Great product, we use it daily. Many different work arounds and multiple ways to get to each window.

Pros

Eaglesoft is consistently putting out updates to improve their operating system and it has been the best dental software compared to others.

Cons

It is a little glitchy at times but all in all a great product. Would recommend to any dental practice

Very positive! We rarely have any concerns with Eaglesoft, but the technicians are always pleasant and ready to help if we do need anything.

Pros

Scheduling and changing appointments is a breeze with Eaglesoft! This software integrates nicely with other systems (payment processing, patient communication...etc.). User-friendly and straight forward for training of new employees.

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the correct Eaglesoft report. It would be nice if the reports were a little more streamlined.

Our overall experience has been very good. Our main contact is quick to reply and all of our vendors work within eaglesoft.

Pros

We use Eaglesoft daily and it has so many functions to make our jobs much easier. Support is fantastic.

Cons

The system does go down several times a day. It is not for long periods but it is still a bit aggravating.

Great! I have used Eaglesoft at several dental offices in 13 years and it's easy to navigate appointment scheduling.

Pros

Lots of features on how to accurately treatment plan for patients and it is very user-friendly for staff members.

Cons

Not being able to delete old items we no longer use (labs, insurance companies, etc) and deleting patients that have accidentally been put in the system twice.

Pros

Eaglesoft is a great program for people in the dental profession. It is incredibly easy to use for patients and compatible to other softwares.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything bad to say about Eaglesoft. It has been nothing but helpful in my practice.

It is good and safe to use. One other thing I don’t really like is I either need patient name or chart number to look patient up. I can’t use patient phone number to look up.

Pros

Security is good. You can hide patient information on your screen. By only displaying patient chart numbers. Learning how to use it is easy. It take one week.

Cons

Sometimes it freeze and force me to log out or restart my computer. I don’t know why but I think it get tired sometimes.

It was great when we first switched decades ago, but its flaws greatly outweigh its benefits. We were consistently told things were "known" problems by support, but no timeline to fix most of those bugs (like storing photos without them disappearing from patient files, etc.)

Pros

No frills, no nonsense practice management software. Easy to use and view scheduler. The team picks up on training very quickly.

Cons

Feels outdated before you even use it, and the "updated" features feel like you're in 2002. Instead of updating or adding features, it just has added partners so you end up spending hundreds of dollars per month on additional monthly subscriptions just to have updated features (like online forms, patient outreach, electronic statements, payment partners, etc.).

Painful and wish I could switch but they have some of the database locked down so you can't convert easily....

Pros

Support answers the phone eventually, but normally the issue is that development has not fixed an old issue and that they have not kept up with technology.

Cons

Really developing and fixing eaglesoft stopped 15 years ago. Changes today are mainly cosmetic. Imaging resolution is stuck in the 80's....can't save HD images, can't use HD cameras - will have to dumb down resolution to get ES to work - know issues for years and no attempt to fix it. database is a 32 bit database living in a 64 bit world........

Our overall experience with Eaglesoft is positive, and just like any program is not without downfalls. But the benefits of Eaglesoft definitely outweight the negatives, as there aren't too many.

Pros

Eaglesoft does allow us to do many things that simpler dental software cannot, and most of that starts with reporting. There are many comprehensive reports that allow us to see what is going on throughout our practice, including but not limited to: production, collections, insurance, accounts receivable. The list goes on. But most importantly, this allows us to keep track of everything that's going on with our patients, from a clinical and administrative perspective.

Cons

Customer support with Eaglesoft is severely lacking. Every time we experience any issues are bugs, we are politely told to deal with it until the next software update. But they do make it very difficult to do updates.

Reason for choosing Eaglesoft

We have used Eaglesoft in this office since I have been employed here, and as far as I know, for the last decade or longer.

Overall is easy to learn software, great for keeping patient's data. All the staff like it and if the support wasn't discontinued in Canada most likely we will not change it. Also customer service was on great level, always fast response on support when we need it.

Pros

Financial tab- easy to navigate through all financial transactions, filters in account to enter criteria as period of time of payments or patients on same account. Also reporting is super clear- Production, Adjustment, Collection! Treatment plan reports, report by procedure codes are great. Report for certain period of time can by done by the end of the day/ month/year (closing reports) or by specific date. This way you can have perfect accuracy in data. Another great future is the calendar window pinned on the left side of the screen which easy can take to a different day.

Cons

Cancelled appointments go to so called Quick Fill List and is the only one option to create a contact for incomplete treatment. Also the notes on this appointment can be deleted any time, they are not permanently saved and do not carry the information of who did it and when unless entered manually- but then once again this info always can be deleted.

Pros

I like that when I first used Eaglesoft, I was able to learn the most basic features very quickly. Learning more over the years, I am able to utilize most needed to get my job done as well as teach new comers.

Cons

I do not like that the alerts do not pop up when I go to walk out. Some alerts we made were account related. I also wish there were a cloud-based version of this although, given the data and memory capacity, I know that would not be possible.

