Gant chats, time tracking is excelent Cons Pricing - for the small team it is overly expensive. Once in a while the underlying API changes and if you using custom application to access the data from Celoxis for reporting you end up spending time of adjusting application. Whenever we have needed new user licenses added in celoxis team has been super quick in responding Pros The time entry and consulting report maintenance are great features. You are able to extract most reports as csv's which is a plus Cons The way you create tasks and subtasks is good. The features for both the project manager and project resource are straightforward and exactly what we need. The Celoxis team continues to introduce new features with every version and builds an easy-to-use product. The customer service has always been helpful whenever I've had a question or issue. Pros Once you are trained, it is very easy to learn the rest of the software! It helps us stay organized and keep track of our projects across all teams. Cons I wish the timesheet options were more customizable and that fewer clicks were needed to get things done sometimes. We have to log time for setting up Celoxis tasks as it eats into billable hours. Pros You can track the percentage of progress with your project. Cons For projects its difficult to see how much time has been recorded over a period of time. It is not straight forward to set up a task . It is trying to be everything but master of nothing. Pros It is comprehensive, it definitely has potential but it needs to evolve more quickly. It feels clunky and outdated. It is not very visually appealing. It is so cumbersome to enter time sheets. Everyone hates doing their time sheets to begin with, it needs to be easy and fast to do. Cons It is too complicated to do things quickly, when you enter time in the mobile version, it does not list the entries by project name, it lists them by task which is not helpful. I would like to see an app that has alerts to remind me to fill in my time sheets, machine learning / AI that knows better anticipates my needs, and communicates with me like an assistant. I would like to be able to enter my time sheets with voice command. July 14, 2015 4.5 Pros Celoxis saves us a ton of time. It gives us an easy way to report information and helps us make better decisions about the projects and their budgets. Prior to using Celoxis, our reporting was a manual and time-consuming process. Reporting required our managers to explicitly reach out to team members and other stakeholders, gather information, then document it. There was no timely communication and we’ve had to always scramble to meet our ‘go-live’ schedules. Now that everything is standardized and real-time, our managers are easily on top of open issues and can see when projects risk slippage. We can create KPI reports and dashboards for our management to keep them up to-date on the progress. Cons Their salesperson was a little slow to respond initially, but he was able to help me with a demo of the product and answer some of my initial queries about pricing and licensing. I felt the initial connect for a vendor was somehow missing, but with a fantastic tool that helped us achieve where we are today, I am certainly willing to discount that part for now. Pros It's a very well set up ppm tool that is easy to learn. Chat is always there to help you and it's a real person not a AI. It's ease of use for time entry has proven to make for much more accurate and timely time entries, and the project/time/task/resource reporting features are top notch. As a project manager, I used to spend hours and hours trying to get various views of project data, and Celoxis makes that much easier. Another feature that I feel sets it apart from other platforms, is the ability for me to create my own personal Dashboard where I can customize it to show the views and tasks that are important to me. Project Manager E-Learning Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great Features but Needs Work" April 11, 2017 3.0 The tool has a lot of great features to include a lot of fields for details of a project; however, I have had issues with saving and the project rolling back up to another line, so I am constantly losing my place. It is a very annoying issue with the tool. The tool often runs slow with saving and has some weird issues with using 1/2 days for the duration. I contacted the help desk and even shared a cloned project to have them fix the issue with saving and it relocating you to another place in the project plan but nothing was ever done about it. I never got a response. This issue really needs to be fixed. Additionally, when you expand and collapse items, the system needs to save that for the next time you open up the project plan. Pros The features and reports available. Allowing you to add hours for projects in the same tool as the project plan. Cons Saving and it relocating you to another place in the project plan. Pros Simplicity of installation and administration. Was able to roll out to entire departments in minutes. Users (non-technical) adapted to the tool rapidly. Cons Some features that exist in other tools are lacking or not as full featured. But it is an acceptable trade-off for less technical users. Reporting was very manual and time consuming. Executive dashboards were non-existent. Celoxis has improved this process for us immensely. We are able to prioritze workloads based on upcoming projects. Pros As we did not have a previous system that was being used within the company, it was great to be able to integrate Celoxis into our daily work. It was very straight forward and able to provide us with what we were initially looking for. The more it is being used the more we are gaining from it. The online help chat is extremely useful and I find everyone very helpful. Cons What I feel is missing is more direction on the initial set up with what you are able to do from a reporting function, as well as from a financial perspective. Its not until you are actually using it on a daily basis are you able to realize what it can /can't full do. The most easy to use solutions offered poor features, and the most powerful ones were very difficult to implement and run on a day-to-day basis. We ended up opting for Celoxis which significantly improved our workflow and keeps our projects under full control. Give it a (free) try! Pros The balance between ease-of-use and power.
