need a more structured project management solution, although new users may need some time to get comfortable with all the features.

Pros

Celoxis brings project planning, task management, resource allocation, and reporting together in one place. I particularly like the dashboards because they make it easy to see project progress, deadlines, and workloads without going through multiple spreadsheets. The collaboration and reporting features are also useful for keeping the team aligned and reducing manual tracking.

Cons

The main drawback is the learning curve when getting started. There are quite a few features and settings, so it can take some time to understand the best way to configure everything. The interface could also be a little more intuitive for quick day-to-day updates, and some of the more advanced features could have clearer guidance for new users.