With Eaglesoft it is so easy to see ahead, schedules, production, billing and claims can be found and reviewed with a stroke of a key. This is such a time saver to plan for the future days, months weeks.

Pros

The most impactful feature for our office is the reports you can create. Each report is easy to customize and utilize for your business needs.

Cons

I feel the FAQ website for Eaglesoft could be improved to include more detailed information when a issue or questions arise. I would prefer not to have to call support.

### "Eagle has landed, but a bit too Soft (needs more Ummph!)"

It was great. But since 2020, looks very dated. Many old icons and options that no one uses anymore. It's time to rewrite the entire software from the bottom up, a super fresh makeover. Outdated coding makes it hard for the writers to catch up with technology.

Pros

Good integration between the schedule, the images, the treatment plan. Love how we are able do the same task using 2-3 different ways.

Cons

1) very poor customization with teeth charting2) non-intuitive and complex menus3) very slow to incorporate latest technology (still cannot use on apple devices / takes at least 6 months to be able to install after every new windows version)3) not mobile friendly (in 2022 - can you believe that?)

I am a huge fan of Eaglesoft. Very easy to use, extremely easy to learn.

Pros

I think that Eaglesoft is one of the easiest, most concise dental office software out there. Practice reports, patient reports are easliy accessible for administrative purposes.

Cons

One thing I'm not fond of with Eaglesoft is the rescheduling of appointments, I think there could be a better, quicker way of doing that.

### "Started as a great product but not keeping up to date"

Our office worked with Eaglesoft for 20 years. We had ups and downs with it, but generally speaking it was user friendly and had good functionality. It did lack in the ability to create customized reports. For the last few years, we did not feel there had been many updates to the software and it never seemed like any requests/suggestions for upgrades were addressed. The issue with having to use non-supported MS Office 10 was frustrating to say the least. Glitched at times with Vyne for our electronic claims as well. Two months ago our office converted to a cloud-based software because of our opinion of the lack of updated technology and upgrades to ES.

Pros

Eaglesoft has many great features and it is generally very user friendly

Cons

It is a server-based system that does not seem to be keeping up with the times. For example, the most recent version of MS Office that it is fully compatible with is 2010; which is not supported by MS any longer. It is also only compatible with a very select few printers and scanners.

I have used Eaglesoft since 2002 and am very glad I made the choice to do so. If I had to do it all over again I would not have changed a thing.

Pros

It is extremely user friendly and intuitive. Most functions are graphical so if you have a difficult time doing something you can figure it out just by looking. Well integrated products including their imaging software.

Cons

New staff struggle a bit because it is not the most popular software out there, but once they learn they are hooked!

It's faster than many of the other softwares out there. When it works, it does work well. People who use Eaglesoft tend to like using it, but you'll have their support on speeddial.

Pros

Eaglesoft has a lot of great features. It's very easy to administer your users, and the audit reports are great. It checks all of the boxes for HIPAA compliance in an EMR. When Eaglesoft works, it works very well. Also, it is faster than some of the competitors out there.

Cons

The software has to be configured for each user, so if you are on a domain, you basically need to configure your preferences for every single user on every computer. This takes time for deployment. Sometimes, digital sensors or cameras need to be re-set up in the preferences because settings will be lost, and this can be a big hassle if you are on a domain network. I have to mention the ridiculous hold time for support. If you use Eaglesoft (or really any Patterson software), you'll need to call for support from time to time because things will stop working. I can't count the number of times I've had to reinstall this software on the workstations. This wouldn't be a huge deal if you didn't regularly have 20+ minute hold times, which is a big deal especially if you are down an operatory. I'd personally avoid this software.

Pros

I have tried, and used, many different dental practice management software systems, and I have concluded that Eaglesoft is by far the best system on the market. It is both easy to use, and user-friendly. The customer service, support, and live help features are outstanding - the staff are friendly, very knowledgeable, willing to work with you and very effective at solving problems. Updates are released regularly, and they often include great enhancements. Eaglesoft has a lot of features and capabilities; it is great to have them all in the same system and able to be easily integrated with other applications we use. Using Eaglesoft saves our practice a lot of time, money, and headaches.

Cons

There are definitely some enhancements that should be made; my office has put in quite a few enhancement requests recently. There are some issues with editing insurance company information and sending claims that need to be worked out a little better. I wish it had better capabilities in tracking financial and performance metrics, as well as making that data more accessible and in a friendlier format. I am also not impressed with the time clock, and have recently decided to use a time clock system that is included in the human resources management system we use. That is another improvement Eaglesoft could make - have more human resources capabilities, or perhaps have Patterson create a human resources application that integrates with Eaglesoft (like RevenueWell for patient management).

So user friendly. Everything is right at your fingertips. If you have any questions at all they are quickly and efficiently answered by customer service.

Cons

I really dont have any complaints for this software. If I have ever had any questions or issues it has been resolved in the matter of a few minutes by simply chatting with customer service.
