Good performance and competes with our other standard database options if approved. Cons Compared to other similar products the options can be overwhelming, but once understood you can easily integrate this into your organisation. Pros Oracle Database is very stable and can handle large amount of data efficiently. It is pretty much secure and is available on cloud as well. Cons The price of it is very hefty. Installing and setting it up is a pain point as the entire process is time and space consuming. These two areas are something that Team Oracle can work upon. It allows setting up of the database in a very flexible way allowing normalisation at highest degree. Data modelling of simplest to the most complex systems is enabled allowing for different constraints to be used ensuring data integrity is maintained. I have liked using the database as a developer and as a designer and architect. Pros Data retrieval is fast. Data organisation is good... especially in a RDBMS environment Good fit for OLTP systems Lots of great functions out of the box Data management, data integrity, meta data usage is pretty good... Pros What I liked most about this software is selecting tree structure data by just "Connect By" keyword. It provides the most flexibility which you can consider. Cons Oracle database best performance can be gained just by installing it on the Linux Distributions. If you install it on the Windows, performance will decrease and some times Listener Service will stop without any specific reason. Switched from [Microsoft SQL Server](https://www.capterra.com/p/1417/SQL-Server/) 13 years ago when I switched from SQL Server, SQL Server was too weak in the manipulation of Tree Structure Data and also it was too weak in Memory Management. SQL Server could not release the taken memory after a short time. SQL Server also had a bug in the triggers. But my personal experience is positive. Pros The best advantage of Oracle is that it incorporates flashback technology which allows economical review of data incorrectly lost or deleted. This technology removes human errors. Cons It is complex to use and costly in comparison to competitors. And also Oracle is only useful when big data needed. It handles our data smoothly. Pros Temenos T24 integrates perfectly with Oracle databases. We have been using Oracle Database since 2019 and are pretty much satisfied with the performance of the database. It handles big data i.e. Customer data, accounts, Loans , Deposits data very smoothly. We have arround 3 million customers , 5 million loans and deposits, around 7 million accounts. Cons Whenever we perform any changes in the T24 core application (Customer, Account, Loan) i.e. add new local field we have to rebuild the table. Otherwise data will become logically incorrect.
